The Pumpkin Thief ( 8 ):Every now and then, a few pumpkins will disappear from a local pumpkin patch. It’s probably just some teenagers playing pranks, or some wild animals, or–oh, this is Destiny City. Of course, there are rumors that it might actually be some furry, moss-covered behemoth from the forest. And there’s credence to that rumor, because maybe you’ve seen it, too. It’s a strange creature that keeps its distance. It almost looks like it might be a skinny, malformed bear but there’s something just off about it. Sometimes, it just steals pumpkins, and you find their carcasses strewn about not far off. Sometimes, it throws the pumpkins–at people, at places. Sometimes, it carves out a hideous face and wears the pumpkin like a mask. It cannot be caught, and it will always run off into the wood if engaged. Sometimes, you can hear a strange, ghoulish bellow as it disappears into the forest.
Dreama was carving her holiday Jack-o-Lantern (out of a turnip, for that had been the tradition in Ireland, while relaxing in the Commons of Sovereign Heights, when she overheard whispered rumors from her collegemates. "Yeah, I heard - some kind of starved, misshapen bear has been going around stealing Jack-o-lanterns and pumpkins, eating some (and leaving the leftovers), throwing some at people, things and buildings, or otherwise thinks it's the headless horseman and uses it like a head or rather mask." "Yeah, and I heard it's like impossible to catch, the moment that anyone even thinks of catching it, it vanishes like smoke off to the woods - with a ghostly wail or bellow." "And it only comes out after six, but before 10.
Dreama frowned; it looked like she was going to have a major patrol tonight- and as she had a good deal of homework, and it was already 4:30, she'd better get to work.

Amigar was almost done with her shift today at the bakery. She had luckily gotten the mid-shift so she could finish up her US history midterm tonight. Maybe less luck and more a little bribing of her specialty red velvet cupcakes. Either way, it worked thankfully.
She was just about to go hang up her apron when she heard some customers at the counter mention disappearing pumpkins. They said things like no one had really seen anyone, but they had heard tails of people seeing a weird shadow or messed up bear of some kind. One thing she realized as she eavesdropped all the stories had in common was running into the woods.
As soon as they got up and left she ran to hang up her apron, waved goodbye to everyone, filled up her messenger bag with some treats she had made, and exited out the backdoor quietly. As she got outside she whispered under her breath with a heavy sigh, "Well looks like my midterm will have to wait."
With that, she quickly transformed and rushed off to the closest woods she could think of. Catching this person or thing or whatever it was a job she needed to solve before any more pumpkins came up missing.
Terpsichore made her way towards the woods area. None of the regular civilians seemed to notice anything weird about her fuku - it seemed be just regular clothes for a teenage girl or young adult woman her age interested in dance. Her Mauvian friend said she was lucky in this day and age. Apparently, many Senshi had fuku, that represented the ancient cultures and fashions of their planets and had no connection to ANY culture or fashion on Earth these days and stuck out like a sore paw - er thumb.
She was walking through a large crowd, when she sensed the Aura of another Order Senshi - and smelled delicious pastries. The other Senshi seemed to be headed the same way she was. So, Terpsichore figured she'd go over and say hello - though not in this crowd. The young woman seemed to have some kind of bakery sphere - the reason for the sweet smell. Terpsichore attempted to catch her eye, smile, and gesture simply with a small quick nod to move into a nearby alley, so that they could properly introduce themselves without getting the crowd accidently involved.

Mira had just arrived at the wooded area, which was way busier than she had seen it in a while. Thankfully most people just figured she worked in a cafe so she didn't get too many questions in the daylight. That funny enough was true.
As she tried to figure out where to start first. She noticed another Senshi was nearby. She looked around wondering if they were also here for the pumpkin thief. "Hmm maybe we could work together," she thought to herself as she looked around.
She quickly waded through the crowds of people in the area until she saw a female in a fuku. Now it looked kind of normal to most people around, just like her frilly outfit, but to her. She sensed that was the Aura of the order. Not only that but the closer she looked it looked like they were waving to her. Then she saw the gesture so naturally, she followed. "Hello, I'm Mira. Nice to meet you, are you here for the pumpkin case too?" she said kindly as she was almost to the Senshi but not close enough she could see her face yet.
"Yeah," Terpsichore said nervously with that Irish accent of hers. "I'm Sailor Terpsichore of Rhythm. Nice to meet you as well. I was thinking we could work together? Sorry... if I sound a bit nervous. I've only been a Senshi about 6 months, and I've only really been doing much this month (which has really been creepy me out). I had actually only arrived in the US the day I was Awoken... and I've made few friends since, especially in the Senshi War..."

