Silfi 1
Silfurvængur trudged through the snow with her bow held high above her head. This was supposedly the last push of winter, or so the elders said, so she was doing her best not to feel too put out by the fresh layers. With her father here unseasonably early she was almost afraid he would leave again, but after much reassurance the little hybrid felt more at ease.
And, to brighten spirits all around, they were going to have a little fun together! Well, as together as they could be with Yngvara gone and Ziya working. Maybe her big brother would come by later and she could show him how awesome she was or...Well, if she sucked then he wouldn't be around to see it, would he?
"Papa, papa, look! I can even run backwa-!" And almost as soon as the little one attempted to do so she fell onto her back in the snow.

Sylvirah 1
While Sylvirah hadn't intended on sending for Zyphire so early in the year she hadn't wanted to risk another 'surprise'. After the discovery of her pregnancy with Silfi while he was away and the shock of presenting him with his fourth upon his arrival back home - she really could strangle the courier who was supposed to find him - Sylvirah wanted things to go much smoother. So, when she was positive she was expecting again she'd sent for him, but when he came back...the situation had changed. It wasn't as if the child had never existed; just that the spirits didn't want them to have it.
It was an odd feeling that she never expected to feel. After four successful pregnancies Sylvirah had lowered her guard, but now she knew better. Nothing in life was guaranteed and as sobering as it was to go through she was glad to have her husband by her side through it.
And really, seeing the way her girls lit up having him back was enough to wipe the shadows from her eyes. She may not have been as quick to catch up with Silfi, but Sylvirah was well within sight to catch the little ones folly. "Honestly, Silfi, if that had been a blade you could have cut yourself."

Zyphire 1
If there was something that Zyphire was good at doing, it was trying to cover up pain with some fun. So he was excited to have the youngest of his children and Sylvirah around for an outing today. While normally he spent time away from home, there had been an urgency with his return this year as the Shifter fought against the lingering snows to come back before spring had even started settling in the valley where the Ild'vann lived. Today he was determined to spend the whole day with Sylvirah and their daughters, the Shifter wanting to play a game to test the girls' hunting skills and to simply play around a bit.
"Oh Silfi." His laughter was genuine, a rare thing for Zyphire since learning the more unfortunate news from a couple of weeks back, but Zyphire found himself helping to pull Silfi from the snow. "Running backwards is great and all, but you should always push yourself to move forward. It's the best way to go." While Sylvirah chastised their daughter, Zyphire was busy brushing the snow from her clothing even as he glanced towards Sylvirah with a small grin. "Good thing we haven't given her a blade then, right?"

Revna 1
Revna had noticed subtle changes within the household, the girl always preferring to watch before causing mischief, but even she was surprisingly well behaved today now that her father was with them earlier than usual. Admittedly she had been a little more attentive to chores and did her best to cause less harm over the last couple of weeks before Zyphire came home and the girl secretly lingered around him, her only pout whenever Silfi did something like just now to get the Shifter's attention. Seriously? Running backwards!? She huffed with a soft sigh under her breath, Revna simply walking past Silfi as Zyphire helped her back onto her feet.
"I always go forward." She quipped as she clutched at her bow, the girl jutting out a hip proudly where she had a dagger sheathed there, and Revna sashayed her way past even her mother towards the little clearing where they had trained before. "Are there dummies set up today?" She found herself calling over her shoulder as she refused to let Silfi getting babied ruin her outing with family today. "A shooting contest then?" Revna was excited as she noticed a few throughout the clearing, some hidden others more visible and easier to hit. Did this mean they were going to have some sort of competition? Her golden eyes gleamed with excitement as she turned around to face her parents, the girl eager to show off her skills even if she had wished for any other opponent than baby Silfi.

Sylvirah 2
She exhaled and shook her head with a little smile. "I dread the day." At some point her youngest would need to understand the concepts of restraint and balance. Revna she had no worries with, but Silfi...
"A contest where you and I are together-" She walked up closer to Revna and put a hand atop her daughter's curls, "-and Papa and Silfi are paired up. Unless you'd rather be with Zyphire, of course-" Although, when she bent down, Sylvirah murmured, "I think we can take them, don't you? I'm going to give them a trick shot first, though."
Raising up, Sylvirah slipped the bow from her shoulder and aimed toward the closest dummy for a quick shot. It only touched the left limb, but maybe it would be enough to spurn a little competition.

