Tatakai walked through the town, on his way to the Kamiya Kasshin Ryuu dojo. He knew his training was not quite ready to be consider complete but had been told that soon he would have to set out into the world to learn from other places and learn other techniques. So he wanted to get some last few training sessions in before he headed out into that world, to make sure he had a basis that he felt was suitable for his journey. And for that, he would need several techniques from the school. Once he reaches it, he heads inside to practice the techniques he wanted to master.
First was warming up, practicing the basics like drawing his sword, the various stances of kenjutsu, and working on the form and follow through of his strikes. Once he felt sufficiently warmed up, Tatakai progressed to more rigorous general training, wanting to ensure his level of swordmanship was up to the task before him. This took about half an hour, focusing on ingraining proper form and technique deeply enough that it was reflex. Afterwards, he moved onto actual techniques.
First to practice was the basis of many techniques at the school, Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu. Most of this training was on fast but controlled movement, quickly and skillfully drawing and sheathing his blade properly, and predicting the opponent. Some of this training was alone, and some was with others in practice sparring. He especially worked on techniques that relied upon it, the Battou-Jutsu and Feelings of Ki.
Next was to practice Gatotsu, a thrusting technique that moved fast and accurately. This was practiced alone, repeated the move over and over, ingraining it into his muscles. Afterwards was training in a reserve form of fighting, that of the Tekken technique, which was an unarmed technique that could be used if he ever lost his weapon and needed to defend himself. It was a more brutish style than the elegance of the blade, but just because it lacked elegance did not mean that it lacked use and purpose. One always plans ahead, making sure they had a back up plan in place for situations that one could not forsee.
After training for the day, Tatakai retired to his room in a local inn, reading a good book while drinking a fine tea. One thing he was almost excited for in the outside world was the promise of new books and new tastes of tea. Although he would be lying if he said he was not eager for new opponents and rivals to fight, he knew making sure his training was sufficient was important.
Tatakai resumed training the next morning, making a quick trip to the training grounds. Along the way, he thought of his little sister, who had visited the village their father had been part of, Hidden Katana. The village was known for its masterful craftmanship of katanas and was actually somewhere he wanted to visit once he finished learning the techniques he wanted to learn here, to have a custom katana crafted by them. One that worked with his skills and particular talents. Though he knew that with their father’s blood in their veins, the village would build him and his sister several swords as they get stronger, which would allow for a variety of katanas with each suitable for a different situation.
Once he made it to the dojo, he puts all thoughts of his sister on hold and focuses only on training. As the previous day, he starts his training with a warm up of the basics and flow and form. And once again, when he finished that, he moved on to general training, ensuring his level of swordsmanship was good and that he ingrained proper form and technique deeply into his reflexes. After that was finished, about half an hour of work, he moved on to the actual techniques.
He started with Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu, basis of many of the techniques at the school. Again he practiced fast and controlled movements, proper drawing and sheathing of the blade at high speeds, and predicting his opponent’s movements. The latter part of his training was with a partner in practice duels, while the other parts were practiced alone. He also put some practice into the techniques based around it, the Battou-Jutsu and Feelings of Ki, but only a little. It was best to have the basis technique mastered before moving on to the ones based on it, to ensure that proper form and technique was in place so that the other techniques would have proper form and technique.
Next he practiced Gatotsu again, a thrusting technique that would pierce his foe. This was practiced alone, through repetition training, ingraining the technique into his muscles. This move was the basis for the Hiratsuki, which was actually a follow up to Gatotsu. These moves together will form a fine combination for fights in tight areas.
After that, he practiced a form of fighting to keep in reserve, the Tekken style, as an unarmed technique that could be used if he ever was disarmed or otherwise without his weapon. A much more brutish style than the refined kenjutsu he was learning, what it lacked in elegance it did not lack in use and purpose. As well as the fact that his mastering of it was planning ahead for possible eventualities. It was also the basis for another technique that would help him avoid damage.
After this training, it was time for lunch, which he enjoyed with tea and a book on the villages that he had come across at the academy. After this short break, he practiced the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu again, before winding down his training with a reverse of his warm up, first rigorous general training followed by the basics and practicing flow and form. After this warm down he retired for the day to his room, reading and training his mind, which he would not neglect. Mastery of the body and the sword was nothing if one did not master and train their mind.
Tatakai started his training differently the next day. This day he spent the morning reading. First up was military history and strategy. Up next was a book he had gotten at the Academy about the various villages. Once he had spent the morning reading, he had a light lunch and some tea, then resumed physical training.
