He arrived in the small town with much enthusiasm, so this was it huh? Nice place, nice place, could use a noodle house but hey he was sure one would pop up somewhere.
He looked at the nearest fellow nearby that looked nativish to this place. "Oy where is the best place to get some food buddy?" Bro looked like he ate good which meant the food must be good. He hoped. He had a hoity toity palette some days.

He looked around at an interesting looking hybrid. "The steak joint is not bad, just down the road I can show ya, could use a bite even." Might be nice to have a chat with a stranger, maybe he would get some inspiration for his current novel. It was still in the pre planning places but he felt like the thoughts in the back of his head were perculating nicely.
His stomach rumbled. They had the best butter herb steaks, grilled right there by your own personal chef outside among a ton of tiki torches. It was a mood.

Steak sounded deliscious, he didn't even care that the other male had invited himself along. He took a deep breath. He had ran away from home for a while and it had been a hungry go of it. He was tired of the rules and felt like he was ready to strike out on his own. He was sure his sister would track him down eventually but until that time comes~.
"Alright fine." He nodded at the other to show them the place.

"Well alright." This was going well. His day wouldn't be boring now. So cool. Besides this guy looked like he has some sort of story to tell, but from the stubborn expression it might be hard.
They checked in to the restaurant and were led to a hand carved driftwood table in front of a personal fire with a personal steak chef. The meat was a varied selection of local species and all of the best cuts.
One could even opt for stew for longer parties where ordeurves were served first. But that was an experience on its own and just as expensive. He loved this restaurant. It was the most expensive place in town but it was worth it.

He didn't know what he had been expecting but it wasn't this amazing place that was for sure. It was so awesome and elegant and going to cost a butt load. Still he was so hungry he did not care.
He could feel his belly button brushing his backbone.
They examined the menu, inked on rainbow tree bark which was quite beautiful and creative.
"What a gem this place is, you have no idea, you are so lucky."

It was quite the experience, he treated his new companion for putting up with him. The family had sent his trust fun as he was starting to do okay here picking up odd jobs and wanted to start living for real.
"Don't worry I got the bill, you look like you have walked a ways." Boy looked tired but a blue fire still shone in his eyes. Morly liked his spirit.

He was so stuffed he could barely move. "You er didn't have to do that, but thank you, I greatly appreciate it."
The food had been excellent. "So Morleas, you have anything else of interest to show me? Anything magical?" He was curious as to what this place was like if this was the restuarant for the joint. By crikey.

"Most of our attractions are not magical but there is this cute little potion shop thats hidden in an alley. They have some pretty neat stuff, not that I have personally ever dabbled in it.
He wondered if there was anything that would auto edit writing to exactly how he would have written it. Now that would truly be a magnificent spell.
He was a simple man after all.

"A potion shop huh?" Well that sounded about right for what he would expect from such a mystical place as Matori. "Lets go see, I am interested in magic in general and I want to see what Matori has to offer."
He felt like a small lordling but from the look of Morleas he also came from a well off family. Though he was a tad travel worn it was a comfortable look not a ragged look like he himself wore.

A bell tinkled as they walked into the tiny hidden shop that was somehow still very neat and organized. It had a very herbal scent to it, like it was more natural type potions and helps than the typical purple type glowing fluids that were also around sometimes.
He found it fascinating and took out a notebook to jot down the ambience and tone and feel of the place for future writing inspiration. This was already great and he hadn't read a single bottle yet. He felt like a kid in a inspiration candy shop.

Well he wasn't shy, he decided to read all of the potions by doing a slow circuit of the room. Instant feline or sermal in a bottle. Bug b gone. Hair dye with extra magical shine. Hmm some were pretty cool and others were quite mundane.
He wanted action and excitment! Also blister cure would be a good thing. He brought a bottle of that to the till. Then wandered off again, occassionaly assessing his new aquaintances progress around the shop.

Eventually he had gathered enough written material to pursue some raw materials. He grabbed a vial of slow vanish ink, as well as some particularly green magicy round bottled that promised a small instant jungled should you add water and shake. This intruiged him greatly and he thought the bottles would make excellent decor too. He was sure all that really happened was that the tiny plants in the glass case got really big really fast.
He was pleased with his finds. "Did you find anything?" He asked Ama curiously.

He picked up some magical leather dye and proceeded to the counter with Morleas. "Yeah I found a few things, looks like you didn't do too bad." It was always good when everyone found a little something if they wanted a little something. There was never shame in not shopping when nothing really caught your interest. He hated those days.
Course he hadn't been able to do much shopping on the road he had had to conserve his few coins for travel and food. But he had done a few odd jobs since then and he was doing okay now.

"Excellent, they are usually half decent here for variety. A few sorta blah concoctions today though, sorry about that." They purchased their items and continued to chat into the night walking together and later testing out their purchases. It was the start of a good friendship and Morleas wrote a whole potion shop chapter in his book later.
Sometimes potions were magic without having to do much of anything.
