She was relaxing under a tree on her sister's property. It was nice once in a while to visit, todays schedule involved fishing, a passtime that their adoptive father had instilled in both of them at a young age. Rista had always been determined to outdo her older sister and with fishing their skills were about equal. Nin smiled at the memories and wondered if they would get up to similar hijinks today.

She had scurried into the house to go grab her rod and tackle roll before racing out the door, yelling at Umen that she was GONE FISHING, and not to bug her unless one of the kids set themselves or him or the house on fire before streaking out over the lawn. She adored fishing and Nin was usually so busy now that she didn't get all that much time with her. She soaked it up when she could and helped on the farm where her talents were lent. Usually with simple beast taming stuff as Umen had more skill than she there.

Nin patted the ground for her sister, a choice spot with a tree's branches overhanging the bank as a source of shade. It made casting a bit difficult but it was still a managable thing. "That didn't take you very long sister." She smiled at Rista, excited to spend some quality time with her.
"I'm sorry I have been so busy! Its well, its spring and there are babies and eggs and screaming, yelling and calling everywhere, and I do believe it has started to affect the people too, Ushi and Sae have been doing an awful lot of 'hunting' and usually they bring more back then they do." She waggled her eyebrows at her sister.

"Seeing more grandoffspring on the horizon are we?" She paused. "Any news on Elaxi?" She asked as she sent her hook out over the water to soak in the drink. She had put some stinky bait she had pilfered from the feed bucket for Umen's Zore experiments. It should catch hecking fish if size was equal to stench.
"How long has it been?" They had never stopped looking and now it was getting sorta desperate. She was out there somewhere they could all feel it. The alternative was too hard to contemplate. Elaxi was worth way more alive with how pretty she had been.

"Too long, we have sent out further calls for help, so hopefully we will at least get a clue soon." She was tired. But she would never stop until Elaxi was home and safe and cosseted as she should have been for a very long time.
"Fate works in mysterious ways, I hope she finds her way back to us soon." A fish tugged experimentally on her line and she froze waiting for the second tug. "There is action down there at least."

“You will find her sis we are all still looking for her.”
She couldnt imagine what Nin was going through. Elaxi was one of the hearts of the family. For the most part their family was full of dominant personalities.
But Elaxi and Honi were the sweet ones, not without their own strength but a marked difference from the rest of the crazy family.

After the first nibble they had, the fishing action had died down. She looked at Rista. "Maybe if we change our bait up some? They seem to be awfully sleepy today, usually the stinky stuff works, so maybe if we try a flashy lure that they cannot get a good wif of?" She pulled in her line and examined the hunk of stuff on there. "Not much taken either." She tossed the nasty bait into the water and switched out the simple hook with a lure that when dragged through the water would twist and flash its bright metal sides. The blacksmiths always gave her bemused looks when she gave them the patterns for different lures.

She agreed with her sister and also changed her own bait, they would step away from the tree to send out casts so that it didn't tangle the line. "I adore fishing, we should make this a bimonthly thing. Make a point of it so life doesn't just sweep us away." She smiled at her sister. "I wonder how Dad is doing on his far flung adventures. I still miss him, no matter how old we get.
Isolder had gone on walkabout for a few years, looking for his family still no doubt.

“I know we will too,” There was nonother option for her. They had been casting for a bit when the lines started lighting up and they were gleefully catching quite a few fish. For Nin there were few feeling better in the world than landing a fish, besides getting a hug from a grandbaby or helping a mother animal give birth successfully.
She felt like a teenager again when she got to hang out with her sister. Rista was so beautiful and the years had barely touched her fair Iceling skin. Though if she had had 7 children Nin bet she would look a bit more worn. Rista had started she had had two.

"You know what would make today even better?" Rista said with absolute glee in her voice. "Alcohol! Here hold my rod!"
She ran up to the house, confident that her sister could handle two fish at once if need be.
She rustled around in her stores cupboard and dug out some wine before racing back with two bottles and some glasses.

She cheered as her sister came back with the goods. She accepted the glass that her sister gave her and helped her pour the first cup of wine.
"To greater family adventures in the near future!" She was sure that her sister was not done having children and that there would be more nieces or nephews in the nearish future.
They would find their lost one and protect her forever!

"To kids growing up and leaving the house less of a mess!" Ultear was almost old enough to leave home after all! Then she would just have Umen to herself! Well depending on what her other son did.
Rista took a sip for both toasts as did her sister. They paused to real in a fish or two before coming up with more reasons to take a drink.
She smiled brightly as they compared their catches, she hadn't had this much fun in such a long time.

The party was well on its way when the sun sank from the sky, they had fished the pond all day and had quite a few fish available for dinner and some left over for salting and preserving.
They divided the catch equally, doing what they used to do when they were younger and pooled their catch before picking their share in turns. They did this one fish at a time. When they were finished they packed the fish in little bundles. A really enjoyable and productive day.

"Won't you stay for dinner? The boys are going out so it would just be me and you."
She wasn't really looking forward to eating alone. What better way than to spend time with your sister? They had fished all day , but there was still so much more to tlak about. She picked up her fish package and headed for the house.
"What about a bit of fried fish?" It was a classic that they both knew how to cook.

"Oh I would love to stay for dinner, Kiyelt can handle the house, the kids will help him feed the lot." This was turning into such a special visit. "We really mist do this more often.!"
It was so good to get out of that house and ranch for a while, where she didn't have to be anything more than herself.
"I am having an absurd amount of fun. I feel like I can actually breath out here." Anyone who needed a beast healer could just find one that was available.
