Alastor had been busy of late, making what meetings and arrangements he could. Given what he’d seen of Destiny City and how busy he’d heard it was, it wasn’t surprising to him that he would run into a new face here and there.

His ability to get lost easily meant that he was always winding up somewhere new–the important thing was making sure that he didn’t wind up in trouble.

Eternal Sailor Alastor could easily pass for any other Senshi; outwardly, he gave no indication that he wasn’t just any other Earth Senshi.

Selinur, on the other hand, he immediately recognized as inhuman.

His features were almost familiar, though he couldn’t quite place from where.

So, Alastor approached with caution, and when the other Senshi seemed to notice him, he caught his eye and nodded. “Alastor,” he introduced, right to the point. Rank was unnecessary, sphere was irrelevant. He didn’t like being known as the Senshi of Despair, not when it was all anyone could focus on.

“I hope you’ll forgive the bluntness. You’re not from here, are you? Did you arrive with that light?”

He didn't like looking like a human, even if he could now thanks to Ash, he didn't like losing his ears and tail just like he'd lost his senses on this planet. They were so dull he wondered how humans survived, though he supposed they didn't need sharp senses really. This planet was easy to live on in that aspect, it didn't requier a person to hunt for their own food or to hear people whispering a room over though the vents. He'd sensed someone coming, an auora of a senshi who had hit eternal, it wasn't a surprise when they made their approach. But they seemed to know what he was, he assumed they'd met others like himself, so he nodded once.

"Selinur." It was a nice and easy intoduction, from the other and himself, he liked that. Why did he need to tell everyone his sphere? He was a senshi and really that should be all that mattered, unless in a battle where knowing peoples magic could be very useful.

"You are correct on both accounts. And you know this how?" They looked like most other people he'd seen on this planet. Was something off about them? Looking them over, without actually walking around them, he didn't notice anything off about them.

Selinur. It was familiar, even if Alastor couldn’t immediately place it. It was like having a puzzle piece but not knowing where it was supposed to go. It was something, at least.

And, more than just a name, he’d found someone who had something in common with him.

Alastor had been used to traveling, used to seeing other worlds and interacting with other people, but since he’d arrived here on Earth, there was none of that. Not that he was complaining; Earth had been good to him. For the most part.

But, still.

He supposed Selinur didn’t need him to describe how differently he looked compared to the humans here, So Alastor answered the more reasonable question. “I saw it, too. I didn’t know what it was, but it brought me here. I didn’t know how far it stretched or what its purpose was. It was winter here when I arrived, how long have you been on Earth? If you don’t mind my questions.”

"Summer and our homes are close enough - both within this system." He answered slowly, measuring his words and deciding just what to say. The other clearly didn't know him, or his home, and that wasn't a bad thing. His planet, thankfully, had never been figured out for their spying nature. Though there had, of course, been the whisper here and there about the cosmos buut no proof ever. They'd kept their secrets well all this time...and everyone just thought them a resort planet which played kind, giving, host to everyone and it had worked.

"I didn't see a light. I felt the energy and a call to leave - to go someplace else. It was the light you saw." He'd been underground at the time so he'd not been able to see any such light.

"I've heard winter will be cold, bitterly so perhaps." And he was awaiting it, he needed the snow and the cold. He wished it would hurry and arrive, though he'd heard the fall was a lovely sight as well. So far the n** in the air was nice...but not exactly what he needed and missed about his own home.

Alastor kept his expression still as he listened to Selinur. If he felt any emotion one way or the other, he hid it expertly. As the other senshi spoke, he crossed his arms over his chest and leaned back just a bit.

“I see,” he said, and took a few seconds to comb through the lengthy log of distant memories, long since buried for irrelevance.

And then, it clicked.

He remembered stories of a frozen world. Selinur did not seem opposed to the upcoming chill, and he spoke with a sort of distant reserve. Like he was keeping secrets.

He’d heard rumors, of course, that there was more to the world than they let on. He’d never conducted any business there; he preferred to be more direct, but something of an understanding finally presented itself on Alastor’s face.

“And how has your time on Earth been treating you? I’m surprised to find you here. Are you not more comfortable back home?”

"Earth's summer is too warm and the cities are too loud, to packed, and there isn't enough of nature to be found." Though he had certainly found the woods around the city...and a very interesting alien hiding behind a bubble in those woods. That last bit though was his secret, and he knew the other wouldn't tell anyone that Selinur had come onto him.

"I've found a senshi here, born here, to assist me in learning my way around this planet." Ida was helping him a lot, more than she needed to, but he appreciated the help and a roof overh is head. He might be used to living underground but he couldn't go doing that here, there was no way on this planet and in this city, he was stuck living out in the open where he was honestly more vunerable than he liked to be. His people were secrative and close knight...they kept themselves and each other safe underground where they lived - where they were home.

