Dawn broke with a boom, light streaming into small gaps left by the thunder clouds. Ushi's eyes snapped open at the sound, awakened most abruptly. He realized next that Sae was asleep on his arm and that it had been numbed into oblivian. He leaned forward and kiss her forehead sweetly. "Good morning my fair princess." He purred.

She growled playfully at him and nipped the arm serving as her pillow for daring to wake her. She was so glad that she had gone to find him a few days ago. It had been fun to hunt with him during the day and finally spend some real quality time with him at night. It had been so long since she had felt like herself.
"Good morning," she murmured.

He had nearly forgotten what great mornings with her felt like. It was good to be reminded again, that was for sure. He wondered if "good mornings." Such as these might be why he had so very many siblings. Perhaps they would see their own family increase at such a time. She was so cute when her voice was all gravelly like that.

She sighed happily, that he had picked up on the cozy snuggle mood that pervaded between them. She pressed a kiss into the hollow of his collarbone. She was just so very content at the moment, sandwiched together in his poor camping blankets, the edges curled around them to maintain their heat bubble.

"So what do you want to do today?"
He was open to nearly anything. "Do you think Kechiri has the main house burnt down yet?" their elder daughter was a handful and a half and he couldn't be more proud of her. No more than he should expect from her good breeding, but still it made him nervous to leave her only semi supervised.

"You can't keep your thumb on her forever. She is eventually going to get free, best to let her out a bit while she is still smallish. It was different with Kechi, a good blend of both herself, her mate and two of his sisters; Einsol his twin and Nykinae, one of the elder triplets. Somehow Kechi hadn't gotten any of Honi's sweet temperament.

"You still didn't say what you wanted to do today." He poked her gently, trying to rise a bit more of a response out of her.

She rolled her eyes and snuggled deeper down.
"What if I said that I wanted to stay like this all day? Not move and inch, narry a hair?"
She grinned, knowing this would get him, one way or another. There was more than one way to get a capramel to market. It was also the truth, she did want to laze around with her sexy male all day. She couldn't think of anything she wanted more.

"I'd say that eventually we would get too hungry for that." He stroked her hair gently. "Plus the fact that being close to you for long periods of time tends to make my mind wander, as you well know." She had him so wrapped around her finger that it was quite funny. Though Thal was in the same boat.

She hummed, reached over and smacked a small bag of jerky gently onto him.
"There! Problem solved." She was totally a brat, but that was okay! It was worth it to see the look on his face after all. She laughed sweetly. She loved the games they played together like this. He was so smart she never had to worry that he couldn't keep up with her. He definitely outsmarted her sometimes too.

He laughed too, so hard that he disturbed her where she lay by accident. "How dare thee woman? I might be a ranger but I need to subsist on more than jerky alone!" Perhaps I should eat you instead!" He put on a monster voice, the same one he used on the girls when they were growing up and started tickling her.

She was so glad that there weas no one else out here, because they probably sounded more than a little rediculous. "Stop, stop, oh someone save me!" She giggled through the whole sentence though. "Maybe a leisurely breakfast, followed by a leisurely day with a spot of fishing?" Or something along those lines anyway.

"Alright! So long as food is involved I am totally in." It truly did sound like a perfect day, though the last few days had been pretty spectacular . He groaned, "I suppose I must extract myself form the blankets if breakfast is going to be a thing. The jerky does not count." He needed more than a few scraps of dried meat with how active they usually were, so did she for that matter.

"Jerky counts! But we did find a few nice eggs yesterday and we have tubers and fruit. Sounds like a good solid breakfast to me. We can save the jerky for later." She didn't want him to get up as she did adore snuggling him..and he was warm, that was also important. It was chilly where their camp was at this high altitude. She wanted to keep the heat bubble all to herself.

They normally switched who cooked and she had done yesterday's breakfast, so it was his turn. He wiggled up and beefed up the fire a bit. This reminded him of when he used to camp with Thallassa. Maybe they could do that again one day. Might be fun! Even his parents used to camp with them when they were little. Though he wasn't sure how much Ny had ever liked it.
