Courtney very much wanted to get a gift for Daphne. For one thing, the other senshi was quite honestly the best friend she had ever had. She was funny, and different and still…really down to earth…which. Was pretty amazing considering she was literally from space. She laughed to herself and entered the store, her eyes roaming around the shelves trying to figure out just what to get for her friend. It had to be something to do with cats, obviously, since they both loved the little creatures…but it had to be as wonderful as Daphne was so…that put a little bit of a strain on it.

Nothing could be as wonderful as her bestie, after all.

Walking to a shelf filled with books, she saw some really cute journals, and almost thought about getting the pastel leopard print one, but instead just moved on, keeping the idea of it in the back of her mind for later, just in case. Honestly, Daphne didn’t seem much of a girl who would journal, so…maybe that would only end up being a waste of money but…still. It was the vibe she was looking for so…she kept it available. Ish.

As Courtney moved deeper into the store, she hummed quietly to herself, finding a lot of stuffed animals that she wanted to purchase because she thought they were cute…like that sheep over there. She…didn’t need the sheep…but the big eyes it had staring at her like it just wanted a home and a hug…for goodness sakes. She was seventeen years old. She didn’t need to go buying herself a stuffed sheep just because it looked sad.

Besides. She was here to get Daphne a gift, and she wouldn’t be able to afford that and the sheep too…so. He would just have to wait for another day, that was all. But…hopefully he would still be here when she had the money...if not…well. It simply wasn’t meant to be.

As she drew nearer to the back of the store, Courtney began to feel rather unhappy at the fact that the perfect gift hadn’t just jumped out at her…she had thought it would be so easy. That she would go in, find something perfect, buy it and give it to her best friend to cause her utter delight…but.

But…

Oh.

There it was. The most perfect gift ever.

A pair of rainbow leopard slippers, complete with the cute little leopard heads on them…this. This was it.

At least Courtney had been right, that she would know the gift the moment she laid eyes on it but…reaching for it, she hugged the slippers close, a brilliant smile forming across her face. Daphne would love this. She didn’t bother checking prices but hurried on to the register, giving the poor sheep plush a silent apology and yet another promise that she would be back, and then made her way home, eager to go patrolling again and give the gift to her friend.
