Seeing the same sky every night was strange. The city lights made it impossible to see the stars, but he could see the moon when it came into orbit, and if he wandered farther out of the city, some stars and planets were visible.

Velencya wasn’t a stagnant world. It moved as needed and offered views of amazing astronomical phenomena. Aliez was still young comparatively, so he knew he had a lot to see in the universe. It made him miss his home even more.

And it made him all the more determined to do something about trying to help save his home and his family and friends who lived there.

He knew the risk of trying to seek out others. He knew many Senshi and Knights did not trust them, and he knew the Negaverse wasn’t always helpful, and often just cruel. But he wanted to try.

Trying to find Senshi or Knights when he couldn’t feel what they call their auras, and not having one, himself, made it difficult. He always had his hand over the button to warp back to the home he shared with the others, or to the home where the Commodore was staying, just in case.

So far he’d only spoken to a very confused civilian, but was grateful that it was dark so he didn’t have to explain his ears and non-earth skin tone… Or maybe some humans just didn’t care.

He was hesitant when he saw another potential civilian wandering around the paths in the park just outside the city, he almost didn’t stop to talk to them. But there was something… off…

It was like they were… confused…? Dazed…?

Again grateful for the darkness, Aliez removed his cape from around his shoulders and used it as a hood instead, in an attempt to hide his ears. But if someone was in distress, he couldn’t just ignore them.

“Excuse me,” he said, his voice quiet as he approached her. “Are you… okay…? Are you injured? I have some medical supplies and water if you are thirsty.”

Wezen stopped, turning when she heard the voice and watching the form approaching her in the dimness. Darkness was nothing new to her, though she was no more adept at seeing in it than anyone else here seemed to be. It was curious, considering her world was always dark, where this one cycled through periods of light. The blue sky, too, had taken her quite some time to get used to. Being out at 'appropriate' hours was another adjustment, though the lack of humans in the evening was something she had come to expect.

Other things came out at night, and usually they were fun in their own right. There was no time of day or night that had not, at least yet, offered her something new to experience and wonder about.

Her own pointed ears hidden beneath the waves of her golden hair, the freckled alien did not smile in greeting, though she did raise her hand up and wave it stiffly in a way she had seen others doing. Or. Close enough.

Even speaking with others was strange. Her grasp on the language was tenuous, though thankfully it was a very simple speech. Hearing her own voice for the first time had nearly been too much for her, and she struggled with volume control and intonations continually. Still, a very patient and kind Senshi had shown her so much in her short time on this planet, and never seemed to grow tired of her endless questions.

"I am uninjured," she reassured, a strange sound, almost a purr, escaping her as she examined him curiously. She got close. Too close, maybe, noting there seemed to be very many differences between him and the humans she knew even under the protection of the gloom. "You carry water and supplies? Get hurt a lot?"

The concept of kindness or even simple gestures of it was still mystifying to her. She had a prime example, but the scope of it's prevalence on this planet was awe inspiring. Why did everyone care so much about each other, when they could not possibly know each other? In this city alone there were way more people than she had ever thought possible for an entire planet, if they were all like hers.

Though they clearly were not.

"Uhm." What was it Sinistra had told her to say when someone was nice to her? "Thank you."

Aliez immediately stopped in his tracks when the woman approached him. And he seemed to withdraw on himself a little, as though gently shifting out of her reach any time it seemed like she was getting too close, although he didn’t actually move his feet to do it. It probably looked a bit silly, since it meant he had to wiggle a bit as she scrutinized him.

His cheeks darkened a bit when she asked if he got hurt a lot, and he opened his mouth to protest, but closed it because it was a legitimate question, and eventually shook his head.

“I try not to get hurt, no. I’m a healer-- ah… medic,” he corrected himself, because healers on Earth, he learned, weren’t always looked at the same as those with medical knowledge.

He reached down to the bag he had with him at his side and opened it so he could pull out a bottle of water. He pulled out a wrapped bar of chocolate as well, and handed both to her.