Silfi 1
Revna always had to be so much cooler than she was. As her older sister sashayed past Silfi couldn't help sticking out her tongue, but once she caught Papa's attention Silfi was all smiles. Especially once she found out she could be on his team! Really she didn't mind being on either one of her parent's teams so long as she wasn't paired with Revna!
She reached for her bow and hustled over to the starting mark. "Is this how...No, no, it's like...this-" When she'd pulled the string back the arrow suddenly shot out with all the fury of an intended strike straight into the head of the target Sylvirah managed to nab. Silfi's eyes widened, her jaw slack, before she bust out into smiles. "I did it! I did it! He's dead."

Zyphire 2
A soft chuckle left Zyphire’s lips. “I see, they’re plotting without us.” He whispered to Silfi playfully as he watched Sylvirah’s trick shot that barely tickled the dummy. The Shifter had full confidence in Sylvirah’s ability to aim, something she had proven so many times over the years, and so he was not surprised if she was simply messing with them to get things started with that fake shot. “I’ll give that a free pass.” He called out teasingly. “Next miss though I’ll have to start gettin’ worried.”
“You got this Silfi.” Zyphire encouraged his youngest before she surprised all of them and even he found himself taking a step back in surprise before flashing the girl a bright smile. “He’s most definitely down for the count. Good job!” The Shifter turned towards Revna and Sylvirah. “Time to kick it up a notch. We’ll not go down without a good fight! No more teasing us with weak shots, okay?” That said he twisted around and shot an arrow towards the dummy to the far right, the arrow sticking into the left shoulder as a decent shot even if it wasn’t a direct hit like what Silfi had managed to achieve.

[Revna 2]
“We can definitely take them. I’m not even worried so they can have each other.” She replied to her mother before watching the trick shot. She didn’t mind being paired with her mother, but at the same time there was a hint of jealousy whenever she saw her father hovering around the other girl. So much attention on such a little baby! Seriously? But then her mother missed the shot and Revna felt her whole insides twist up with mixed feelings. Revna figured that her mother was surely messing with them, but even so she didn’t like giving a free round to her sister! Revna pursed her lips and considered letting out a tricky remark before finding herself completely flabbergasted by Silfi’s direct hit.
WHAT?!
The very though echoed in her mind even as her father’s shot barely striked the dummy bringing down the other team. Still, the image of the bright smile towards Silfi and not towards her made Revna huff and a bit more reckless than usual as she tried a trick shot by twisting up and dashing a few feet away to try to hit one of the more hidden dummies. Her string was tight, her gaze narrowed and then whoosh! the finger slipped a second too early and her victim quickly became the tree instead of the dummy as she missed. Swallowing, Revna took a moment, her cheeks burning something fierce as she refused to look at anyone else before walking back towards her mother. “Hope that gives them enough of a chance.” She muttered before waiting for the next shot, her fingers tight as she clenched at her bow with both hands. How…how did she mess up so badly like that while Silfi? Surely it was just a fluke and next round would be much better!

Sylvirah 3
"So you're saying I should start imagining it's you?" She called back with a bright smile. Watching Silfi prepare for her shot was...visibly painful for the huntress, but since they were on 'teams' she couldn't very well offer her advice, especially with an adult on her side. You can do this, little one, just...try to...no, lift it...don't drop-
She did it?!
Oh that was...that was so... When she looked back to Zyphire she held her hands up in a 'alright, alright' motion. If the weakest of their archers was coming out swinging then she would too! And surely since Silfi had pulled off such a hearty strike Revna would-
-try her best to be a braggart. The girl was skilled, exceptionally so, but so easy to rile up where Silfi was concerned. When she came back toward Sylvirah, the iceling bent down to place a hand on Revna's shoulder, and murmured, "Fokuser, lille, dette er ingenting for deg," before taking her own shot. It wasn't nearly as powerful as she would have liked, but it was clean, never the less

Silfi 3
With her blood thrumming from her amazing shot Silfi was nearly floating. That feeling was only magnified when Revna's shot absolutely sucked, but it was mitigated when Papa's own wasn't that great. Well, it was still better than anything Mama came up with so they were still winning! Right? Wasn't she supposed to keep up with that kind of stuff?
But...but Revna was still trying some really cool trick moves and if she could do that and fire super awesome then she'd be the ultra winner....
So, that's what Silfi tried! She ran out around the first dummy, then around the second, then the third...until she was nearly too far away to fire. In fact, if she hadn't noticed the dummys were gone then Silfi might not have doubled back at all and by the time she did fire it sank into the snow.

