He placed the bundles of herbs down at the back door to the potion shop, all of the concoctions were made on site and they required the freshest of very rare plants of which he was knowledgable and skilled in. They even let him help mix somedays when he wasn't too busy but finding the herbs was more fun that processing them and more in line with his life purpose.
He had asked Zyura if she wanted to check the place out with him, she should be arriving soon.

She was a bit late but she had had to study for a test later and the morning had been the only time she could do it. Puffing in a most unlady like fashion but having sustained her quick jog for quite some time she leaned on the door frame to the potions shop before she slunk in, seeing Syaa's tall form she snuck up behind him and leapt onto his back. He was like the brother she had not had. The cool brother with the plants.

He looked up at the bell jangle and smiled as Zyura came in. "Welcome! It is a pretty neat place with stationary, potted plants as well as the potions. There is a lot to look at so let us get started." He held out an arm to guide her to the beginning of their grand tour.
He walked and explained. It was convoluted with a weird backalley shape but large enough to hold what it needed to.

She smiled and asked him how he had been, trying to absorb as much of the information he tossed at her as she could.
She for her part peered around curiously, she was learning the real magics that came from the spellcaster, potions were both interesting and different and she wondered at how they all were made. It was so curious.
She paused to examine a bottle here and there or a plant more closely, making mental notes on what she would want to come back and look at again.

He waited patiently and did some proper browsing of his own, he came in often but he didn't always have time to look around properly. It was sort of nice to take his time.
"So how are things going? I have a girlfriend..I think, we have gotten close once or twice and I don't really notice other girls anymore but its not super official though she has brought me home to see her family which is considerable in size. "

"I may have a lead along those lines too, we went on a bit of a blind date which actually turned out really fun, you know the program that you signed me up for a few years ago? Well I finally get up the courage to ask him for a tattoo and the place is actually on fire when I arrive, it was a very hard day and I couldn't do much but carry buckets of water, so now I practice my magic more." She never wanted to feel that helpless again.

"It would be the day you went there that his place burned huh? You always have had the best luck." He chuckled, "Glad everyone was okay," he was sure she would have told him otherwise.
"Still what rotten luck, some people went after Kina and I pulled her out of the water, I think after that she may have started taking me seriously. Not that I was pursuing her it just sort of happened and she is beautiful and purely unique. A hard coating hiding a soft and caring inside that she doens't like to be reminded about."

Zyura added a smokebomb potion to her basket, cuz you never knew when you might need one and she wasn't all that strong physically yet. Not like Syaa who could move a full barrel of water if he really wanted to. She was built far finer than he.
"Did you find any potions yet? Nothing to help you find your rare plants huh? She sounds lovely by the way, hopefully I can meet her one day."

"Mmm not yet, I'm kinda picky and I haven't found anything pertinant to my situation, however, I do like this hanging basket, what do you think? Are the tiny rounded turtle shell leaves not cute?"
He took a woven basket off of a tall hook for her to inspect with him. She definitely knew about his plant obsession, anyone close to him did.

"Well its not a potion but if it makes you happy, I guess its like a living potion, might last longer than most of the potoins in her especially with you taking care of it." She nodded. "Yes I like it, maybe you could give me a cutting later and I may take my chances." She was pretty sure she had a black thumb but she would have to try eventually.
She checked through the rest of the store and also bought a pen and a journal along with her smoke potion.

He smiled along with her understanding, they both had their nerdy passtimes and accepted the other's obsession, it was what good friends were for.
"I could definitely do that."
He paid for her little potion as a friendly gift, he had raked in a killing in coin lately and she was still learning so she probably needed it.
"May your luck turn." He grinned.

She tilted her head, "Thanks buddy." She had been alone for so long that it was still shocking to have something given to her but she was grateful, even more so.
"I appreciate your kind gesture."
She would pay him back in kind one day in service or in deed.
She thanked the proprietor and complimented their selection and decor before the two left out into a fresh downpour.
"Coffee?" She asked.

He nodded gratefully, she had pretty much read his mind. He liked warm beverages on rainy days these were some of his favorite days because it made himself and all of the plants happy.
Zyura looked mildly like a wet white badger. It was adorable. He was amused.
He was sure Kina would just attack her hair, it was always so unruly.

She bought him a coffee and they spent the rest of the morning chatting and catching up on all of the other gossip that had gone on in the nearly year they had been apart and seeing to things in their lives, she was pretty much at the end of her studies and would be taking her final magic test soon and begin her journey as a full fledged magic user if still a beginner in the great craft. She was so very excited...and she still needed that tattoo~
