1 - 5: Fire! A small fire has broken out at the local village. But what is on fire and who might be involved is up to you in your prompt response. Find a way to help keep it under control and get anyone out safely.
6 - 10: Mudslide It has been a dry few weeks, and many were excited about the rains coming in. But alas, it seems that too much rain has caused a mudslide. The damage isn't bad, but there might be a few people missing that need to be tracked down.
11 - 15: Flood One late-summer storm has caused the rivers to swell, and increased the risk of someone or something getting swept away. You happen to be in the right place at the right time to catch sight of a thing bobbing in the waters. What is it and how will you help?
16 - 20: Earthquake Tendaji doesn't get too many earthquakes, so it's surprising when the ground begins to shake. Not terrible enough to split the ground, this quake was still strong enough to shake up the community and cause some problems. Explore the damage and see if you can find any way to help out the community.

“I don’t understand why you prefer to shop within earthling settlements.” Muttered Odina as she shifted her satchel, the bulky Vandrea trudging along a dirt path after her older Alkidike sibling. While it felt like most of her sisters preferred to explore the earthling lands, the Vandrea was much more comfortable back on Chiume around her mother tree. If she could the warrior in training would simply live off of the goods of their little island, hunting for what she could find and gathering things that would allow her to endure the cooler months before spring brought back fresh bounty. Even her mothers though enjoyed visiting the nearby Belrean city to trade for items with earthlings, the very thought making Odina huff. She had seen better things crafted back at home! Who needed all those fancy Belrean gadgets anyways? A good weapon forged by their own blacksmiths back at the encampment was far superior in her opinion.

“Because there are more options.” Briallen replied with a chuckle, the Alkidike more accustomed to her sibling’s gruff nature. “I know you prefer to stay home, but it did help to have some extra muscle today.” She gestured towards her stronger sibling, the Vandrea’s training already resulting in a tank of a body compared to Briallen’s lean frame. The explorer was strong, but she had a slimmer build with stronger agility than the strength of pure bulk like Odina. “There’s only so many things I can carry home by myself and I’m sure our mothers appreciate having more supplies with winter coming.”

“Hmm.” Odina gave a nod, her expression still disgruntled as she continued walking despite her protests. They both knew that she didn’t have to tag along with Briallen but the apprentice had decided to venture out anyway. So she supposed that she would make the best of things and at least enjoy some of those treats and the like which she did admittedly enjoy even though they were earthling made. Some of the Belrean candies were not made by any of the Sisters and she especially liked the little cakes shaped like fish filled with different sweet pastes. Not that she would admit that outloud!
However, it was not her heavy steps which caused the road to suddenly sway beneath them. Odina frowned as she braced herself, the groaning of the earth making her gasp as she reached for Briallen.

Briallen simply chuckled as they continued along. She knew that she could continue to tease Odina but it would be risky since her sister would storm off if the Alkidike pushed too much. Still, though her amusement was short-lived whenever the earth started trembling beneath them and Briallen found herself grasping her sister’s arms with worry. “An earthquake?” She vaguely remembered experiencing one years ago as a child in Chibale and it was still just as terrifying to feel the earth shaking like this!

Eventually the earth stopped shaking, Briallen and Odina both clutching each other as they tried to remain steady in the middle of the road. Thankfully they were not near any trees or rocks which had toppled during the quake, but the experience still shook both of them nonetheless. If they had been in the less stable areas instead of out in the open then something truly could have happened! Odina swallowed against the rising emotions before slowly letting go of her sibling so that she could straighten her body back out and take a tentative step forward. The ground almost felt like it wanted to split beneath them, what insanity was that?! “Earthquake…definitely not a pleasant experience.” She managed after a moment, her expression full of worry as she glanced back to Briallen. “Is it over?”

“Hopefully.” Briallen took a moment to collect her own thoughts, the Alkdike straightening her belongings and trying to get her bearings again. That was almost like trying to walk on land after being on a ship for a period of time! “Sometimes it could have an aftershock, but hopefully that was all we’ll be experiencing.” She bit the bottom of her lip thoughtfully before glancing over Odina. “Are you alright, Odi?” Above everything else Briallen was an older sister and protective of her family despite her strange habits and wandering nature, so it was only natural for her to make certain Odina was alright before figuring out their next steps.