“You’re welcome,” he responded with a nod, although took a moment to look at the chocolate bar. “These are liked among my people. But I understand that some have an allergy. I apologize if you are unable to partake,” he explained.

Now that they were so close, he noticed there was something… different about her. Definitely not like the other humans he’d come across.

“I don’t mean to be rude, but… are you a Senshi…?”

She seemed to have clothing similar to what other Senshi would wear. But he also came to learn that some humans just liked to dress up.

"Medic..." Wezen looked puzzled for a moment. Someone that healed and helped others when they got injured. It was a strange enough idea. On her planet, the tools there were left where they fell, should they be damaged or broken. The planet reclaimed them in due time, and their stations were replaced inevitably. It was rare to even notice the difference.

She looked at the water and chocolate in wonder, at least drawing out of his personal bubble for a moment to regard them with the same kind of intense interest she had with him directly. She turned the candy bar over, having seen water before and drinking things from bottles with Sinistra at her home.

But she had not been given candy before.

"Allergy?" She pondered the word for a moment before tactfully unwrapping the bar, looking rather proud of herself for remembering that things on this planet often had unnecessary shells on them. She had learned a lot, in her short time here, or so she told herself. The question drew her attention back to the stranger, though, and she nodded her head.

"Yes, of the Planet Wezen. Senshi of Haunting. It was... rude of me... not to say before. Hello," Sinistra always warned her not to be rude, but there were so many rules, and she always seemed to be adding more on, it was impossible to keep up sometimes. She tilted her head at him, pointing with the chocolate, "you are not. But not like the humans, either."

She bit into the chocolate, revealing sharp fangs, and was immediately overwhelmed by the taste she was greeted with, a resonating sound of delight escaping from somewhere deep inside her.

“It was not rude,” Aliez politely insisted with a shake of his head when she introduced herself, but his shoulders eased as though a physical weight was lifted from them. So she was a Senshi. That was good. Maybe she would be able to help somehow.

But he was momentarily startled by her expression of delight by the chocolate. At least for a moment until he settled again and offered her a small smile at her observations.

“Have you not had chocolate before? It was new to me within the past couple years -- you are correct that I am not human,” he cautiously admitted, knowing how many Senshi and Knights reacted to his kind. Not that he could blame them after everything, although he wished things were different.

“I am Aliez, of Velencya,” he introduced, still cautious as he spoke. The fact that she did not seem immediately alarmed by his presence maybe meant she hadn’t been around during the hilltop battle. Maybe she would be more willing to help, then.

“Our world is in grave danger. And our original world is in ruin. We have been trying to understand how other worlds, such as Earth, have survived. Have you heard of any ways of reviving worlds?”

Wezen shook her head in confusion and delight, looking down at the candy in her hands and turning it over to examine the packaging and the chocolate itself.

"No chocolate... never really ate anything," Wezen had been kept operational by the same means as the rest of her planet, through a pod and tubes that she was essentially plugged into when she needed to recharge. There was no food, created or wild, and no need to eat. The idea of treats, even outside the realm of understanding food was a necessity for life here, was an exciting new turn of events.

She felt a wave of relief, being near another alien. Humans were a never ending source of interest to her, but it was a bit exhausting to feel so out of place. Just knowing there were more, like her, who were not born here, was a small comfort in its way. Though he was clearly far more familiar with this planet and its working than she could hope to be, he still had his own world in his thoughts.

Wezen wrinkled her nose, a strange feeling creeping under her skin and she thought about her own 'home'.

"Reviving worlds? This world, this... life. Is new to me. My planet has none. It is a place of death. Of nothingness." She supposed she could say it had gotten worse, but in its way it had only gotten to be very different. Everyone disappeared, and things stopped working. The planet had died, but she could not imagine wanting to revive it just yet.

"Some worlds should stay dead. But I hope you can help yours. I can ask my human Senshi..." .

Aliez frowned with concern when Wezen said she’d never really eaten anything. There were foods that Aliez avoided for his own personal beliefs and how he was raised, such as all meats, but even without her going into details, the expression of confusion and delight was enough.

