After spending a wonderful night with her husband she had talked him into going on a date with her. Not that he needed much convincing.
So now she was dragging him along behind her, his hand in hers, as they walked up some rather sketchy looking steps. The safety wall on the one side was crumbled and useless and some of the steps were cracked and looked like they would give out at any second. Thea paid no mind to the steps though. She'd gone up and down them enough times to trust them.
Theanduri was leading him to a nice little spot she'd discovered after a job a few years ago. It was where she went to relax before she went home. "Come on, just a bit more.."

Rydan looked askew at the steps but relied on Thea's confidence to make them continue to hold their combined weight. Thea was light but strong, he was strong but heavy, really heavy.
But it was an interesting side trail and he was excited to see a little more of Oba, he spent alot of his time in Matori and he had needed a break, something different, something new. Dates were the best thing ever, especially now that their kids were old enough to run around and terrorize other people, from the look on Iexa's face half the time now he might have a girl. Rydan was very suspicious.
"Should we pop in on Lynx while we are here?"

"We can visit him later if you'd like. He's been hanging around Dovi's forge in the evenings." So that would mean she could also see her brother too. When they reached the top she pulled Rydan along. Earlier she'd come up to make sure everything was still clean and so she could stash a small basket with food in it. Thea's eyes sparkled as she looked out over the rooftops of the Oban city. With the sun setting the sky was slit up in oranges and pinks. She looked back at her husband and smiled. "You like it?" Was she a little nervous he wouldn't like her favorite spot? Yes. It might look like it needed to be fixed up but the view was amazing in her opinion.

He gazed out with wonder over the rooftops and perpetually moving city. He had gotten used to cities over time with Thea's help. She had taught him how to adapt and survive in the urban jungles of Oba.
"I do like it, it looks a bit like a living map from up here and we also get a great view of the sky and any birds that fly by." He spent a lot of time in one spot for his job, watching metal not the outdoors, so breaks like this were always more than welcome.

A large smile spread over her face as she looked at him. Thea was more than pleased to hear he liked it. "This is where I come after a job. It helps me to unwind and relax before I go home." She figured she could let him in on the secret. The oban hybrid knew that he would never think she had seen it with someone else but she still liked to reassure him. "I actually found it by accident. I was running from some guards in my younger years and this was the perfect place to hide." A small laugh escaped her at the memory. With a small tug to his hand she pulled him over so that they could sit on the clean, flat rooftop next to the basket she'd hidden there for them.

"We will have to make a similar place for you in Matori, this is very neat, I see why you like to come here." He looked around and decided he would find a few potted plants to liven the place up a bit, life was better with plants. He smiled as she guided him around. He loved when she brought him secret places, he felt like a large kid again and it was such a good feeling. "Thank you for showing me Thea." He thought about the cave he used to live in with his friends on a cliffside and thought that one day he might be able to bring her there too.

She scrunched up her nose a bit at the idea of having a place similar in Matori. "Wouldn't be the same. I like the cityscape." While their home was great it didn't have the great big cities like Oba did. At least, not on the same scale. When they were seated she pulled the basket closer to them and opened it for him so he'd know he was free to eat what was inside. Though it was mostly fruits and nuts since she hadn't planned to have a full meal up there. "You are lucky I love you enough to share it with you." She grinned at him. This spot was her little secret that she didn't want to give to anyone else but Rydan was different. And since he was in Oba again.. why not let him see it.

That was fair enough, Matori had its own charm. But even beautiful could get monotonous at some point, hence travel.
"I'm lucky you love me enough to share your life with me, remember when we first met and we were curled up on that beach chair together? That is one of my favorite memories."
In fact nearly all of his memories with Thea were good. Though he did fret something terrible the nights when she was in labour. But that was a natural Dad/Husband thing.
He dipped his hand into the snacks, "Excellent snacks Thea, you planned ahead." She was sharing something very special with him.

She couldn't help but laugh at him. "I remember when we first met and you were dangling from a tree." Thea smirked at him. She loved that memory the most. It had been her first time meeting him and he'd gotten caught in a trap. "I can't let my tree dragon starve." She leaned against him and looked out over the city, a content sight leaving her. "You know, I miss our dates. You work too much." So did she, honestly. Thea had taken time off years ago when they'd first gotten Siofra and Arkadios but it had been so long ago.

"I do, but," he snuggled closer, "I'm starting to see the error of my ways, maybe i will change the type of jobs I take, more high end less horse shoes and see where that gets us. Less work, more money, more travel and savings." He could specialize in jewellery for a while, maybe he could get Zasha to go find the raw material for him and he could polish and set the stones in metal. "I couldn't think all that great in the snare, all the blood was in my head and none in my feet."

A grin played across her face. Getting to have him home more would be great. And she had always said that he should work on more high end things. While the smaller work was good too she thought his talents were wasted on simple horseshoes. "Was still funny to see you dangling there." A giggle left her. "I will make sure to tell that story to any future kids we have as well. Its too funny not to share." And children always asked how their parents met.

"Ours was Zasha's favorite bedtime story for years! She made me tell it to her every night or she refused to sleep, I'm pretty sure that Zohra was ready to puke after hearing it so much." Their poor son. The twins had moved out by then pretty much, coming home to visit, eat and then off to disapear again. "At least they didn't want to also be beast charmers." Thea had a pet rule, a good one.

"Yes.. She did so love hearing 'So there I was.. dangling from a tree!'" Thea chuckled and shook her head. "I think Zohra is likely to roll his eyes right out of his head if he has to hear it again." She had to agree that their youngest was so done with the story. "Oh thank the gods. I can't live with a damned farm." She refused to have big animals in the house. "Still not sure what Zohra is gonna be."

" I have a strange feeling that he will go the magic route, like a sorcerer or something of the like, he just has an air about him, and I could be wrong but thats the sort of sense I get, though I didn't know that Iexa was going to follow Lynx as a tamer so maybe I'm not the best judge after all. Rydan popped an almond into his mouth and crunched it happily. She always figured out the perfect food for any occassion. It was one of her lesser known talents in his opinion. "I could also see him with a bow or as an artisan type, maybe he will make his own job or something?"

She thought about the options tossed out and nodded. She could see them working for their son. "Oh wait no.. no bow. Can you really see him doing that with how fussy he is over his clothes?" Thea gave him a side glance before she snickered. "Maybe I should get ink on his shirts and see what happens." Was she the type of mother to play pranks on her children? Yes. She liked getting them worked up once in a while. It kept them on their toes. "You may be right about the magical route though. Zasha kind of did that too." Which she was happy with. It meant no more animals.
