Prompt 8 (Snowbunnies): Winter seems to bring out the cutest of all rodents; this isn’t the first time that small, white rabbits have infested Destiny City. They’re small, rarely larger than a guinea pig, and have large eyes and wiggling noses. They are always pure white and seem to show up whenever there’s snow. They aren't menacing or evil, they're just everywhere. They seem strangely domesticated; they are sweet, curious, and friendly creatures that will eat anything you give them. They always seem cold to the touch, and when they shake, little snowflakes sprinkle off of them.
While they seem to be social creatures who seem to appreciate anything warm and will cuddle up to steal body heat, they are too skittish and fast to be kept for pets. They can show up just about anywhere, either alone or--often--in pairs. They tend to wander off on their own without any trouble, but if you surprise them or try to catch or hurt them, they may bite. Their little teeth are enough to break skin, but after one bite they run away. The bite itself isn’t bad, but the effects are a bit unpleasant: for roughly two days after the bite, the injury is cold and the victim will feel random, cold, shooting pains. Their core body temperature will drop and they will often be sent into random fits of shivering. No medicine seems to help, and no amounts of blankets or hot baths can soothe the chill. You're just going to have to deal with it and hope it gets better…
Most experiences with the bunnies are perfectly pleasant, you just have to worry about them burrowing. There are holes peppering Destiny City, and with the fresh fallen snow it can be impossible to tell where they are hiding. The holes range from small holes to several feet deep, so can be a minor inconvenience to a potential hazard. On the bright side, sometimes you wind up covered in bunnies looking for warmth from their sudden guest. On the other hand, there are a rising number of trips to the hospital for twists and sprains. The bunnies always leave with the snow, so best to enjoy them--or avoid them--for as long as you can.
Bellalunae was so exhausted from her recent mission. Literally that mission was a lot more difficult than she had expected and she realized now she needed to step up her game. like majorly step up. Since she was totally lost the whole time and could hardly keep up. And failing behind in her job was no very widely accepted and more looked down upon. and she definitely didn't want anymore trouble there that was for sure.
So today was her training day or at least thats what she was calling getting out of bed today. Since in all honesty that bed felt nice on her hurting back. She almost felt way older after that mission, then she should have. So she quickly stretched her paws outside of the entrance to her families hotel. Luckily there weren't many people outside right now. So no one questioned at cat leaving and stretching outside the door.
Just as she finished up her stretching she suddenly noticed something out of the corner of her eye. At first she thought it was the snow since it was pure white and it had been snowing all day. Which of course she was not found of, with how bright colored it was. but then as she paused and looked closer she noticed more pure white things moving in the same direction. Almost like in a pack.
"that's definitely not normal," she said as she quickly chased after them. "I wonder if the other side is up to something," she thought to herself as she followed behind them. It didn't take her long to notice they were all heading to the pack nearby. She figured it must be the meetup place. "This is weird I wonder what their up to," she thought outload as she tried to remain quiet behind the pack of pure white colored fluffy things she was following. She thought it was even weirder that she had originally planned to scope out the park today too. It was as if whatever these things were had read her mind a little bit.

Dari had never seen snow before last year, when the Snowbunnies nearly killed him, yet he was curious to learn more about snow, He bounded out the cat door at full speed out into the snow and ran all the way to the park, where he immediately began to romp around in the snow.
Suddenly he bumped into another Kitten - one that he knew ...
Bellalunea was just about to get into their hiding or whatever it was in the pack. Just when she bumped into another kitten. One who seemed to be enjoying this snow she so despised. After all it was wet and gross, and when it stuck to her paws she couldn't stand it.
"Who dares get in my way," she said as she turned towards them. Trying to recollect herself as she shook the snow off of her fur. With one last shake the snow was off her and she looked to see who she had bumped into in this snow.
"oh it's you..." she couldn't say she was surprised to see them again but she never expected to see them out here.
"Are you following those white fluffy things too," she questioned. Maybe the other side had the same idea she did. Maybe they weren't the ones organizing this. but if they weren't then just what were these fluffy white things up too.

