Quote: While making your way through Destiny City, you wind up taking a path you’ve never taken before. Maybe you’re following directions, maybe you got lost, maybe you were just looking for a shortcut—things were going well, until you wind up needing to pass through a graveyard. It seems normal enough—until you pass by a grave and get a powerful chill down your spine. When you stop and look at it, you see the gravestone has your name; beneath it, your birthday and today’s date. If you leave and return, the gravestone remains, but the name and dates look like they’ve been clawed off. Celadonite had set up a training session with one of the newbies on Faustite’s team, and somehow on the way to meet the lieutenant, he managed to take one Hell of a wrong turn and ended up…in a graveyard of all places.
Chuckling softly, the half youma shook his head and made his way over to one of the gravestones, glancing at it and pausing, his already cold blood turning to absolute ice in his veins.
…That…why did that say Lionel Maisuria? It did…it did say that…didn’t it?
He swallowed and squinted at the date of birth and took a half step backwards.
That was his birthday…and…
Oh god.
The date on the date of death was today.
For a moment, he couldn’t quite breathe, and when he got any sort of mind back together, he teleported, landing in a heap right in front of the lieutenant he was supposed to be training. Supposed to be helping. Nurturing.
For now though, all the half youma could do right now was shake, too frightened to say a word.

Thornasite sighed. No sign of the Captain... Which means he technically wasn't late. Even though he was.
Not that he was about to tell anyone.
Though, he wasn't entirely sure if no Captain in sight was a good thing. Had they just given up and left, were they running late too? Or perhaps they were simply a now show... Well, regardless of the answer, he'd shown up.. He'd done what he had said he would and no one could tell him otherwise. The Lieutenant crossed his arms, he would give it a couple minutes before he left himself.
Not that he would have to wait long...
When the Captain suddenly popped in front of him, Thornasite jumped, a string of curses leaving his mouth.

Okay, not brave, not nurturing, not composed at all and now on top of all of it he was scaring the poor little thing. “Ah. Sorry. There was. I…” Maybe…if he could show the male what he had seen, his behavior would be able to be explained a bit more easily…or at least. “...Come with me, I need you to just. There was a graveyard and…a headstone with my name on it and it just…it said today was the day that…you know.”
He shuddered and rubbed his arms, the sleeves moving up to show some of the iridescent scales that lay beneath. “...Freaked me out…ah. I’m Celadonite. Come, I’m. You’re going to see this too so you don’t think I’m completely insane. Follow me now, Thornasite.”
And without looking back he took off, his steps quick and sure, even though…he wasn’t completely sure just how to get back to the graveyard from here…but.
He found it once so winging it sounded like the best option.

Thornasite threw him a look.... The Captain.. had been scared by a... grave marker?
Seriously?
"You're fused with a youma... Some would call you a literal monster and that is what scares you? Really?" He scowled, following the taller man none the less. If this was some kind of joke.. Some hazing prank. Ugh. "Too late for that..." He muttered under his breathe.
There was not enough iced coffee in the world for this bullshit..
Whatever. Thornasite wasn't about to question the Captain's motives. He was out ranked here and wasn't about to cause more trouble for himself.

Celadonite frowned but continued walking, not feeling up to reprimanding the Lieutenant for being insubordinate, it was a strange situation, he could appreciate that but…still. This was their first meeting, and he would have thought that someone would want to stay on his good side. Especially seeing that he was half youma.
He was silent for the time it took them to find the graveyard again, and even when they did arrive, he said nothing…at least until he reached the headstone that had caused so much anxiety…and the state that it was in honestly made Celadonite’s heart stop.
The thing was utterly destroyed. The front of it clawed up beyond all recognition…
Celadonite wasn’t quite sure which was more terrifying, the fact that he had seen his name on a tombstone, and then that tombstone had been destroyed…or the fact that whatever destroyed it had claws that could easily gouge into stone.
“...I think. Perhaps we should leave. This. Was the stone but. As. You can see.” His voice was clipped, tense.
“I don’t think either of us would survive whatever is out here that can claw through solid stone.”

Thornasite fell silent, and in step with the Captain. He glanced at the other, once or twice to just take in the others appearance. But otherwise said did nothing else.
He was hesitant at first, when they reached the graveyard but quickly followed. "...Why did you even go through a graveyard in the first place?" He asked quietly. Surely there had to be better short cuts. Thorn glanced around the taller man, to the shredded stone before them. He could understand if someone had destroyed it, left rubble in their wake, but this stone was shredded. As if torn apart. Thornasite made another face, turning back to the Captain only for his attention to snag on another stone not to far off baring a name.
One that was not his own. Not anymore.
"Agreed." Thornasite said, tone cold. "On both accounts." He turned then, stalking off the way he came.

“I don’t even. Know.”
Celadonite’s tone was bitter as he swiftly followed Thornasite out of the graveyard. “I didn’t even know the place was here. It wasn’t the last time I walked this way so. That’s at least three strikes against it in my book.”
When the two of them were far enough away from the graveyard and when the half youma’s heart had stopped pounding so wildly, he paused and looked at the Lieutenant. “How about we rain check this practice. I’m in no mood to patrol or spar after that. I honestly just want to go home and curl up in front of the damn fire so…we’ll try this again tomorrow or next week. Just. Send me a message when you’re ready, okay?”
He shook his head and gave an almost rueful smile before teleporting, leaving the poor thing to find his own way back to wherever.
Hopefully it would teach him that he had to get stronger so that he could teleport too.

"Gotta love pop up s**t." Thornasite hissed. Maybe it was some stupid prop for some Halloween s**t the city was putting on... But then how would he explain.... Thornasite shook his head. That didn't matter. That wasn't his name.
It wasn't who he was.
"Works for me." He muttered. "But if I get in trouble for not training I am pointing them your way." The smaller man said, with a small nod. A rain check sounded like a good idea right about now. "Tomorrow should wor- aaand he's gone." He said, sighing as he turned around. "Of course... Cause why wouldn't he be...." Thornasite crossed his arms over his chest as he trudged back home. What he wouldn't give for the ability to teleport right now. Lucky p***k...