"I would be but it's hard to run a resort planet, known for it's winter activities, when the planet is not so cold any more." It was also hard when no one was left alive on the planet to run things either, no one to play host to whoever lived in the cosmos still. He was, and would forever, be greatful to the merchant for the necklace he'd bestowed upon Selinur. It was beyond useful for him.

Alastor resisted the urge to hum agreeably as he listened. Selinur spoke, but he didn’t necessarily say anything. Alastor supposed that’s what happened when you were used to keeping secrets. He understood that.

But, he liked to think he had a decent idea of what secrets he should keep close to his chest and what were safe to wear on his sleeve.

“What’s happened to Selinur?” he asked, crossing his arms over his chest and tilting his head just slightly as he regarded the other senshi curiously.

Now that was a loaded question, at least for him, did he admit to his planets ruin and that it had been their own fault? Did he admit that the keeps of secrets, those who held knowledge above nearly all else, were destroyed by it? That their own greed to invite even more people to their planet, to cater to everyone, had been their very downfall.

It wasn't exactly what he wanted to admit to and so he wouldn't. He would provide information though, because maybe his fellow ancient could help him in some way. "We warmed up too much - too fast. Everyone and everyone is dead from it." No mention of the virus which had broke out of the ice and infected people - everyone. No mention of the bodies he'd had to burn on his own, when no one else was around to do it. Somehow his planet had kept him safe, immune, from the virus and so it had become his task to burn the dead as was custom. He'd been the only person to send them off to the couldron with proper rites given to them.

He'd carried the dead bodies to the pyres and set them ablaze, watching in silence as their bodies were consumed. He'd soaked in the warmth while feeling guilt for doing so. "And your homeworld?" He questioned the other now, wanting and needing to know what had happened to another planet. To find out the fate of as many as he could.

The briefness of Selinur’s answers inspired the desire for secrecy with his own. Alastor juggled the thought, torn briefly between the privacy to reflect Selinur’s, or the honesty that might yield him answers.

In the end, it wasn’t a difficult choice. Selinur’s selective answers were of his own accord, and Alastor was trying to save his world, not shroud it in mystery.

“Storming. Badly. There’s a heavy Chaos in the air and I’m looking for the means to eradicate it. My world’s in a sorry state, and the faster I can destroy the Chaos, the faster I can work on recovery efforts. Hard to say how many are left to help me, I’ve been on my own for a while. But I’ve been asking around here, trying to get information. I want to have a solid plan before I strike. I can’t risk recklessness, not with the state of things.”

"The senshi and knights here are too divided from what I've heard, and noticed." It was why chaos had won everywehere else, from what he'd heard, and it was why so many senshi and knights couldn't beat them back here. At least they could take over and hold this city, even if chaos converged on this city. They could at least try - rather than this stalemate which seemed to be have taken hold of this city. "Chaos in the air and storms..." Trailing off, letting the words hang in the air for moments, a sentence unfinished.

"Do you have an idea on how to fight the chaos or how to fix the weather? Or will it fix itself once the chaos is defeated?" Was there anything to defeat, as far as chaos went, there wasn't aybthing physical there he assumed - not like here. Here there were actual people to fight and an entity which they answered to. Did he mean chaos like here or the usual use of the word chaos?

"I would take a storm on my planet." It might help with the dryness of his planet, with the soil being empty and devoid of life. But he'd prefer it in the form of cold rain, ice cold, or snow.

"We have all been on our own for a long time - those of us who arrived recently." Who had not been reborn here, like so many had been.

"What information are y ou looking for? Perhaps I can help..." Perhaps he could find that information for the other, and maybe it would help himself as well. He did agree though - they couldn't be reckless. There was a whole planet on the line and being reckless, and going in without information, was risking far too much. It was another reason why knowledge was so prized by Selinur and had been by his people as well.

Alastor suspected again that he might have had the advantage of information compared to some of the others. He kept a lot to himself, and there were some things said to him that he didn’t quite agree with. Still, it was a different experience from everyone. Different lives. He tried not to be too critical.

“From where I come from, the Senshi and Knights weren’t exactly particularly unified either.” In some ways, he preferred to work alone. He knew himself. He could trust himself. Everyone else…

He was trying.

Trust didn’t always come easily.

“There were always storms on my world, but they weren’t like this. This is worse. I don’t think you’d like my storms on your world. I can’t tell you how many villages have been wiped off the map.”

How many lives had been washed away. How many places had been destroyed.

“I’m looking for any information to help me defeat the Chaos on my world. I don’t know if it’s tied to the storms, but I suspect it’s all tied together. I think my world is sick and lashing out. I think the Chaos is poisoning it and it's lost control.” He suspected it was all tied together.