Dari sniffed the rude kitten he had bumped into, and then realized who it who it was - "Ohhhh, hey there, it's you-" she had cut Dari off and mentioned the white fluffy things around them. For the moment, he gave them a fleeting glance, and then did a double take as his eyes widened in terror! He took ahold of Bellalunae's collar and attempted to pull her away from them. "We've got to get away from them as fast as we can - our very lives may depend on it!" He yelled in alarm. "They're snowbunnies!"
Bellalunae wanted to be angry at this kitten for yanking her collar. but at the same time she wanted answers. She needed to know what these bunnies were doing, and if this kitten was afraid it couldn't be good. Since she still remembered their fight and this kitten was not one to just back away from something.
"Hey! you! wait a minute," she yanked back standing her ground as best she could. "What are snowbunnies? and how on earth could those fluffy things beat us."
She meant that as a compliment since they were magically cats, and they had to be tough then these 'snowbunnies'.

After Dari had gotten the other kitten a serious distance away, he released her collar and began to pant heavily.
After a few moments, he caught his breath and asked in a frightened tone, "Ok, so you know there are two types of Magic right, Order and Chaos right?"
Bellalunae fluffed her fur around her collar back as he realized her. Part of her still wanted to run up and fight these things. But she figured she'd give this cat a chance to explain. After all the more info you have on your enemy the better, and these bunnies were already starting to get on her bad side.
"Yeah. I mean you're Order and I'm Chaos," she said since at least she knew which side they both stood on. "But what do the bunnies have to do with that? and how could they possibly beat us? powered cats," she asked seriously since she was curious and if he had the answers she wished to know them.

Dari puffed himself up as he sat- he was the professor now (an eight-year-old equivalent kitten too). "There is actually a third kind on Earth. It is extremely weak and normally very harmless and does nothing but produce a rare miracle for those who truly believe in the 'magic' of the 'Holiday' - it is therefore called 'Holiday Magic'. Unfortunately, with the great magnitude of the Order and Chaos Magics in the area, when the Holiday Magic buildup is greater than usual- ie certain greater holidays such as Halloween and Christmas, and perhaps a few others during some years, all the Magics seem to get mixed up and produce strange and unusual (and sometimes dangerous effects)." Dari loved pretending to be his bonded - Professor Etamin. Somehow at some point in the lecture, he had even produced a pair of Kitten sized Etaminan Spectacles (glasses) that had seemed to not be there one moment and be on the tip of his little nose the next - trying to look like an Etaminian Scholar.
Bellalunae listened and only got distracted once when the kitten produced Spectacles. 'That's a first,' she thought quietly in her head. Since she had never seen a cat do that before. But then again they were magical so anything was possible she assumed.
She shook her head and took in everything he had said. So the magic of the holidays were dangerous because of people like them. That actually made sense. Since she always figured there had to be repercussions for powered beings existing.
"So if our magic created them, couldn't that also mean if the two of us fought them together. We might stand a chance at beating at least a few of them?" she asked tilting her head to the side.
As much as she disliked the idea of teaming up with the order. She also really disliked those fluffy bunnies, and if teaming up might get rid of some of them. Well, now after what she heard, she was willing to do it! Whatever it took to get rid of them, she wanted to try.

