 Puleleiite never imagined the feeling of warm sand between her toes would grow old. She loved the feeling of it as she slid across the wet beaches, her footsteps a temporary mark of her progress before they too were washed away by the incoming waves. The beaches of Matori were something special, though she also loved the stories her fathers told of their homelands. Maybe someday she'd explore out there on her own and find her heritage. For now, she was wandering about the water-soaked sand as she looked around for her family. Between their lessons, it was easy to rush off to the beach to let off some steam, and today she was eager to test her building skills with the sands. She had seen other younglings build towering castles and she wanted to try her hand at it. With a bucket and some shells, she was ready to get started.

Kala 1 He was out Playing with his neices and siblings in and around the sand. He for some reason found sand castles a bit dull, prefering to comb the shoreline for goodies coughed up by the tides, he especially liked fancy shells and feathers plus rocks with holes in them. There was always something new with the tide. Little gifts left for the curious and imaginative. The ocean was a wondrous place. He would swim too to find the right shell if it was out of reach.

It was such a beautiful day! She moaned happily as the sun poured over her skin, she sat on a beach blankie with a good book and watched Lele her Aunty make the most beautiful sandcastle. Her gave occassionally checked on her odd eyed cousin who was flirting with the waves at the edge of the beach as he usually did around this time or whenever he had downtime. Always on the hunt for new shinies. She wanted to fall into the story that her mother had found for her. A seafaring adventuress! What could be better than today!

Ha'ulili was out on the beach, with her siblings and her nieces and it was a beautiful day out and what better way to spend it but out on the sandy beaches with her toes squishing in the sand and leaving footprints. They were all being raised around the beaches of Matori, so she was happy and content with spending time with her family. She giggled as the ocean waves brushed against her toes and walked towards her sister careful not to spill her bucket of water-soaked sand. "Puleleiite! I have some more sand" she said. Ha'ulil 1

Aua'lii happily squished her toes in the warm beach sand, it was nice out and she figured they could give their parents a break from watching them. It was a great day to spend time with her family. She giggled and looked at her sister who was reading a book "Vaia! the beach is for fun in the sun! why read a book?" she said before sneaking up behind her sister and playfully yoinking her book from her grasp to investigate what she was reading. She looked up briefly to watch her aunts build a sand castle and her uncle play with the ocean teasingly. She looked back at her sister and twirled in the sand, holding her sister's book close so she didn't drop it while she twirled around. Aua'lii 1

[ Puleleiite 2 ] The group was spread across the area, and Puleleiite was content to play and get out her energy. Though she was grateful that Ha'ulili came over, giggling as the bucket was added to the mix. "I think this might be our biggest castle yet!" She cheered, "Maybe we can build a tide pool like the one at home?" She added with consideration, "And lots of shells..." And she knew the right person to grab them, her keen eyes looking out for the bright hair of her brother, Kalakaua.

He looked over at the huge sandcastle and was proud of his sister and cousin for the size of it. It looked really good. He just wasnt really construction minded, prefering to sift the shallows for treasure, a pirate's bounty, oh what it would be to sail the seas and find treasures! To battle pirates and fish for supper. A sailors life must be so much fun.
He looked out over the waves, imagining what could be.

The wind fluttered the pages of her book and the giggles of her family floated on the breeze. Could today get any better? The sun felt great on her skin and she had a small parasol set up for shade when she needed it. Sometimes it was just so good to relax and enjoy one's self. Soon she would go join her family in their castle building adventure but after this last chapter!

Ha’ulili nodded her head agreeing with her sister “that it is” she said “I think that is a good idea, we can do that after we gather up some seashells to decorate it” she answered before also looking around for their brother, once she found him she yelled out “hey! kalakua, come here for a second.”

Aua’lii looked over at her sister frowning a bit “Vaia are you almost done reading, come play in the sand with me” she whined a bit, huffing slightly as well she didn’t understand why her sister loved books so much, she personally was more of the playful type and wanted to enjoy her childhood. [ Puleleiite 3 ] Standing tall and looking out at her distracted brother, Puleleiite let out a dramatic sigh. Of course his head would be in the clouds (or the waves) and not on the task at hand. Sometimes it was so difficult herding these siblings all together to do one task. And with their younger cousins being a little more distractable, sometimes Puleleiite just accepted the task was a bit beyond her young capabilities. But when they did come together, to play games or share stories, it was the best things she could ever hope for. Which was why she always pushed for it - because it was just plain fun. Waving her hand up and down to rush him along, she added, " Hurry hurry, we don't have all day!"

He was being summoned most enthusiastically by the others, curiously he brought his pile of shells least the sea pay a joke on him and steal them back. Also Zanteer were notorious for stealing shells and shiny things to play with later. Couldn't blame them as they ate shellfish but well these were empty so they shouldnt steal them in his opinion but he had learned that zanteer did not care if they had food or not, shells were fun.
"What is it? A wild critter?" He asked, curious. "Something wrong?"

Semi reluctantly she finished the chapter, but the sun was calling her with a siren's song and they had gotten everyone else involved so she folded the corner of her page, laid her book lovingly by her beach towel and then rushed over to help with whatever was going on in the castle building department.
"I have arrived." She hugged her sister who had waited patiently for her, she was so grateful for her sis.

Ha’ulili glad that her brother finally decided to come over “we need to decorate our sand castle and we need tons of seashells, and we figured you would be the best one to ask, given you’re good at looking for things like that.” She told him keeping an eye on their sand castle making sure it stayed together.

Aua’lii finally sighed in relief when her sister joined her in the sand, she looked over at where her aunts were building a sand castle, it looked pretty majestic from where she was standing and it looked impressive “that looks so cool” she said I’m awe.
