Elyessi The campfire can be Yonas' or someone else's. Katz will head toward it so she can either run into Yonas on the way or at the campfire. With nothing else to keep her attention Makatza decided she would take a run through the trees. It helped her to get rid of the extra energy that made her antsy, made her feel better, and she generally liked to run. The morning had been filled with her other hobbies and since she'd been to quick to finish most of them she needed to keep busy until later. As she ran Katz kept an eye out for any beast that decided she was prey. Not many mistook her size for food but there were a few that might have the prey instinct activated by her running. She'd learned a good bit while out in the wilderness. Kept her safe. As she passed by a tree she caught the sight of smoke along the tree tops so she slowed down. It wasn't a lot so she knew there was no danger. But it was enough to be from a campfire. Katz just wasn't sure if she wanted to investigate it.

Yonas had been left behind, though he didn't put up much of a fight. His sister was off on another hunt, leaving him to tend to the camp while the others sought food. He had attempted to go on the first one, but after a lot of stress, he knew it was best for him to be where he was at. He wasn't a fighter, nor was he a hunter, so all that left was keeping an eye on the smoldering meats that were curing for the trip back home.
A few of the familiars made a soft noise in the background, and a few wild proscuta found themselves nearing the camp as they munched on the grasses. The quiet boy was content to watch, and a bit pleased to know that the animals were not often targets for hunting. So as he waited, he attempted to lure one of the creatures close, which wasn't the easiest with how skittish they were to keep to the trees. It was challenging enough for him to pass the time as he waited for the party to return in the evening.

Still wanting to run off some energy she made her way toward the smoke that indicated a campfire. Katz was light footed so she would be immediately heard and she was quick. Of course her energy and speed allowed for her to arrive at her destination a bit quicker than she'd thought she would. Which led to her breaking through the tree line and into sight of whoever was there before she could think to slow down. When she realized this she instantly froze in place to look at who was there. It left her in a somewhat funny stance - one foot in front of the other with her toes on the ground in mid step, and her arms lifted like she was still running but locked in place as she dared not move. Makatza even held her breath as she stared at the scene.

The animals were close, munching away at the grasses until suddenly all of their long ears snapped to attention. The seemed to curl back, their short fur standing on end before each one darted off into and up the surrounding trees. Yonas was surprised at first, but quickly realized they must have sensed something.
Maybe a beast or something, as the noise of the woods and the thumping was not something the hunting party would make. But unfortunately, the young man really had no idea how to deal with such a thing, so he stood suddenly and stepped away from the direction of the noise right when Makatza broke through the trees.
Eyes wide, he just blinked back at her, uncertain both at her appearance and the traits of a hybrid Aishan. They really didn't get such creatures this deep into the Tale wood.

The two would remain staring for a bit before Katz could no longer hold her breath. Of course by that time she had determined the person in question wasn't going to attack. At least not right away. So she started to breath again and stood upright before lifting a hand up to scratch a single fingertip over the side of her jaw just under her ear. "Uh, hey." Makatza wasn't sure what else to really say in that instance. It wasn't like she stumbled upon campsites often. Though she was a bit curious about the other person. She had only seen a handful of races so she incorrectly guess them to be a mix of Aishan and Oban. Which Aishan she wasn't sure. It looked like they only had the skin markings.

He continued to study her, taking in her looks and realizing quite quickly she was not of the tribe. While his tribe wasn't very territorial, they had a way about them that most of the locals understood and respected. Sneaking into their hunting grounds of a foolish endeavor, lest you wanted to risk becoming an unintentional hunted. Thankfully for the girl before him, he wasn't a hunter, though his sister surely wouldn't welcome an intruder today.
As she settled into a more casual form, Yonas took a deep breath and attempted to play it cool himself.
"Y-you s-" He paused a moment, swallowing, "shouldn't be here."
Good, his stutter was minimal, maybe she would assume it was simply a surprise causing him to flutter over his words.

She noticed the breath he took before speaking as well as the stutter that occurred but she said nothing about it. Instead she focused on the words. Makatza wasn't supposed to be there? Was there some sort of ban on travelers to the area? Katz looked around and even behind her for some sort of mental recognition of the area she was in to be sure that she hadn't broken some rule. When she couldn't remember any she brought her eyes back to the stranger. "Uh, yeah.. I don't recall being told that or seeing any signs to keep out." Of course some travelling groups just didn't like visitors. Which Katz was starting to think was the case. She looked at the camp instead of the person and then around again before she took a few steps diagonally closer. Makatza was curious. "Are you passing through or plan to stay here?"

