Zerynthia loved visiting her grandparents. Putting on her performances for the rangers in their downtime was thrilling in it's own right, but getting to do it for crowds in the street was something else! Of course she wasn't supposed to because that often meant she'd snuck out away from everyone meant to watch her, but Zeri didn't much care. She stayed close enough and it wasn't like she was hiding! All they had to do was follow the sound of her voice!

That being said the little hybrid was standing atop a crate with a sparkling cloak around her pale shoulders and a large, wide brimmed witches hat atop her head. She had a fair amount of locals around her, mostly because she was just loud but Zerynthia had a plan!

"I AM ZERYNTHIA THE GREAT! GATHER ROUND TO SEE MY MIRACLES!" The youngling held her arms wide to beckon them close. As she moved her cloak to raise her arms, Zeri dropped a little of her flash powder and a few sparks lit up the area behind her.

Even standing atop her crate Zerynthia felt a little claustrophobic. She really needed to work on making a clear barrier for her crowds, but at least they'd given her enough room to work. That being said there was no way she couldn't see the Aishan who managed to be enthralled by her presence. She was huge! For a moment Zerynthia just stared, but when a shuffle of feet to her left caught her attention she got back to it.

"WATCH NOW AS I MAKE MYSELF FLOAT!"

Zerynthia waved her arms a few times, shuffled her feet around to get just the right angle and even picked at the hem of her theatrical dress for effect. In doing so she made it seem as if everything around her feet was open and obviously nothing was there to deceive, which was a lie, of course. Once she was perfectly set up the trick began.

The magician positioned herself at an angle to her audience in such a way that only the rearward portion of one foot and most of the other foot – concealing the toe end of the "far" (upstage) foot, was visible. Zerynthia, with the rearward portion of her feet held together, lifts the "near" foot off the ground, standing on only the front part of her "far" foot (the one which is partially concealed) while keeping her ankles together. The audience sees only one foot and the heel of the other (the "far" foot), which appear to rise off the floor. The hidden part of the "far" (upstage) foot supported her entire weight, thus giving the illusion of lifting a solid two inches off the crate.

With much 'straining' and 'huffing' the child held it for a few good minutes before dropping dramatically back onto the crate.

Zerynthia exhaled dramatically and flicked some hair away from her face. "Magic of that level is hard for the most experienced of mages, but I learned it when I was FOUR YEARS OLD." A bold claim; but one that got her a round of applause from those around her. Whether they truly believed the girl or not, Zeri didn't seen one displeased look.

"BUT you can also be as great as me one day! All you have to do is-" She looked to the left, then the right, and waved them closer. "-drink Lara tea every full moon and stand on your head during the sunrise. In no time the tea will work back into your head and you'll know all the best spells!"

It was hogwash; complete and utter bull. Lara tea was one of the most bitter teas to come from Sauti, but would these people know it? Not likely. And they would shell out some high prices just to nab the foreign drink. Still, Zeri believed herself to be playing an utterly glorious trick and smiled as brightly as if she were saying the truth.

"You there, in the back! You're a Vandrea, aren't you? Would you like to help me with my next performance?"

"Brilliant! Can I get a round of applause for my assistant today?" Zerynthia started the clapping herself and might have offered her spot on the crate if it wasn't so obvious she was going to need it. Even compared to adults she was small, but against a Vandrea? Well, she needed the help! "Okay, I'm going to need you to stand to my left and can I have your name?"

Zeri didn't have much experience with Aishans and even less with the Vandrea so getting to see one this close was exciting. The girl looked to be around her older siblings age, but those eyes....They were HUGE and gold, like a full moon!

"Okay, Calixa, just stand right there."

Zerynthia fanned her hands out, making a grand show of it and peeled back her sleeves. The wide, open spaces didn't have any visible pockets or hidden compartments, which gave her tricks some level of credence. Still, for her next trick there was a little catch to it.

When Zerynthia reached up to touch Calixa's ear it was only after she'd slid a thin, leather necklace into her hands. Acting as the pendant was a lovely rose quart in the shape of a heart; a gift she'd been given years ago that, in true child fashion, she'd decided to give to someone else.

With a much longer, less expensive chain of course.

She'd slid the necklace out of the hem of her sleeve with a few quick hand motions, all of which were disguised to the ground, but not as much with Calixa. She was good at her craft but not perfect just yet. "And now-" The youngling pulled 'the necklace from behind her ear' and held it up for the clapping crowd. "-a gift for my lovely assistant!"

"It's a rose quartz. They're said to be the stone of unconditional love so anytime you find yourself wishing for it just hold it tight and magic will carry you there."

It was a fanciful line that she'd read a hundred times in one of her storybooks, but oh how lovely it sounded~ And wouldn't it be something? If Calixa, a Vandrea from a land far far away, found someone to love while she traveled?

And now for the most important part of her show.

"That's it for today, folks! You've all been wonderful but I really must go. If you liked what you saw today tips are always welcomed. Words are nice, but the kind that shines is always best~" Zerynthia took off her hap, flipped it up and held it out with a smile.

There were several patrons that tossed a copper or two into Zerynthia's hat; more so out of kind hearted humor than anything else, but she saw a few gold pieces in the mix as well. Her family didn't lack for funds so it wasn't as if she needed to share her earnings, so whatever she made here today went straight to her own purse. What she spent it on would be a discussion for later, but right now she couldn't help looking toward the Vandrea.

It was just such a novel experience; being this close to an Aishan as a young, petite earthling child. She couldn't even begin to judge if the older girl was short for her kind or exceptionally tall because anything was big to her.

"A kind gesture from a kind lady." She looked down at the coin that had been tipped in and looked back up with a smile. "You said your name was Calixa, right? What brought you this far from home?"

"So are you going all over? Or are you going somewhere special?" She couldn't imagine any kind of light trip if they'd come all this way! Even though she traveled a fair bit for one so young it was always for a reason; to visit family.

Puffing up a little, Zerynthia placed a hand over her chest. "Zerynthia the great lives in Sauti! But she has family in Matori, Oba and Zena!" With as many Aunts and Uncles as she had it was a wonder that they weren't spread out further than that. Maybe one day she'd get to see Belrea and Yael; all she had to do was get rich enough to do it. She knew that with enough gold anything could happen!
