My story is
I don't have many recollections of my childhood. My last memory way that I was going to meet with my Father for my first Pokemon to celebrate my tenth birthday, having been seen out the door by my Mother and then simply, nothing. When her recollections began once again, she was still certainly ten years old, though there were things that seemed unfamiliar to her, from her white hair and eyes to a softer voice. While she couldn't bring up any memories of what she looked like before, seeing herself within the reflection of a lake gave her a distinct sense of it being 'wrong' and that it 'wasn't her' yet no matter how often she closed her eyes, they always reopened to the same sight. Beside her now was a companion, an Ultra Beast known as a Nihilego, which according to researchers who picked her up were known for hunting through taking over the minds of their prey, yet the Nihilego had no intentions of hunting her. The researchers had turned her over to the wilds, she was ten and had a Pokemon, they didn't feel the need to care for a child they realized had lost everything over the course of at minimum a hundred years and yet for her was merely a day.
She hadn't allowed such unfortunate circumstances to lower her spirits, however. Given that she had been within an Ultra Worm Hole for such extended periods of time, Ultra Beasts were attracted to her as she smelled like their home, and using this she started to study them and their habitats, becoming the youngest researcher.
At sixteen she was invited to Uva Academy where she graduated after merely a year and became a recognized researcher within Paldea to receive special permissions to enter Area Zero, with the exception that she would require a Guard of Paldea's Champion Rank, which annoyed her as her Pokemon were more than capable of protecting her, though rules were rules. So, Eirlys decided that if she was going to be forced to bring along a companion, then she would merely do as she pleased and let this 'guard' have to struggle to catch up with her, from fearlessly jumping off the cliffs all the way to the bottom of the crater to dashing into labyrinthian cave systems to lose her 'guard' as a game and be able to study on her own in peace while her supposed 'guard' attempted to scramble to catch up or even just to find her.
Despite her delicate appearance and way of speaking, Eirlys amongst the Champions and her fellow researchers is known as an oddball and unusually athletic for her build... Not that even Eirlys could explain these things after all.