Once again the day starts up with warming up, practicing the various stances of kenjutsu and working on the form and flow of his strikes. After he is warmed up, he moves on again to the rigorous general training that he used to ingrain proper form and technique, working on ensuring that they become reflex and unconscious actions to ensure his level of swordsmanship was as good as it could be. He knew that he could never actually master swordsmanship completely, as he got stronger his swordsmanship would be able to get better. But he would never reach his potential if he did not ensure that his from and technique remained correct and proper.
He then resumed his practice of the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu, the basis of so many techniques in the school. This training focused on fast, controlled movements, as well as working on properly drawing and sheathing his sword at high speeds. After practicing these parts of the style alone, he moved to practicing with other in practice spars, so that he could practice the predicting the opponent parts of the style. After that, he practiced the Battou-Jutsu for a while, a technique that branched off from the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu, and the Feelings of Ki, which also branched off of the style.
Next he practiced Gatotsu, a thrusting technique that accurately and quickly pierced the foe, and was good in confined spaces. This was repetition training, practicing the move over and over again to ingrain it into his muscles. After his muscles started to tire, he took a break, watching others practice and using that to further train, memorizing movements so that he could better predict foes off of the smallest of movements.
The final thing he practiced for the day was an unarmed style name Tekken, which would serve him well if he was ever weaponless and needed to fight. It was more aggressive and relied on brute force than the elegant and refined fighting style of swordmanship and kenjutsu, but it had a purpose and use regardless. It was also the basis of a technique that would help him avoid damage.
After training, it was late. So he retired to his room with dinner and a book, but didn’t stay up long before heading to bed, to rest up for the next day of training.
The next morning, Tatakai studies books on the various villages that he had learned of at the academy. He wanted to review what he had learned and see which villages he would like to visit and train at after leaving Feudal Tokyo. He retrieves several books that talked about the villages, spreading them out and pulling out a bound notebook to make notes in.
Feudal Spira was interested, it had simple, yet useful ninjutsu that he could learn and make use of. It had lightning, stone, and wind ninjutsu that were simple and appropriate in many situations. Hidden Stone had several earth based ninjutsu that he would be able to make use of once he expanded his chakra natures. Ones that let him strengthen and weaken things he touched, as well as manipulate the speed of people. Hidden Grass had ninjutsu techniques that would allow him to alter the battlefield and make sure he always had a weapon. Hidden Leaf had many many skills of interest, whether ninjutsu that would allow him to move quickly while hiding his movements, escape from genjutsu, and enhance his weapons, to taijutsu techniques that would serve him while he was unarmed. Hidden Katana would allow him to make himself a blade truly worthy of the name. Hidden Cloud had ninjutsu and kenjutsu that he could make use of, all centered around lightning or the sword. Hidden Mist had a couple of lightning based ninjutsu he could use. Hidden Sand had a ninjutsu that gave him a strong weapon. Hidden Wind had several sword techniques that would increase his mastery of kenjutsu, as well as a few wind ninjutsu techniques. Hidden Steel had a couple of techniques of interest that made use of a blade. Hidden Tree had several sword based techniques of interest.
After making these notes, Tatakai begins his training for the day. He once again starts with warming up, practicing the various stances of kenjutsu and working on flow and form, eventually moving to rigorous general training to work on form and technique, ensuring he always used the correct form and technique when fighting.
After that he worked on the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu, the basis of many techniques. He spent the period focusing solely on the technique, not even practicing the techniques based a little, to ensure he quickly mastered it. After that was practicing of the thrusting move Gatotsu, which was another attack he wanted to master and train. At the end, before his warming down routine, he practiced the unnarmed style Tekken, a more aggressive and brute forced based style, but useful in the correct situations.
After training, he retired to his room for some reading, this time about military history and weapon creation. He had a light dinner and then went to bed for the evening.

Tatakai gets up in the morning, eats a light breakfast, and moves immediately to training. He starts with warming up, practicing the stances of kenjutsu and working on the speed and follow through of his strikes. He also made sure to work on his form plenty. He felt that soon it would be time to leave the village. He takes about an hour on this part of his training. He was reaching close to the point where keeping proper form and technique was purely reflex.
Afterwards, he practiced the basis of many techniques at the school, the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu, a style that focused on fast and controlled movements, fighting with speed more than strength. It also had a focus on using the draw itself as a part of combat, and not just at the beginning. Another part of the style, that he had to spar with others to practice, was that of reading the opponent’s movement and using that to predict their movements. This reading technique of the style lead to the technique known as Feelings of Ki, which Tatakai also worked on learning. The using the drawing of the blade as an attack lead to the technique known as Battou-Jutsu and its partner, the Sheath Follow Up. Tatakai practiced these two moves as well. Having mostly mastered the basics of the style, he focused most of his training on the child techniques.
