It was shopping day the most boring for him day of the whole year. He dreaded shopping day, about the only thing that made it bearable was that Rista was coming with him. It had been a while since they had dared to leave the kids alone with neither them to look after their hyperactive brood. Parenting was hard work. He felt like he hadn't had a sound sleep in years. He of all people needed his beauty rest or he would come out looking like pickled swamp monster, and no amount of homegrown cucumber was going to sue the way the dark circles under his eyes. "Is there a cure for burning eyes?" He asked.

"There might be one at the potion shop. It's always fun to go there. You never know what you're going to find," her eyes had lit with an almost fiendish energy. She was entranced by the idea of magic contained within a bottle useful at a whim. It was the very height of luxury for things like chores battle skills were being best learned the old fashioned way. But chores were never ending and unchanging so she saw no issue with magic and things like laundry dishes and scrubbing away.

"Off we go to the potion shop then," anything to make her happy and he might find something useful there too. It did feel good to be out of the house for a bit Cabin fever was the worst and had been a long wet winter. He would be grateful for the solid warmth the spring and the return of his sense of smell. Winter smelled boring, less life, more muted. Cities seemed to have the opposite issue too much sent, sound, light and well they were overwhelming. He had gone to Belrea once and promptly hightailed it back home, though the food had certainly been interesting. Delicious, he would be able to recreate it later.

She understood her mate. Shopping wasn't his thing. It was hers and Tahnee's actually. Umen was a walk in the woods, not a shop in town and there was nothing wrong with that, especially when there was a occasionally willing to oblige her with his company on the occasional shopping trip. She absolutely adored that he was flexible. Not every man would have spoiled her the way he did either. She so enjoyed his company once in a while they had a dust up usually settled by a fair competition.

Even he was excited when he approached the potion shop with his love. Maybe there would be something fun, something they could enjoy together. He was so very happy that they were coming out to spend some time together. After the chaos that having young children always was It was nice to go and rediscover each other. So that they wouldn't forget how much love was involved between them. He loved them, though.

She smiled as she watched her beloved mate get more excited the closer they got to the shop. She opened the door and they were inside. She too was hopping from foot to foot in her excitement. Gosh, this was just the coolest little shop her heart was so full. "This is amazing." There were a ton of neat glass bottles lining the walls and fresh herbs hung from the ceiling. The scent that pervaded the building was comforting and clean accented with the scent of the wood and herbs. It was a version of aromatherapy.

He bumped his head on a low hanging bouquet of lavender, "Charming." It smelled good in this place. The lavender was very fresh and he closed his eyes and smiled. - Peace, dreams and comfort. - His mother used to use lavender under his pillow when he was smaller. When he just couldn't sleep and would buy a lavender plant or family would enjoy the aromatherapy. He was sure Rista would baby it like she did the rest of the garden. She loved to take care of green and growing things.

She smirked. She wasn't the only one excited about the store. She had him now. Excellent. She could get him to come more often. They perused the store having the most luxurious, fun time. It sort of felt like a mini vacation. She was so greatly enjoying all the nooks and crannies of the place that she was shocked when she got to the end of the store. Back tracking she looked again and again, bouncing between favorites, weighing and measuring the benefits and set backs. In other words full on shop mode.

Even he had to admit this was a good time, the air and mood of the shop was quite pleasant and abounded with a myriad of products and gift ware, house plants and little seashells on all the shelves. A fat perzi lounged on the poof in the corner. Its eyes fixed on them, it's crystals seem to glow, backlit by a few candles in the corner. It was a rather neat effect.
"Look Rista they have a kitty!" He liked perzi very much.

She hummed, intensely pleased that he was having fun on their outting, she returned with 4 bottles, a fertilizer, a plant growth potion, Neverrust and Only Lust.
She grinned at Umen, "The lust is for two, figured we would have some fun. Did you find anything?"
She looked at him expectantly, wondering what he would be interested in here.
"The perzi looks awfully comfy, what a good life to have, potion shop customer service kitty."

"Well I didn't find that much," he held out a potion that said it would prevent corrosion from salt water.
Then blushing slighly he held out a house plant in a hanging basket.
"And this, this is the first plant I have found that I actually want to bring home do you think there is room for it somewhere in the house? Perhaps on the higher beams in the kitchen?"
It was a lovely plant with variegated hearshaped palmate leaves and what looked like small menk like flowers in dark blues and purples. It was beautiful.

She beamed at him. "You found a plant! The potion is a good idea too." She had wondered if he had any green thumb in him at all or if all of his nature talent had gone into beast taming alone.
She bounced over to the proprietess and rang their purchases through, "I'll get yours as well love, no worries, I brought home a large purse from that last lucrative job."
Her purse was indeed fat and most of it was at home anyway. Besides she liked getting him gifts.

He smiled back, "I did indeed, but just look at it, it looks like it came straight out of the jauharan jungle and here it is sitting so tame and patient in its little hangy pot."
He felt like he would be a good plant parent for this plant, he would check it every day before he did chores and Rista would keep an eye on it too. He was sure that between the two of them it would do well.
His heart would break should it die.

"I'm sure it will love the kitchen and it needed some new decor anyway, it might as well be living, why don't you pick out another plant and we can make it a bit of a theme in the kitchen, maybe something with herbs?" Herbs would be good and they wouldn't have to go far at all for fresh ones if they were there already.
They both did like to cook and so did Ultear, she wondered what he would make of his Father's new plant.
"I can't wait to try our potions too!"
