When it seemed the messages from Faustite had left off some, Nectaris found herself desperately scribbling a note to someone else. Quote: Encke? Can you bring me some mac and cheese? I'm just at that one parking lot a couple of streets over but I don't think I should power down right now? Also I just need advice, Faustite figured out how to text me on top of everything else. It was on a sticky note, of course. She still had a few heart ones left over from Valentine's, although she was getting close to the bottom of that stack, but she pressed her ring into the corner of the paper and sent it off. Then she went back to curling up against the decorative brick wall at the edge of the parking lot, her eyes brimming as she looked up at the moon. She didn't like this. She didn't like any of this. She'd been doing okay, she hadn't freaked out about her family in a few days in a row, but then Faustite had to bring it up and now it was all swirling to the surface. And, like, that was without the sinking feeling in her stomach about the rest of this whole situation, and what everything might mean.

Encke didn't quite receive the message instantly, not until he had decided taking his make-up off the traditional way was exhausting. When he managed to leave the set, the first thing he did was transform, sighing in relief as all the finery of the day melted away into something completely different and much louder. He saw Nectaris' note floating nearby almost instantly, of course, and the relief of the day being over didn't get to last terribly long. On his senshi phone, he tapped out a, "It's gonna take a few, but I'll be there as soon as I can be." Faustite had a way to text across factions like knights did now? He didn't know if that was truly a good thing or if he should be concerned. On one hand, if they were really coordinating this purification, a way for at least one side to get in touch a bit easier was an improvement. Could work out places to meet, people to see, and things to do on that path. On the other, Nectaris seemed a bit ... freaked out. That was a bit foreboding. When he arrived at that parking lot, he was holding a bag with a couple warmed up bowls of mac and cheese inside. Figured a bit of an extra dose might help ease her a bit -- or if she wanted him to eat with her, he could do that. "Hey," offered Encke, dropping his voice down. "If you're worried about powering down, is this a safe place to talk?"

It wasn't impossible for Nectaris to get herself collected without someone around to give her food an emotional support. It took longer, but she did it all the time when she didn't want to bother people. Which, was to say, by the time that Encke had managed to pull himself away from work finally, Nikki had switched from the mode where she was full-on crying at the moon to the mode where she was slumped over against the wall, mindlessly and sadly playing games on her phone. The game was pretty cute, at least. If she won enough puzzle levels, she got to fix a house. Encke's aura was hard to miss, and when she felt it coming, she stopped the game and glanced up at him, waving. "Hey," she said. "Missed you." It felt like he'd been working so hard lately. Which, was cool! He was in movies, it was awesome, it just also meant that she still hadn't gotten a chance to talk to him about basic stuff, like the state of her love life. Now there was this happening on top of all of that. "It should be okay, nobody's been around except for us. It was just that he was addressing his stuff to Nectaris, I just wanted to, y'know, be Nectaris in case he decided to send something else." Although with the time that had passed since his last message, she was pretty sure he was done now.

"Missed you too," admitted Encke with no hesitation, as he started rooting around in the bag he held. With that hand, he pulled out one of the warmed bowls of mac-and-cheese and held it out for her to take, pulling out a spoon for her to eat it with afterward. And it was true -- between everything with his work and making sure to visit his comet and attend to other civilian life things and attend to everything that was happening in his powered life -- how was Faustite doing, for example --, his time relaxing at home over the past little bit had been at a minimum. It was rewarding as much as it was chaotic-- Ignacio Cesar Araya-Bell would not have minded a break, but this would do. Encke's mildly tense state diminished when she clarified that she was primarily powered up in case any more notes came from Faustite. He was still trying to figure out how Faustite had sent Nectaris much of anything. He thought that was just a knight thing. Encke sure couldn't send a message to anyone not of Order. Could the Negaverse do it now, too? Did he figure out some other way? Had Faustite somehow purified already? ... Okay, that last one was the most unlikely one of all the options, especially considering literally every other tidbit, so he'd put that one aside at the onset-- "Glad he's stopped now, then. Seems like he had you pretty worried." Encke decided to settle next to her, debating eating the other mac-and-cheese himself or just keeping it at the ready for her. "Well, if we're safe to just sit here..." Maybe she could also tell him what was up.

"He has me pretty worried," said Nectaris, and there wasn't anything past tense about it. It was true that the firey letters had gotten her all startled when they'd first started appearing, but just because they'd stopped didn't mean her anxiety was settling down. If anything, the worries had more time to, like, marinate. She wasted no time in taking the bowl and spoon and digging into her favorite comfort food. This was one of those times when she was so stressed that she probably could've finished off the whole thing in under a minute, but she had things to say first, so after chewing the first big bite, she turned back to her brother. "He was asking about identity. Not glamour," she said quickly, because she didn't want to give the wrong idea, "Like, who I am at my core, and how that changed over time, with the Chaos and the purifying and everything. It's stuff that makes sense for someone who's thinking about leaving, and I answered him honestly, 'cause, that's the good person thing to do, right?" She looked up, begging Encke to confirm that she was right. He knew how she felt about being a good person. "But, at the same time, all I'm thinking is, he's got a way to message across factions." Which, now that she was thinking about it, a signet ring would've done something similar, but those least took some time and effort to get. "All I'm thinking is about how Pendour said that if he's just trying to fix his youma problem, he might try to go back to the Negaverse once we get him to stop dying. Which, like, she wants to let him leave and try to get through to him in that window of time, which, like, fair, but also-" The words were starting to tumble over each other, and she had to stop to sniff in a breath and take another bite. "Then I start thinking about how he's Information, and I start thinking about how he's desperate and how desperate people do, like, high risk high reward types of things. I'm thinking, what if he gets out, and he starts getting all friendly, and then he's, like, magic-texting all his husbands about where we live?" Maybe she was being dumb and letting the what-ifs get out of control, but she couldn't stop the worries, 'cause, like, maybe she wasn't.