He didn’t practice Gatotsu and Hiratsuki, feeling that he did not have time to master those and the other techniques he wanted to learn this time. Instead, he moved straight to practicing the Tekken fighting style, a hand to hand style that relied not on speed but brute strength and beating the hell out of the opponent. It was less his style, but would function as an excellent backup in case he was without a sword and as such unable to use the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu. In addition, the child technique of the style that he practiced, Ultimate Endurance, was a powerful defensive technique regardless of being armed or unarmed. Practicing Ultimate Endurance was painful, as it involved getting the hell beat out of you repeatedly while you worked on relaxing and bracing for impact as needed to decrease the impact and force of the blows. Regardless, you can not block everything, and Tatakai finished training that technique feeling beaten and bruised. He finished up his session of training with a warming down routine.
Afterwards, he thought about the villages he had made notes on the previous day. Hidden Katana was at the top of his list, as the powerful swords crafted there were masterful weapons. Hidden Cloud was next, with several ninjutsu, such as Yaiba no Jutsu, Hands of Thunder Technique, and Flickering Light Technique. It also had several kenjutsu, such as Cloud-Style Front Beheading, Cloud-Style Crescent Moon Beheading, and Cloud-Style Reverse Beheading. Next was the Village Hidden in the Leaves, where many, many techniques of interest were found. Genjutsu Release, Strong Arm, Flower Petal Escape, and Body Flicker Skill were of great interest. Afterwards is Hidden Wind Village, located in the Hidden Federation, where techniques like Sword Training, Dragon Hammer, Dance of Blades, Zantetsu, Shiraha Dori, and Modoshi Giri were of interest, among others. Hidden Grass was next, were a couple of techniques, Bamboo Transformation and Bamboo Staff Creation, were of interest. Hidden Sand was next, were the simple technique Sword of Wind seemed quite useful. At the bottom was Hidden Tree, where Sword Play, Dim Mak, Channel, Omnislash, Cross Slash, and Gotsui Tosei were of interest. Of course this list was not an exact itinerary, but a sense of which villages he currently considered more important than others. After the break taken to make these notes, and eating a light lunch, Tatakai resumes training.
He again starts with a warmup practicing form and technique, stances and speed. After the warmup was once again practicing the techniques based on Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu, but not the style itself. He practices Feelings of Ki in spars with fellow swordspeople, and Battou-Jutsu and Sheath Follow Up against practice dummies, with a focus on speed and control. After that he practiced Tekken again, though not Ultimate Endurance, as over doing that training could lead to actual injury that would slow him down. He practiced the unarmed fighting style against more practice dummies, eventually breaking and cracking a couple as he managed to put more and more power behind his strikes. After he practiced these techniques, his parents called him into their home. They told him that they wanted him to visit his sister in Hidden Katana to deliver her a letter from them, as it had been a while since they had seen her, and they wanted to hear from her and see how she was doing. As a good son Tatakai agreed, and even though he did not feel like he had finished his training, set out to Hidden Katana and his sister. He gathered a few travel belongings and gear, and then spent the night resting after a hearty dinner, setting out the next morning to see his younger sister.

Reisi exits the back doors of the Kamiya Kasshin Ryuu, and enters the world of Feudal Tokyo. He spends a while looking around the area, fascinated by the differences from where he was used to. Eventually, he makes his way to the training area of the dojo. Once inside, he trains with the various students, learning the basis of this style of kenjutsu, and the more advanced forms of their swordmanship. This was basic stance training for the most part, with a slight focus on speed and accuracy. He then watches the others train, admiring their different styles. He would learn these styles, and master them, using it in his goal to keep order in the shinobi world.

She shrugged her shoulders slightly and looked around, while her significantly larger wyvern companion snorted a short burst of electricity from it's nostrils while it looked around while walking beside her in the street. The obvious sight of a small six foot dragon walking besides the pink haired swordswoman would certainly draw attention from onlookers in the area, but at this point Tiamat had all but accepted the fact that she was going to do just that. She was hoping to come across a suitable trainer that would instruct her in some new sword fighting styles. After all, she had barely been able to do anything other than charging headfirst into the attacks of the male she had fought during the exams. Now with all these different options of swordsmanship around her, she was extra excited to learn just about everything she could in order to make herself stronger. With that in mind she was not only keeping an eye out for anyone that may appear to be a good teacher, but also anyone she may know. With a well known Kenjutsu village like this, she would not be surprised if she came across any of her known friends while strolling through the busy streets.