“Ah, yeah.” Odina nodded after a moment, the Vandrea checking over her body. If anything she was just more emotionally shaken than physically harmed. She did not know that the earth could move like that and such a revelation was jarring indeed! Her gaze widened as she noticed a few fallen trees along the path ahead of them. “Do you think…everyone else is okay?” They were already so far from home…the very thought made her heart clench in her chest. Surely the mother tree and the rest of their community were okay, right?

“They’ll be fine.” Promised Briallen even though she was worried as well. “We’re closer to the earthling settlement so maybe we should check on the town first?” She offered quietly. “If anything we can see if they have supplies that can be salvaged. If our home was hit then it would be better to bring back what we can after helping out the earthlings.” It would be a shame if they came all the way out here and rushed back home without getting supplies, especially if those supplies could be necessary to help fix any damages back home.

Odina frowned thoughtfully before nodding. “Fair enough. Let’s hurry to town then and check on the damages. If they need help then I’ll gladly help carry or move anything that’s fallen.” She tightened her satchel on her shoulders before starting to march back down the path, her gaze determined even though her heart was twisting with worry for back home.

The sisters hurried along in silence, their fears growing as they saw the small town. Thankfully a lot of the buildings were made of sturdy bricks, but the earthlings they saw seemed to be darting about in a panic since the earthquake. Briallen found herself helping a teen to lift a fallen sign, her expression grim as she dared to ask. “What are the damages?”
“Nothin’ too major.” He started after a moment, the geian letting out a soft sigh as he turned his cornflower blue gaze towards the Alkidike who he vaguely recognized as a visitor to the town over the last few years. “A lot of the fences got destroyed so we have some roaming livestock and then the farmers lost their market stalls, but thankfully the houses stayed up save for two of the older ones that had loose foundations ta begin with. That’s a bit of a mess.”

“Then we can help gather the livestock after checking out the market. Is there anything truly heavy to move?” Odina offered as she helped her sister stab the sign for the road back into the ground. Silver Creek. She made a face at the name before following the boy towards the mess of the markets. Odina didn’t even mind the stares as she started after a group of farmers who were starting to pick up their stalls, the more stabilized pieces being propped up as they cleared up the town square.

“Thanks for the help.” Briallen simply nodded as she took care of other matters while her sister handled the heavy lifting. The Alkidike made certain that any youngling was brought back to someone who recognized them, the blade checking for injuries before releasing the little ones. While her sister did a lot of heavy lifting, Briallen looked for wandering animals and helped those who weren’t taking care of the more physical issues to gather their herds back up into the fences that hadn’t fallen apart during the quake. An afternoon swiftly passed as the sisters helped the locals, Briallen eventually also getting the supplies that had survived the quake. Thankfully even though the stalls had fallen most things had survived, minus getting a bit dirtied and crushed during the chaos of the earthquake.

“Ready?” While Briallen did most of the socializing, Odina simply grunted and offered her physical help to those who needed things carried out of the way. Thankfully no one had been seriously injured during the quake and those who had needed help were tended to by the local healer who had been out in the nearby field gathering herbs instead of being anywhere near the fallen building. Now that the afternoon was almost finished, Odina knew that they had to return and she was thankful that Briallen had also managed to get them supplies. The Vandrea was honestly eager to go home, her heart still full of worry as she could only pray that their home had been missed by the quake or if it had hit their home that it had been minimal damage.

“Yeah.” Briallen finished her farewells, shifted her nearly acquired supplies on her shoulders and smiled towards Odina. “You did well today, sis. I’m proud of you.” Helping earthlings! She never would have imagined Odina in such a situation, but they had both done their best today to help the earthlings out. It was funny to see the giant Vandrea in the middle of a group of earthlings and while Briallen was still worried about home there was a warmth in her chest. She was just happy to see that despite everything Odina did care about others, even if she did sometimes seem a bit biased against them. While her sister only grumbled a short reply under her breath, Briallen couldn’t help the smile that brightened her features and her mood as they trudged back home. Thankfully the damage was minimal there and she was glad that they had opted to help the earthlings and bring back supplies instead of simply rushing home.