Could he prove it? No. But he was going to try and remove the Chaos, anyway.

“I don’t think it can stabilize as long as the Chaos is there. So I’m going to find it, and destroy it. Just trying to make sure I stand the best chance against it. Not all Chaos is made the same.” Apparently. “I don’t want to go in without a good plan.”

He had a plan.

He just needed to make sure it was the best one he could come up with before he made his move.

"I will agree, as we've seen on this planet. Not all chaos is the same. On your planet it is, as you assume it to be, storms and terrible weather. Here it is actual people." That was not something his planet suffered from, if only it were people and something physical which he could fight and destroy. It would be easy. Weather and things like that weren't physical and couldn't be beaten and killed. They were different and had to be dealt with in an entierly different manner.

Why would knights not be unified? On his planet the knights who lived, and served, the planet were unified. perhaps it was the culture though. His people were tight knit and close, with each other at least, and worked well together. Even if people didn't get on well or had a grudge it was set aside when it needed to be - they understood when something was important. But knights on his planet were bonded in a way...bound by duty and shared experiences they told some of the best stories, especially about places they'd had to visit. They also had some of the best information to add to the collection of Selinur.

"When you make your move - I'll be there. Chaos is the enemy we all share - it must be destroyed at all cost." And he would help in doing so, because every victory was a step close to the peace the cosmos had once enjoyed. Not everyone got along, of course, and there were fights and wars...but it was more peaceful than it was now and less dangerous seeming. Now it all seemed darker and more hostile.

"Perhaps bringing people there, many peopel, will provoke it enough to show itself - to show where it is coming from. If it does than you know where to strike. I doubt it will like so many showing up." If it had a mind of it's own anyway. "You'll need many allies to help." After so long there was no doubt it was strong, he knew it was powerful on his own planet as well.

On Alastor’s world, the chaos was a poison. It was more than just weather and storms; it was a plague that spread across the land. It was a sickness that seeped into the ground. It was a disease that ate away at everything that it could, and brought out the worst in everything.

But, he didn’t correct Selinur; chaos was chaos, and it was rampant and destructive.

“I appreciate it. I know I’ll need help, that’s why I’m asking. Trying to get as much information as I can, too, but I don’t know that there’s more out there. It’s hard to be prepared for something that everyone experiences differently.” Or hadn’t experienced at all. He wasn’t upset that his brand of chaos hadn’t been making rounds, but it didn’t help him know how to handle it any better.

“But, I’m confident. I’ll do whatever I have to if it means taking out the chaos on my world.”

And all worlds, if he had his way.

"Chaos will do it's best to survive - and thrive. If that means changing, from place to place, it will." It would change itself and thus the rules in how to remove it. It would make it harder to destroy and more likely for it to win - they couldn't allow it. "I may not have my wings here." In fact he was back to being at his weakest. "But I will do whatever I can to assist you. The more information we can find out about the chaos on your planet, whilst we battle it, the easier it may be to help others out." There might be similarities even if it wouldn't be exactly the same. Anything they could gain which could be used to help in the future was a plus.

He would be there each time chaos was fought in space, every senshi's battle would be like his own, so he could learn and write down the information later. Whatever form it took and however it operated, he would keep his notes about it and hopefully it would come to use at some point.

"How did it start on your homeworld? If you don't mind me asking." To learn how it had started, what the order of events was, maybe there was a pattern to be discovered there eventually. It was more information gained either way though. He wanted to know what he could.

Alastor pressed his lips together and shook his head. “I don’t know how it started,” he confessed, and there might have been a hint of anger or frustration in it. Not at Selinur, just in himself. “There were a few years when I wasn’t at my best. I think, maybe things started to get worse then, but I didn’t see it. Sometimes, there were storms. But those had never been abnormal on my world. Storms, debris falling out of the sky, flooding–these things used to be common on Alastor. But, we found a way to correct that. And then, slowly, they started to come back. It took years–centuries, probably.”

He planted his hands on his hips and shook his head. “It was a slow process. Once, I found the chaos–rooted in the Hall of the Ancients. My home,” he explained. “I chased it out, but I didn't know that wasn’t enough to destroy it. So it planted itself, it hid. It grew. It poisoned the land. The shadows started to stretch, I suppose that might have been the start. The clouds rolled in one day and wouldn’t leave. And the forests grew darker. The ground was less fertile. People got sick. Crop yields lessened. The shadows would swallow people up, and then when they stopped going too close to the forests, the shadows came to get them.”

He didn’t know how much of it was myth or legend. It had been a long time since he’d had someone from his world to talk to about it, though.

“By the time it really manifested, it had already taken root everywhere, it was involved in everything. You couldn’t even feel it until it was too late.”