The sky seemed to dim to a near-dusk level as the colorless figure, clothed in black, made his way into the village, each footfall heavier than his small frame would imply as he charged foward, unwavering, seemingly ignoring the looks of confusion and fear that took the people of the village at his sudden appearance. He was used to the looks he got anywhere but his own village. In a way, he enjoyed them. It was only proper that the weak should fear death. A reminder of his place in the world, of his duty.
The Chunnin exams had been a bit of an eye-opener for Alyxandr, the experience of defeat a bitter pill to swallow, but necessary medicine to cure the arrogance that had ailed him. He was not the deadliest shinobi in the world. He could be hurt. He had equals in this world. In a way, the feeling was one of relief, when the sting of defeat had faded. He had something to work towards, a goal. If he was indeed a small fish in a big lake, he would need to grow. He was not the avatar of death, not yet, not as he had thought, and there were others in his own village who were capable of defeating him.
Never again.
As he walked, his sword was already in his hand, though he did not recall drawing it. As if the need to kill threatened to flow out of him beyond his notice. He sheathed Heartrender once more as he walked, to the apparent relief of a few closely-watching villagers. He did not intend to begin a slaughter here. These people had not drawn his wrath, and had not earned his justice.
Instead, Alyx simply wandered aimlessly, no real destination in mind, his piercing eyes looking up to meet a stranger here and there, each returning the glare in stunned fear, afraid to look away until Alyx had passed beyond them. When his head was down, and his hood up, Alyx appeared to be little more than a particularly-colorless child, and the surprise at his true nature was clear on everyone who saw him.
Raelyn was not impressed with her own exam score as she had lost the matches that she had been in... one even being a knockout in one attack. Shaking her head lightly she notices that striking pink hair in the distance alongside a large, dragon-like creature. The young girl calling out, "Tiamat! Rikraa!" as she ran towards the unmistakable pair. In her excitement, the Sanada leap into a hug from behind if Tia did not move away from her rushing friend. "I am so sorry that we didn't get to talk in the exams... I was put in a different class..." A happy smile crosses her face as she looks to Rikraa, "... and you little one. You have grown up so much." Raelyn happy to be reunited with her friend, one made in Academy, released her shortly after, "So how was the ramen back in Craftsman? Sorry, that I had to leave so suddenly. Anyway, not that we are together again... Should we work on some swordsmanship?" She pats the hilt of her sword, Raijin, on her hip to kind of show off her new weapon... on top of that her Imperial Broadsword looked to be modified heavily since then.

Tiamat actually stumbling forwards with a yelp as she staggers and attempts to keep her footing, preventing the two of them from collapsing upon the dirt covered ground. "Ah! Raelyn!?" She yells out in surprise, as her wyvern companion bounds to the side and releases a short growl, lightning sparking from it's partially open maw before Rikraa's jaw snapped shut and the aggressive reaction of bristled scales and partially raised wings would return to a more natural arrangement, revealing the entire lack of a threat and acknowledgment of a friend. Tiamat drew herself away from her friend and turned around in order to greet Raelyn more properly as well as begin answering her onslaught of questions and statements that she was quickly and excitedly being bombarded with. "It's Ok! It's Ok! I figured you were around somewhere; did you pass? I did!" She said with a grin while patting the head Rikraa who had walked over to seat themselves beside Tiamat. "It was delicious! They closed up pretty quick though cause of the attacks or whatever had happened. By the time I was heading out though, they had already pretty much ended. So that was a good thing for me at least, I don't think the two of us were ready for a full on war or anything." She said while looking down at Rikraa and moving her hand to rub under the dragon's chin. "That's exactly why I'm here! I just cant decide what I want to learn. Everything I've seen so far just looks like it would be so useful, I want to learn everything that I can!" She says, excitement clearly rising up in her voice as she glances past Raelyn towards the different swordsmen that were all showing their arts down the street she had just been walking down.
Reisi continues training some, mastering the basics of the swordfighting here before progressing to anything else. He mastered each of the kenjutsu stances one at a time. His favorites were Chudan no Kamae, the stance of water, and Gedan no Kamae, the stance of earth. Both defensive stances. Eventually, as he continued training, he reached the point of having mastered the basic swordsmanship of this dojo and moved on to more advanced techniques. After a while he stops working on those and heads into the main part of the village to get food. On the way, he passes by what he immediately recognizes as s Death Eater. He gives a respectful nod to the Death Eater, not afraid of him because he didn’t fear death. “Good evening, fellow Shinobi. Weird what just happened with the sky, isn’t it?” Reisi’s tone makes it clear he figured the Death Eater had something to do with it.