Zyphire 3 “I mean you had to catch me somehow.” Teased Zyphire back with a wink towards Sylvirah. It wasn’t the first time that he had openly flirted with the iceling around his family and surely would not be the last, especially not when he was trying to make up for lost time and other things. It was nice to see the family smiling like this, minus Revna who caught his attention as she paced off towards the side and tried to play off her disappointment like it had been intentional. He was too afraid that saying anything to try and cheer the proud girl up would only result in more frustrations and so Zyphire simply turned his attention back towards Silfi. Thankfully whenever he took another peek it looked like Sylvirah was speaking with Revna and he could only hope that would get her attention back on the game and not on her younger sister.
But now the issue was that Silfi had her attention on Revna. If one wasn’t bothered by the other one then the other one was upset. Sisters… All Zyphire could do was approach Silfi and lead her back towards the others. “No worries, Silfi. You had to recover after that first amazing shot. Next time, okay?” He nudged the youngling as he whispered quietly to her, his gaze warm and encouraging before he picked his own bow back up and prepared for a shot.
“Alright, now we’re talking.” Zyphire quipped towards Sylvirah before twisting towards one of the more hidden dummies. A string may have been pulled too taunt, a little bit of a mistake on his part even though he boldly tried to play it off as the arrow zipped through the trees and connected with nothing save for startling some poor creature in a bush across the clearing. “Enough warm up shots. We should probably start actually shooting now.” He managed with a slight shrug before gesturing for Revna to go next.

Revna 3
Seeing Silfi make a complete full of herself made Revna gain some of her resolve back. What truly mattered though was what her mother said and how the words that echoed in her mind. This truly was nothing to her! She had always been envious of her older siblings and their skills and so Revna had worked hard, partly to not be bothered by anyone since she proved that she could handle herself and her own training and mostly because she did have a fair bit of pride. She truly despised losing, especially when she came from such a talented family. “Jeg vil vise deg.” Revna straightened her shoulders and only shook her head towards her father. “Alright then. We’ll shoot now!” She boldly called out before raising her bow and firing towards one of the dummies in the back, the arrow whining as it flew across the clearing and shot the dummy right in the heart.
Revna wanted to scream out and throw her hands up in celebration but she kept her cool exterior and simply nodded at her mother instead. “And done.” She smirked before lowering her bow and watching for the next shot, her hands still holding on tightly to the polished wood even though her fingers weren’t quite as clenched as before when she had been so frustrated over Silfi’s amazing shot and her own failure.

Sylvirah 4
"If you can actually manage a decent shot I might ask Ergon to watch the children for a few nights." Sylvirah looked off to the side innocently enough, "Just a thought." Maybe that would be motivation enough for him to take things seriously? Though should they be, really? It was just an excuse to get out after the trials the family had been through lately and Sylvirah was just happy for the time away.
Still, just having some alone time with her husband, even if she didn't feel up to anything carnal, would be nice after playing mediator for the girls all day.
As Revna lined up her shot Sylvirah moved to stand behind her, her eyes drifting down the length of her daughter's arrow toward the target. With the smaller hybrid nailing their prey in the heart Sylvirah took out it's head in perfect unison.
"Jeg visste at du kunne gjøre det". She smiled, "Now you, Silfi, focus." She couldn't help it; watching the free spirited child wander about was going to give her grey hairs.

Silfi 4
Herding the little one back onto task was akin to keeping a wild roati pinned. Her eyes kept going to Papa, then Revna, to the dummies and then - Woah! Revvy was really good, but then so was Mama and Papa was...just..."Are we going to lose?" She groaned. "I really don't wanna lose; Revvy's going to get a big head if we do," she murmured. As if her sister wasn't insufferable enough.
With her Papa's encouragement and her Mama's stern looks Silfi took up a proper stance, found a target she could probably hit and tried her best to take things seriously. It wasn't her best attempt, but it was decent enough.

Zyphire 4
"Don't tempt me." Zyphire replied with a smirk, his mind already wandering to whatever a few nights alone could entail. Even if it was innocent the idea of just enjoying some quiet together was nice and definitely enticing. Maybe, just maybe Zyphire should behave for a few shots. He was proud of Revna though and gave her a pleased smile even as she turned her gaze away from him, Zyphire pursing his lips slightly before focusing on Silfi again.
"Hey, as long as we hold our own then it'll be fine." Zyphire promised Silfi with an encouraging nod. "Let me get one more warm up shot in and then we'll see..." While his shot wasn't perfect it was still solid as it smacked a dummy in the upper shoulder, the rogue giving a slight nod as he waited for Revna's shot next.