His brows furrowed. She was a stranger if she didn't recognize the hunting grounds of the tribe. While not forbidden, many locals knew that this time of year it was not advisable to be around. Less you wanted to risk being faced with arrows raining down in your direction.
"T-this is my t-tribelands." He replied simply, setting his chin at her question, "Our hunting ground."
His gaze became pointed at that, hopefully making it clear why she wasn't permitted to just wander about. It was dangerous.

Hunting grounds? Makatza thought about it. Just how far had she wandered? Considering it had been a good hour or two she likely was outside of her usual area. "Oh. I guess that makes sense why strange people shouldn't be here." Nevermind that she was said strange person. She took the time to look around again. If she was outside of her comfort area then she wanted to at least know where she'd managed to stumble. Now all she needed to do was figure out if she was south or east of where she was supposed to be. "Don't suppose you have a map of your tribelands?" Even if he did it wasn't like he had to show her. Some people liked to keep their boarders secret.

The quiet boy nodded once as she seemed to finally get what he was trying to say, glad he didn't need to keep stumbling along with his descriptions and explanations. At her follow-up question he shook his head twice, no there wasn't really a map or anything. But then he grew a bit concerned, was she planning to race out once more?
As much as he was concerned her being found here, at least he could ensure she didn't get attacked on sight. For her to rush through the woods on her own was something else entirely, and he got a panicked look on his face.
"Y-y-you s-shouldn't leave." He responded, "It's n-not s-s-safe."

Being told she shouldn't leave was confusing. At first it was that she shouldn't be there. Though she was sure both options were unsafe. So Makatza raised her right hand to scratch at the side of her neck gently, just under her hairline. "You also said I shouldn't be here.." She did have to point that out. "So I'm not sure what to do." Her eyes roamed around as she lowered her hand back down. "I don't want to get us both in trouble by me being here. It does seem I went too far away from where I'm usually allowed." Which she was going to get in trouble for later anyways. Once her mother figured out she wasn't within the boundaries she'd been given she was likely going to be given twice as many chores.

His cheeks flushed at her pointing out that he was contradicting himself, and he glanced away in frustration. He didn't blame her for not knowing what to do. He told her she shouldn't be there, but she shouldn't leave. How could he explain this in a way that was understandable. When she added her second sentence, he glanced back startled at the comment, before taking a long breath and letting it out through his nose.
"W-well...you're a-already here...s-s-so...." he shrugged, "You might g-get hurt." He added, glancing out toward the woods around them.

She was taken back by the flush she noticed in his cheeks. Makatza waited for him to look back at her before she smiled a bit. "Won't I get hurt if I'm caught here?" She wasn't sure how his tribe reacted to strangers. Katz turned her head to look at the woods, looking from tree to tree for any signs of someone or something else out there. When she found none she looked back at the boy. "Is it just strangers that could get hurt? Would you be able to walk me back to the border?" If he had safe passage then she might be able to get out without anything happening.

He thought over her question before shaking his head at the comment. It wasn't that he was concerned that she would get hurt by their tribe...often they were welcoming of strangers. It was the fact that she had walked into active hunting grounds, a place where she could be identified as prey.
He took a breath, before shaking his head again.
"There's a-an a-active hunt." He responded, "It's not s-safe." His eyes looked up toward her own, hoping she would understand this one.
"W-we can go back w-when the-y get back."

She waited for his answer, not minding his stutter still. When she got it she nodded her head. It made sense that he didn't want her to go near the active hunting site. She could get hit with an arrow or a spear thrown at her. Makatza was actually thankful she hadn't stumbled into that instead of him. "Makes sense." She motioned toward him, indicating that she'd like to move a bit closer. "Mind if I sit with you until then?" If it made him uncomfortable then she could always stay where she was. Though she was sure sitting on the ground would be uncomfortable. Or maybe even get her bottom a bit damp - depending. "Oh. My name is Makatza." That way he'd have something to call her to explain who she was when his tribe got back from wherever they were.