In a quiet corner of the Feudal Japan village sat a young adult, dreamily staring off into space as he tossed small fistfuls of seed to a gathered flock of pigeons that had gathered around him. Though around him was a maelstrom of coos and wings, he seemed not to even see the birds around him, staring off down the street, as if his mind were in some far-off place. Kotaru had been wandering around this village for a few days now, no real aim in mind. He had seen a lot of other shinobi here, many of them recent graduates from the Chunnin Exams, he knew. He, himself, had passed his own exams months before, and had regrettably been neglecting his training since.
Though Feudal Tokyo was a good place to learn techniques, he was not here to train either, content to sit here and there, sipping tea and feeding birds.
Eventually, however, the seed ran out, and Kotaru stood up lazily, taking a moment to stretch his back as the flock of birds dispersed at the sudden and unexpected movement from the until-now quite still shinobi of the Hidden Steel.
Still with no destination in mind, he began to walk down the street, taking a moment to smile here and there at passers by, taking a few extra moments if they were pretty. So far, it was shaping up to be another good day in this place, so far from his home.
He passed several groups of training shinobi, some in dojos, others simply in clearings or under some trees, all working on their martial arts. In some way, he envied their drive. He couldn’t be bothered to work so hard to increase his rank, when there was so much more interesting work to be done. That, too, could wait.
Instead, he found his way to a little tea shop, a new favorite, and took his normal seat by the window, waiting to be served. He had ordered the same tea every time he had been there, and so he didn’t have to say a word before his oolong was at his table, steaming, and with honey on the side.
Waiting for it to cool, he stared wistfully out the window.
The Death Eater leaves without showing any notice of Reisi. The sky would lighten as he left. Reisi would continue on his way, unbothered by being ignored. He would find an inn to spend the night in, eating dinner, reading a book, and sleeping the rest of the night. The next morning, he gets up and heads to the training dojo again to resume training in the sword techniques of this village. He practices the basics, then makes his way through each of the kenjutsu stances one at a time, moving from defensive to aggressive. After the warm up and basics review, he moves on to the more advanced techniques he could learn at the dojo. The first was a technique that was designed for quick strikes, predicting the opponent, and strike multiple foes at once, with a technique known as Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu. He also practiced an iaijutsu technique, one intended to strike unexpectedly and before the opponent could react. Battou-Jutsu, it was named. Finally, he practiced a piercing technique that also relied on lightning fast speed, known as Gatotsu. After practicing these techniques, he takes a break, watching others train and reading a book about swordspeople of history among the villages. Eventually, after training here for a while, he will return to his home of Feudal Amestris and train in more techniques of his village. He needed to train his blade before he continued learning the arts of sealing away his opponent’s abilities and techniques, especially sealing away things like the tailed beasts, curse seals, and orochi powers.

It was great seeing her friend in this strange, new world. This village seems right in place with some from their own world. A bashful flush crosses her face as Tai asks about her experience in the previous exams. “I… I passed, but I don’t really understand how… I had to have failed my combat test.” She was not going to go into detail over her failure. Raelyn rubs the back of her head as she smirks up to Tiamat as talks about wanting to learn the sword styles in this village, “Yea, I am thinking what dojo to join as well. What do you think fits my style more, Tai-chan?” She could see her learning and using quite a few styles due to her combined use of her dual swords. Her custom Imperial Broadsword looking so much different than it had before the Chuunin exams. Soft lavender eyes looking to the side, “Maybe I can train with you in every style. I also know Hidden Katana has its own style as well… so we can jump there once we master the styles here. What ya think?”

Soon she realizes that Raelyn was asking her a question about which style would be suitable to her. She frowned slightly as she looked away at nothing in particular in order to seem if a decision would come into play. A few moments of science and she shakes her head slightly and turns and looks back at Raelyn once again. "I have.. No idea! There is just way too much to choose from. So learning everything we can learn we should learn it here.. And then absolutely we are going to Hidden Katana to grab their specialty style!" She says as the grin she had before returns across her face once again and she practically leaps at the thought of all the training they were going to be going through at any moment now. She had a rough idea of where they should start, seeing as it appeared based on the limited signage in front of the different training areas, that they had to go through a basic training of sorts first in order to either learn what it was that it meant to be a sword master, or at least reveal how talented they were in order to prove they were ready to learn from the actual different trainers that were everywhere around here.
