Visiting family and going to do things with them was always a fun experience for Ronan who adored getting into any and all sorts of trouble. The youngling was full of energy, the very spitfire that made others wonder if Emiyn truly was the father if not for his obvious hybrid traits since he seemingly had none of the personality of the reserved summoner who helped to navigate them and the Misty Maiden as they sailed across the world. Today in particular, Ronan was really showing off his extra energy by weaving between countless Gaeians who were in the fields gathering crops for the harvest season. The boy had been promised that if he helped then he could have whatever type of pie his aunty would make him and he definitely wanted one of those cinnamon apple pies, even better if it was a bunch of the little hand ones that he could take back with him to the ship so that he could share with the others there, and so Ronan was bouncing back and forth with whatever baskets where handed to him so that he could pluck down any of the apples hanging from the lower branches of trees. It was a lot safer than trusting the boy out in the main fields with a scythe or any other tool that could cut him or anyone else, he was especially prone to causing trouble even when he was trying to assist others after all, and Ronan didn’t mind after he found a way to make a game of darting back and forth to gather the red and green fruits that had rolled to the lower edges of the fields. If there weren’t bite marks or bad bruises then he would quickly scoop them up before returning with a long reed that he had found on the outskirts of the fields of golden swaying crops where most of the adults were currently working on gathering for the harvest and that very reed would help him to whack at the lower branches of the apple trees to knock down even more apples to chase down the slight incline of a hill. “One, two and three!” A laugh escaped his lips as he smacked several apples and watched them start rolling away. “Come back!” He already knew that they would roll away though since that was obviously part of the game. Still, Ronan did adore being dramatic and so began the chase as he darted around others to track down the escaping fruits. Maybe it was not the most productive way to handle apple gathering for the harvest but Ronan was bored of simply picking up and carrying fruit back and forth to the area set up by the adults and other younglings who were helping to sort through everything the gatherers brought back.

“Ronan, be careful!” Viretia who was one of the gaeians helping with the harvest, a younger teen with a long pale green braid twisting down her back adorned with flowers and even a flower crown that her friend had made, chastised Ronan as he ran past though a smile was on her lips. Ronan may have a slight crush on the older girl with her freckled face and bright smile that brought one to his own lips so it was no surprise that he nearly tumbled down the hill at the very sight of her brilliance. A deep flush warmed his blue cheeks and he could only nod before turning away to continue running, his heart jumping in his chest. Who said she could show up and be so cute?! It was so much simpler on the boat when most of the crew were guys and even Imani and Endellion were guys that they could get into trouble with. Ronan pouted at the thought as he did miss the others on the Misty Maiden, even Endellion! But at least he would have some fresh pies to taunt them with whenever he returned after gathering all of these apples. Then he would probably have to help sort things and whatever else they needed before preparing for the huge harvest meal at the end of the season. That was actually going to be tomorrow and then everyone would have dancing and music while spending time together with even games and some prizes involved. Ronan was excited to compete against the others and to come home with prizes on top of his pies so that he could perhaps share with the others. A wicked grin of delight crossed his face as he took one final peek back to the cute girl who was helping someone else now with carrying a basket back, a small pout crossing his lips before he shook his head and simply carried on. His life was far too full of exciting adventures to worry about romance after all! Now about those apples…
