Villon had decided that today would be a patrol day. While he wasn't looking to do anything in particular [other than steal energy for his quota], that didn't mean he wasn't expecting to maybe run across trouble. Currently, he found himself chilling on the roof of a hotel, watching as civilians went about their mundane lives. He often wondered just how different his life would've been if he was never corrupted. He sure as hell couldn't imagine what his life would be like if he was on the other side, on that note, he was sure he was meant to be on the side of the negaverse. His power just didn't seem like it would be something a white moon alien would use.

Pharos had just come back from her wonder and she was on cloud nine. The fruit trees were doing so well and the courtyard looked better than ever. She and Hadrian had moved to organizing the storage room and Pharos was sad that so many things hadn’t passed the test of time. Still there were scarves, hats, jewelry, toys and many trinkets that were salvageable so she organized them neatly. She had to bring Neckar to help her build storage, but he was happy to help and Pharos was just so excited.

Now she stretched ready to head home for the night, before frowning, feeling chaos prickling at her senses.

Villon’s head picked up as soon as he felt it. A little light, probably a bit stronger than him. Interesting. He stayed put, waiting for the inevitable to happen. They would fight, he would hopefully be able to get a starseed out of it, and head home for the night.

Pharos headed toward the source of chaos wanting to make the other wasn’t causing any trouble. The source of the aura gave her reason for pause though when she saw him. She instantly reached her ring and sent a message to Neckar. He was patrolling though she wasn’t sure how far off he was. They had come downtown together.

“I hope you aren’t up to anything nefarious tonight.”

Villon stiffened and sighed.

Of course it would be this one.

“Even if I was, why would it matter to you little one?” He was still sitting cranking his head back to look at her from an odd angle. “You know, I could always work on finishing what I started last time we met. There's no big dumb lug to keep you protected after all.” He gave her a look of boredom, “Run away little light, I do not feel like playing with you tonight. I have things to do.” And her presence meant that big and luggy would not be too far behind. He wasn't sure if he should send a message to his cousin and potentially Taffy, he had to make sure he kept the kid gloves off with that one after all.

Deciding that it might be a good idea, he decided to send a message out to both of them just in case.

“Why would I run away and leave you to potentially harm someone else? Me and my friend can handle you,” she said, letting him know that Neckar was in the area hoping maybe he would decide to call it a night. She was doubting it highly, but summoned her weapon and got ready to defend herself.

She decided not to try to wait for him to spit, literally, magic at her. She couldn’t afford to be hit with his nightmares. It would leave her too unaware and it was hard to break away from. Not when she was alone, his magic was strong.

She moved, swinging her staff hard at him, aiming to disorient him, if she could get a good hit.

“Ahhh….I figured you would be calling your bodyguard. Good thing I have an ace up my sleeve.” He was about to get up and leave when the tiny little thing hit him pretty hard in the head with that damned staff. While he was able to get his arm up intime to lessen the blow, it did leave him a bit disoriented. He looked up, blue eyes narrowing into a crazed glare. “That wasn't a very nice thing to do, little one.” His form swayed as he tried to stand on his two feet. “And here I was just going to walk away…” He almost stumbled over, shaking his head in an attempt to clear it. “Now I just want to rip your pretty little heart out.” He charged forward without warning with the idea to tackle her to the floor. He was going to punch the s**t out of that innocent face, then enjoy the feel of his hand around her starseed before he yanked it out.

Pharos was surprised honestly that she managed to hit her, but quickly saw the error in that situation. He recovered quickly and charged at her. She stumbled back taking a stance with her weapon and focusing to channel her magic and waving her staff’s small fan in front of her. She could feel it and knew it had worked, but she couldn't see the forcefield. She knew for the sake of the enemy it was good that it was invisible, but she didn't know where it ended for her sake. As long as she could see him she supposed it didn't matter.

She was glad she wasn't working in the courtyard today, or she wouldn't have had the energy for this little situation. As it was, she was tired, from before dawn farm work.

The look on Villons face when he crashed head first into some sort of unseen force was indeed priceless. There was a small little crunch sound from his nose taking a bit more damage than he would like, which only served to piss him off even further. The senshi tilted his head with narrowed eyes, staring unblinkingly at the tiny knight before him. He had the distinct feeling that his nose was bleeding, which made the sudden wide grin of his all the more disturbing. He simply sat there, watching with that grin plastered on his face. Oh, he knew there was a limitation to magic…That little bubble won't protect her for too long, and when it bursts, she had better hope she hits him hard enough to knock him unconscious. Otherwise, he was one step closer to that little star seed in her chest.

He was practically salivating at the thought.

He hit the barrier, but seemed unphased, as a matter of fact Pharos was more than a little bit concerned about his current expression. She realized he was waiting and she figured it might be best not to let her magic run out. He was waiting for that, right?

She sighed and tensed, gripping her weapon again before releasing the magic and going on the offensive again. She still didn't feel Neckar and being a stage above his senshi didn't change the massive size difference in them should the senshi manage to get the upper hand on her. She was stronger, sure, but he was heavier by far.

She swung her staff again as hand as she could and hoping not to break the thing.

Fool him once, shame on him. Fool him twice?

Villon bent back to avoid the hit her staff would have made, coming back up with black ink dripping from his mouth. He spat at her then, wasting no time charging to get in close again. It seemed like the poor thing did not have any fighting skill whatsoever, so as long as he dodged her stupid stick, she was ********. His hand reached out, wrapping around the tiny little thing’s throat and squeezing, “Gottcha~” he wasted no time, grip tightening quickly.

Pharos blinked startled when he avoided her staff because he was so tall he had to lean pretty far back. The momentary pause cost her because while she managed to avoid the black ooze dodging to the side, he still managed to grab and lift her right up off the ground. She was still holding onto her staff, as she choked her.

Coughing she ground out, “let go … I can't breathe.” She had to make him cross her arms with as much force as possible to tangle his arm up with her staff, when swung her body back and then forward as much as she could to kick in his chest and try to use him as a springboard.

She didn't know if she had enough strength, feeling woozy from his tight grip.

Villon let out a cackle at the little tiny thing mentioning she couldn't breathe, “Good…Politely stop trying to breathe and I promise you it will be over faster.” He wasn't expecting the damned menace to use him as a springboard, causing him to lose his grip on her neck. He skid back from the force used and almost stumbled, hunching over with his arms dangling. The look of pure murderous intent lit in his blue eyes and despite the fact that he was feeling a bit drained, he started to stalk forward, pausing mid step when he felt an order signature that was vaguely familiar heading their way.

s**t.

He knew his time was up, so he slowly started to back away, eyes locked on what would've been his prey if it wasn't for the interference. “Next time…” He growled, “That body guard of yours won't be able to get to you in time.” He chuckled, “You're ******** when I see you next little one.” He leaped back into the shadows and took off, not wanting to deal with the big lug without backup. Taaff would not be there to bail him out with her skateboard.

Pharos gasped when he managed to get free of him, the momentum causing her to hit the ground hard. She groaned, pulling herself up and feeling the same aura the senshi must have felt because he decided to make a hasty retreat. She fixed her face into a glare … next time?!?

She wasn’t going to let him get the better of him next time. She was smart and she came all this way, she had been tired today from her efforts to restore her wonder, but she could hold her own. She was a squire and she was serious about being a great knight of Pharos.

“Next time …,” she said softly in a determined voice before heading in the direction of what she hoped was Neckar’s aura.
