At least it was past the bitterest cold part of the year. It still wasn't nearly as warm as Daphne thought it should be, but she was able to go outside a little more without it being miserable, which was good because after the way everything was coming down, she needed to clear her head.
Why? Why had that Captain gotten into her head? Why had that illusion on Alastor had her willing to throw away everything she'd found on Earth, every moral she thought she had, just for the possibility of spending a few more minutes with her father?
Why did it seem like the only way she was going to get away from being miserable, from being haunted by the past, was going to be to give into Chaos and turn on everything she believed in, everything she'd built in the past months?
As she tended to do when she got upset, she ran.
She ran through the city, through the prettier parts with more plants in them, in an attempt to stop herself from thinking, just for a while.
That was when she spotted someone green. A green senshi. As always, her heart pounded when she saw someone who might be like her.
"Hi?" she said, with a wave. "Can I ask where you're from?"
Her tail whipped behind her, making it clear that she wasn't human, either.

Terebellum had decided she hated winter on Earth. The cold snow, the wind that chilled her to the bone, the people who couldn't maneuver their giant metal contraptions (cars, she reminded herself) on the roads slick with liquid. She despised it. At least her 'remote job' allowed her to not have to leave the tiny studio apartment she'd found during the winter. Not that the winter didn't try to... get into her apartment regardless though...
She'd only really gone out while powered up, since her fuku and fur kept her warmer than the jackets she had, but it had really been sort of a quiet winter for her. After dealing with Alastor and the very unfortunate visions she had, Tere decided her world could survive without her fight against Chaos until it thawed enough her horns didn't ache.
Today was one of those days were it wasn't so cold her horns tried to fall off, so she'd been out and patrolling for a few hours now. A voice caught her attention - she usually ignored other 'order' signatures - and she turned her head to see a young lady who looked almost human. The thing that gave her away was the tail flicking behind her. Seeing the tail, Tere let her own uncurl from her thigh and flick out from under her skirts.
"M-me? Terebellum. I'm ah, Terebellum, of Terebellum. Please just call me Tere though," she said, gently pulling her hood off of her white hair and gray horns. Oh she was very much not 'human'. "I take it by the tail you're also not... from here?"
She couldn't be sure, but the other senshi looked a little... unsettled. It was hard to know without feeling her Resonance, 'course, but maybe.

She had horns on top of her soft green skin and yellow eyes. She had a tail, just like Daphne did. Just seeing that made Daphne's heart flutter even faster and lighter underneath her ribcage. To confirm Daphne's assumptions, she was saying that she was from Terebellum. That wasn't what someone born on Earth would say. Daphne had met a few others like her before, but there was still always a wave of emotion that hit her when she found another, a wave of something like familiarity. She managed half of a smile, even with all of the other thoughts and emotions that were threatening to drown her after all of her recent experiences. "I'm Daphne," she said, and while she hadn't been hiding her tail before, she waved it back and forth on purpose now so that it was even more obvious. "From Daphne." A moment passed, and she couldn't hide the bitterness that crept back into her voice. "Not that Daphne exists anymore."

Tere gave a small, if also bitter, smile. "That is, as the humans say, a 'mood'," she said with a little chuckle. Her tail flicked back and forth gently and she rubbed one of the fur tuffs on her elbows. Obviously, their worlds still existed. Terebellum's spires still pointed towards the stars if they hadn't been destroyed, the Tenebros tunnels still spiraled through the earth. The air was oddly stale, but breath able. There were probably still places of running water and forests outside the capital. She assumed there was something similiar on Daphne.
She remembered seeing the vision of her other half on Alastor, and the agony that had shot through her had having to kill her. Again.
The worlds existed. The people that made the worlds, did not.
"... Same with Terebellum. Though..." she glanced up at the sky for a moment. "Most of my people were already... gone by the time Chaos tried to finish the job."

Daphne nodded sadly at the other girl, sorry to hear that her world was gone, too. She was half expecting it, having talked to enough other people like her at this point, but she'd still been sort of wishing that at least someone still had people around. "I didn't," she breathed, " Know, until recently. War broke out, and then my world put me to sleep to save me, and then I was here. People told me it had been a thousand years right away, but-" Of course she'd ignored them. How could she have done anything else? "Eventually I went back," she said, 'cause she didn't think she needed to drag this out, "And everything was dead, and," the tears pricked a her eyes. Daphne had been looking at memes, too, and as the humans would put it, she was staring into the void and the void was staring back. "I don't know what to do." She breathed, wiped at her eyes. "One of us," she waved at their tails. Not that Alastor had a tail, but Tere would get the idea, "Thinks I should try to mourn, like that will help? One of the agents says I should corrupt and forget everything, and," her cheeks went hot. "It's stupid, right? But that seems like the easier option."

Tere smiled sadly at her. "My world encased me in crystal and I was like that for a thousand years..." she said softly, coming over to gently squeeze Daphne's shoulder. Tere hadn't really been... back to her world since Earth called her here, but she'd known its state before she went into stasis. Had seen the spires slowly turn dark purple. The people die. She could remember the way the air was stale when she'd finally awoken again.
Yet, there was... hope. She'd seen it. Even if in doing so, she'd been confronted by pain she'd rather have left in Tenebris. She'd helped fight back the Chaos on Alastor, and it had been purged. It didn't seem to bring the citizens back, but maybe... maybe their souls had found their way to the Cauldron, and they could be reborn again.
"It's... probably easier, yes. I believe there is hope yet, for our worlds. I assisted Alastor with purging the Chaos from his world. We purged it. It didn't bring the citizens back, but perhaps... they have already been returned to the Cauldron, and we can find them again. Perhaps some of them are even here, on Earth. There are so many senshi and knights here, perhaps some of ours ended up here," she said, giving a smile and another squeeze of her shoulder. It wasn't much, and it certainly wasn't the easy route, but it could be done. It could happen.
"If retaking your world from Chaos is something you want to do, know that I will assist in any way I can."

Daphne let Terebellum squeeze her shoulder. Not wanting her to pull away, she reached out for her hand. She'd been in crystal for a thousand years? The sorrow was still in her eyes as she looked over at the other senshi, but there was something else in her eyes as she said, "Same." Yes, she'd picked that one up from the Internet, too. A moment passed. "Not crystal. For me it was a tree, but, close enough." Had it saved her life, or had it trapped her away from going with the others to the Cauldron? She didn't know anymore. She didn't know a lot of things anymore, least of all what to do, or how to hope. At least it was so much easier to talk about this with others who had gone through the same things than it was to talk about it with the others, who would talk about how she could rebuild and start a new life like that was anything close to what she wanted. "You think people would be reborn here?" she asked, and then considered this. If she could see some of the others again, even if they wore a different face- She stopped herself from thinking too much about that. She didn't want to raise her hopes again. "What would that look like?" she asked, all the same. "How would you know?"

To be quite honest, Tere had no idea.
"I... don't know. I haven't quite figured that one out yet," she said a little sheepishly. But, it had to happen, right? If so many were being reborn on Earth, then there had to be a chance that they were at least... there.
Probably didn't remember them, of course, or knew anything of their past life... hopefully. Terebellum really didn't wanna get punched because one of her old allies were reborn and remembered the fall...
"Perhaps we work on dealing with the Chaos first and then... worry about that. Again, let me know when you try; I will be there to assist." She liked Daphne, even without being able to hear her Resonant, she seemed like a good person at heart. She stayed with her a while longer before going their separate ways.