Mira smiled and was happy to hear she wasn't the only one working the case. "Nice to meet you Terpsichore, I'm Sailor Mira the Senshi of Sugar. She thought about their proposal and nodded, "That sounds wonderful and if you need any snacks just let me know I come bearing pastries."
She opened her small bag and showed all the bagged pastries she had to offer. Hoping that would help the Senshi realize she could relax a bit. Since she was different than most, she was relaxed as they came.
"Well welcome to the US and any help you need I would happy to give. but the fact you are out here shows you are already doing great. You are trying to do good and help any way you can," she said with a smile since things like these were what made the members of the order and not chaos. the fact she was a newbie doing this was even more amazing. Since most would be too scared to come out on their own like this just to help others.
Teri smiled. She felt confident now, that her new friend had encouraged her. "Okay! Thank you. As for the sweets," she grinned. "They can be a Victory Feast! -" She paused, "Hey do you hear that? It's like the sound of someone eating..." She frowned, "Rather messily... and amplified!"

Mira smiled and nodded the victory feast sounded like a wonderful idea. So she closed the bag and looked quickly in the direction of the noise that sounded very messy. Someone definitely needed some napkins or a mop. "I do, maybe our culprit is closer than we think," she said as she quickly but quietly made her way over toward the noises. As she got within viewing distance she noticed that the voice was coming from not a human but something else. It looked like it had a pumpkin head. That was different. "So our pumpkin thief is a pumpkin head himself. That's different," she whispered to Terpsichore as she tried to think of ways that could possibly capture whatever this thing was and save more pumpkins from being taken.
Teri nodded but noticed that the Jack-O'Lantern head seemed to slip here and there, furthermore, she questioned how was the thing eating pumpkins through that Jack-O'Lantern head?
"What is this? She whispered, "Headless Horsebear? How do you think that we should handle this? I can make him dance, that is about it. You?"

Mira thought for a moment. How does one take care of a pumpkin head? That was when it hit her, even if it was a pumpkin head it had to have teeth right? After all, it was eating them somehow. So maybe just maybe her sweet tooth wink attack would work.
She tried not to laugh at the name, "I like that Headless Horsebear, but well dancing would be interesting. I could try my Sweet tooth attack on them. I mean they have to have teeth if they are eating right? and sweet tooths will stop anyone in their tracks."
She knew from experience that sometimes too much sugar could immobilize anyone at least for a moment anyways. Since who wanted to move in all that pain?
Teri thought about it, then nodded. "I agree but be careful. I will be backup."

Mira just nodded and smiled. She was happy they had a great plan worked out. So she put the plan in motion and slowly began to sneak upon the creature. One bush to another she tried to conceal herself as she got closer to the woods where they were. Once she was within range she quietly swirled her hands above her head twice. Posed cutely, put her hand to her mouth, stood up, and shot a sugary sweet tooth kiss in the direction of the creature.
Sweet Tooth kiss! offensive
As in her last attack Sailor Mira swirls her hands above her head two times and then aims towards her opponent. Sailor Mira will pose cutely and instead of winking. She raises her left hand to her mouth and blows a kiss. Doing this will send a lip shaped wind of sugar towards her opponent. This sugar will be a double the amount of sugar of the last, basically an upgrade to her last attack. If this attack hits, the person it is aimed at will receive sweet sensations flowing randomly throughout there mouth and will receive a full mouth tooth-ache! This attack will only last for a maximum of 15 seconds. This attack can be done three times per battle. Distance travel possible is 12 ft.
She watched as it headed towards the creature wondering what their next move would be and if her attack would hit.
The creature howled and screamed in pain, it couldn't decide whether to run off or to throw a fit, so it did both, throwing a fit as it ran off, throwing everything (especially pumpkins and Jack-O-Lanterns) everywhere.
Teri stepped up to the plate.
Sailor Scout Attack:Lord of Dance's Rhythmic Curse I
While channeling her magic, Sailor Terpsichore does a brief dance and points at a target. A 'curse' is brought down on the target, giving them a powerful impulse to match her moves and dance in rhythm for 30 seconds (the target is able to fight this urge to a certain degree but may feel slight anxiety if they fail to repeat her dance moves perfectly for the duration of the magic). While Terpsichore's dance will only last for up to three seconds, she can customize the moves for her target to copy in that time frame, and they must repeat the rhythm until the magic ends. This magic has 3 uses, and the target must be within 10 feet. She can target multiple people at once while demonstrating the magic's rhythm.
But what would it do?

Mira watched Sailor Terpsichore's attack hit and she saw the weird creature dance - run off into the wooded areas. They looked like they were in so much pain that they just wanted to escape. She could tell after all they put them through they were definitely not stealing any pumpkins tonight. This "training" mission had been a definite success.
"You did a wonderful job! I think that dance was the final straw," Mira said to Sailor Terpsichore with a smile. For a new Senshi, she was definitely impressed by her and was happy to have her partnership with this task.
The next thing she did was look around and noticed a wonderful wooden table nearby their location. "You know what I think this calls for a victory dessert? What do you think?" she said opening her bag slightly and pointing to the location she had found.
Teri grinned. "I agree." She sat down with her new friend and began to eat. "I have one other friend in the powered world, and I would like you to meet him some time. But, ah he's a little different." She frowned, what would Mira think of a talking cat? "He's the one who Awakened me and helps me out during certain problems."