Quietly, Aliez pulled out a few more things from his subspace. A granola bar, some fruity gummy candy, and some raisins in a box. Along with another wrapped bar of chocolate.

“Here,” he offered, holding them out to her. “I hope you get to experience more things soon, but I find these enjoyable. I am saddened to hear that your world is so different from mine. You should not have to experience heartache or live in a place of death and nothingness. Earth has its flaws… a lot of flaws… but if you do not look too closely, you may enjoy it like many of my kind,” he said, hoping to at least bring her some reassurance that she had a chance here. As much as he found Earth unsatisfying, it did have many new experiences to learn from.

“Our world… our original world… the Senshi never awakened. Their starseed remains dormant, and so the world has fallen to ruin. However, our new world was built and powered by the energy we collect. Willing. We are not like the Negaverse that takes without permission,” he quickly explained, because apparently people on Earth had a problem with sharing energy.

“You would do well to avoid them if possible, if you did not know this already. They wear dark clothing and command monsters that seek energy and starseeds.”

Wezen looked overwhelmed for a moment, which in itself was a fantastic feat caused by some kind of magic these food items clearly had. She was not the most emotional, and thus not the most emotive, being in the galaxy and she still needed a lot of practice to match what she was feeling to the expressions on her face. Yet in this moment, it seemed very easy, as there was no doubt that she was happy.

Happiness was very strange, but she could not say she disliked it. It was different to everything she had ever felt, for decades upon decades, though she had never noticed before. She had no capacity to. Now, she was experiencing levels of freedom that she could barely process. Eating tasty foods, for how small it seemed to most humans and others staying on this planet, was a part of that new freedom.

"Th-thank you," she said, with more of a wobble in her voice this time. She was not just repeating what Sinistra told her, at least. She listened to him, looking up at her curiously as she hugged her new treats to her. She nodded her head. She hated Chaos, and if she had sensed any in him, she likely would have already launched her attack, but willingly taking energy did not seem like much of a problem to her.

"Hate Chaos. That is my enemy." She paused for a long moment, before changing the subject abruptly. She shifted her food to one arm and held her free hand out to him. "You may take some energy. You have been very kind, as I understand it. I would like to help you, and your planet."

There was a moment that Aliez hesitated. He hadn’t meant his comment as a request, but was grateful for her offer all the same.

Slowly, so as not to startle her, he held out his arm to show her the stone on his wrist.

“You can decide how much you would like to give,” he offered. “Place your hand on the stone, and then remove it when you feel like you have given enough. I assure you, it will replenish overnight. I often drain my own energy in order to sleep more soundly,” he admitted.

“Thank you, Wezen, Senshi of Haunting. I appreciate your generosity. It has not been easy identifying those who would be willing to help us. There has been a lot of misunderstanding between everyone, but I hope one day we will all overcome that, and resolve each other’s hardships, whatever they may be.”

Wezen looked at the stone and put her hand on it almost as soon as he had finished his directions to. She looked at him placidly, without a trace of worry or uncertainty. Of course, that was due in large part to her inability to emote in the same way as many other beings across the universe, but she also had no reason to fear when he had already assured her it was safe.

Plus, this was her choice. She had no doubts about that. Nothing if not decisive, once she made her mind up about something, she was dedicated. She let him take more than she probably should have, though it took her longer to notice that she was feeling worn. She was used to working through exhaustion: on her planet, for decades, that was her sole purpose. She worked until her body shut down, and when it turned on again, she resumed her toil.

Pulling her hand back, she looked no different than she had when she had all her energy, eyes only slightly duller. If that were possible. Still, she bowed her head,.

"I will help you again. Any time." But for now, Sinistra was probably losing her mind with worry. That was something she would have to get used to, as well: having someone that cared enough about her to actually worry for her well being. She would come searching, soon enough. "Fare well."

Abruptly, she moved to walk off, though she wobbled and surprised herself. She quickly accounted for it, though, and moved off with more confidence.