When the other kitten mentioned fighting them, Dari blanched, and his entire professor charade shattered - the spectacles vanished.
"It's not that they fight exactly..." he shuddered having a terrible memory. "i mean they can bite if they are threatened - and that is bad enough - there is like a several day reaction..."
He shuffled his feet, still remembering those horrid bunnies. "The bad part is that they aren't even real bunnies..." He let that sink in. "They're made of ice and thus do not have their own body warmth - and that means - they have to get it from somewhere..."
He was now crouched down in the most pathetic, whimpering terrified kitten position. He looked nothing like the cool, calm professor from earlier. He looked up at her, like she knew what came next...
"So what I'm hearing is it's some battle practice," she said with a smile and the thought of fighting something dangerous excited her. Especially since it was unlike anything she had fought before.
She definitely needed to get these claws out and have some practice. and these bunnies or not real bunnies but whatever they were could be the perfect thing. Plus it could show off her strength to that order kitten.
"So how about this - lets see just how strong we each are. The one who takes down the most wins, and if it gets to bad we can always run. How's that sound?" she said towards the order kitten. She knew by his original reaction that this probably wouldn't be his first choice. But maybe if it was a game he would hope on board and she could test her theory.

Dari shook his head fervently. "Tried that last year." He shuddered. "They all piled on top of me. A 100 high." He shivered. "My bonded was away on his planet, but it was fortunate that his twin is also a senshi and has a long-range minor poison disbursal attack - it cleared them off of me - however I was with seconds of death, and I had hypothermia for three months. I will NOT go through that again. You can if you want." He kicked the snow with his hind-legs - an Etaminian gesture that he was no longer responsible her, and started to stalk off.
She watched him kick the snow nearby and something peaked her ears. She wasn't listening to his answer anymore just the noise. Then she saw it - it was a snow-bunny! It must have been hiding in the snow and it did not look happy to be kicked!
She watched as it geared up to head towards Dari. "Watch out," she yelled. Knowing she was too far away at the moment, since that order cat really walked fast. She quickly exposed her claws and used her Teleportation!
As she teleported right in front of Dari, and was surprised it actually took her where she wanted to go. She used her claws and slashed at the bunny! "No buddy likes a sneak attack," she said allowed as she noticed the bunny get knocked back a step.

Dari felt his kick hit ice and felt warmth drain from his body - just enough to make him shiver. He turned as fast as he could, and yet would have been too late, as the Chaos Kitten Teleported to a spot right between him and the bunny. She screamed something (he was barely paying attention), and slashed the bunny who had been knocked back and away from the bunny - who was stopped from draining Dari's warmth. Had the Chaos Kitten just saved his life?
No time to think about it, as the entire pack of bunnies emerged from the snow around them- hundreds closing in on them.
On instinct, Dari let loose his new Enhancement:
Mauvian Claws: Grinding Sand
While Mauvian claws alone are generally stronger than cat claws, this enhancement gives them a little extra to fight with. All Mauvians who have unlocked this will get a small magical effect that activates when their claws come in contact with a target; the effects can last for ten seconds if the Mauvian is in their natural form or fifteen seconds if the Mauvian is in their humanoid or Senshi form. They cannot use this enhancement if they are in a civilian glamour. This ability activates after every scratch and has no max number of uses per battle. The target feels as if the injury is ground with sand granules.
Apparently, it was strong enough to melt the closest bunny. The rest fled, but not without leaving Dari with a parting gift on his right foreleg, leaving him shivering and dizzy, he was barely able to stand. His nose was running already, and it would seem he might have hypothermia once more.
Bellalunae kind of lost her footing after that attack and fell to the ground. Between the attack and teleporting for the first time, her body was having a rough time adjusting. Now she had no idea why she saved that order kitten, but she was not one to think sneak attacks were fair. Maybe thats why she teleported to save him? To be honest she had no real idea herself why she did it.
She watched as Dari fought back, and she had to admit for a order kitten he definitely had some fight in him. Before she could gain her footing again to help, she watched him use his Mauvian claws.
Quickly she watched all the snow-bunnies dissipate. "not bad," she said with a slight smile before turning and realizing he didn't look so good. Apparently the snow-bunnies had hit him at some point.
"You know what I think you've won this round. So how about as the loser I help get you closer to home," she said as she offered a shoulder to lean on. After all if not for him she wouldn't be in as good of shape as she was. and while she may be chaos she wasn't a complete jerk to leave someone when they were hurting.
