Umen 1
It was past time, in his eyes, for a spot of adventure. They had put a great amount of time and effort into raising their kids to the best of their ability. Now it was time for him and Rista to have some quality time to themselves. He was almost fully packed for a new adventure.
"Rista, we are going away for a bit, just you and me."
He tucked a long fingered hand under her thick blue hair, the sensitive pad of a finger brushing over her crystals.

"We are?" This was the first she was hearing about any sort of trip. She leaned into his touch, feeling something awaken in her that had been dormant for a very long time.
"Where are we going?" Her mind was abloom with curiosity. Umen liked to organize surprises and she definitely hadn't seen this one coming. She laid her hand over his wrist, rubbing the spots that marked him as a water tribe member.

"Well I figured that we hadn't spent that much time together, just the two of us, for what seems like a very long time. Where would you like to go?" He tugged her closer and enfolded her in his arms. Letting all the love he felt for this tiny, graceful spitfire of a woman. He had liked her from the first time he had seen her. Over time it had grown to admiration, interest and love. Then they had had their sons and that love had just expanded and so had his heart. He loved her more every day.

"This is true, our lives definitely did get busier." Two boys had that effect on a family to be sure. "I never really thought about travelling, I was pretty content, hmmm." She turned it over and over in her head.
"I would really like to see Haukea." She had found some books on the kahikinians and Haukea sounded like a perfect couples get away. They could try new things and maybe rekindle some romance while they were there!

"That would certainly be an interesting place." He usually read the books she read and therefore had a smiliar impression of the place in question.
"I've packed for both of us already." He was helpful like that. He also wanted to get gone. They both really needed this. A vacation was just what the healer ordered.

She loved that Umen was so game to go where she wanted to go. It was a special type of surprise for her. It had come out of the blue and it was amazing.
"Oh! Someone is extra eager to go huh? Let me just go get my swords and I will be ready too." She took care of her weapons every day. Whet stone and wiped down. They were always ready to go.

"Sure thing." In no time they were ready to go. Excellent! He was happy that Ristadis had liked his surprise. Adventure was in his blood and he was raring to go. Plus there would be a ton of new kahikinian critters. He was always eager to get a bead on new critters and he was happy that Rista never minded his animal obsession and how many of those animals eventually ended up in their house.

The trip to the isles had been interesting, she wasn't sure her mate enjoyed the extended ship ride over. It amused her that a water male could even get seasick. She found an Inn, and nursed Umen until he started to feel better. She rested the back of her hand on his heated forehead. "Maybe you caught an actual cold babe?" She asked gently. "Either way, no more sea voyage for you for a while."

He hadn't known that such and extended sea journey would be so debilitating. How wrong he had been. He was however feeling much better. He rose and made use of the Inn shower, grateful that Rista had nursed him so avidly. This had been a touch less romantic than he had hoped, but there was still time to make up for that. He reentered their room, Rista was dressed and prepared for the day's adventure. The voyage hadn't seemed to affect her that much.

Well his healthy color had returned and he had bathed smelling sweetly of jasmine and lavender. It had been a long time since they had been alone together and her lust for her gorgeous mate awoke in full force. She let her eyes rake over him. Perhaps they could delay their adventures...
"You look surprisingly well. I must have done a good job keeping you alive." She popped a hip out and posed for him.

Obviously the shower had done wonders on him. He raised his eyebrows at her, stepping closer.
"Rista.."
He stopped about 3 feet away from her. Hunger coloring his orange eyes.
"If you keep that up we will not get a head start on our adventures." His voice was gravelly and had dropped an octive. The older she got the more beautiful she became. And now, once again, it was just the two of them; no sons, sisters, nieces, nephews, great nieces or nephews. Her family was hard to keep up with.

She tilted her head, exposing her neck just a little more, she knew it tortured him. And she so enjoyed every moment of it too.
"Perhaps... the grand adventures could wait for an hour or two."
As she spoke she had wrapped her arms around his neck. H had put on a decent amount of muscle on since becoming a beast charmer.
She dug her fingers into his long green hair and gently tugged him down to her, pausing before their lips touched.

Well, all hope of getting outthat door early just went up in a conflagration of emotions. He leaned forward just a whisper and pressed his lips to hers.
It was like getting struck with lightning, despite being parents. Their passion had always been there. He wrapped his arms around her and tugged her close until their bodies fit together from toes to lips. He smiled. "It was worth nearly dying on that boat."

She grinned back against his mouth. Her plan had gone swimmingly. BUt she couldn't blame herself, so much had happened since the boys had come along, then they had spent years trying to find Elaxi. Rista couldn't imagine what it felt like to loose a child and she hoped she never had to. She was unopposed however to have more. She loved babies, and the two boys had gotten too big for coddling.
"I'm very glad you think so."
She claimed his mouth and there was suddenly no time for talking.

He awoke some time later with Rista curled into a snuggling ball at his side.
"We should do that more often," he said as he stretched up magnificently, his fists bumped the intricately carved head board. He wrapped his arms around Rista and squeezed gently. It was a joy to note that their passion for each other remained undimmed. He couldn't stop smiling. He nuzzled her head with hi face. Letting his five o clock shadow scrape gently over her skin.
