Rydan 1

It had been a while, but they were back in Oba and he enjoyed being there. It was a refreshing change and he got to see some of Thea's family. He would have to get a hold of his hermit parents one of these days. A whole heap had happened to him since leaving the coalition with Ruulu and Tsallin. Who knew what had happened to them. He occassionaly thought about the past but for the most part he was imbedded in the present. He was taking a bit of a break from the forge to travel around and explore. He had savings and the kids were all doing well so he didn't feel pressured into working.

Idly he lounged in the shaded pool which kept his body temperature at a happy level, sipping fruit juice he wondered where Thea had gotten off to. Oba was her real habitat after all.

"Not at all Lady, do you come here often?" He drawled, lowering his voice on purpose. She was snugged up against his side and as always her touch set him on fire. He felt life force flow into him from her.

He wrapped an arm around her and offered his drink to her. "Lovely day ain't it?"

From the sparkle in her eye she was up to no good and it had him curious. He didn't worry too much about her because what she got into she usually got out of.

"He won't beat me up for cuddling with his gorgeous wife will he?" Rydan faked looking concerned, then leered at her.

"Better be careful girly, might get more than you expected," He nuzzled into her neck, inhaling deeply of her light perfume.

He noticed her looking around and made a point of not also looking. She would let him in on the game at the right time. He trusted her.

"So this husband of yours, is he big? Scary?"

"Well maybe I want to risk it," he placed light kisses all along her jaw and wrapped both arms around her pulling her close. He had forgotten whatever she had been looking at, immersed in their game of intrigue.

"What was your name again Mrs?" He slid a little lower in the pool and looked up at her.

"Must be something beautiful. Oban and Talean yeah? A great mix if I do say so myself, you know I have some Alk blood, and you know what they say about alk hybrids as lovers, if you want to maybe give it a shot?"

He felt sorry for anyone within hearing. He might get hauled off her by someone who didn't realize it was all an elaborate illusion.

"Because he uses his head not just his hands?" Rydan tickled her ribs under the water, and tugged on her ear with his teeth. She was going to dunk him in that water he was sure.

"Because he is a good man? Unlike me? Poor sod." He was laying it on thick. But that was the whole darn point. Thea was going to be in sooo much trouble tonight though, when there were not personel around. He was so looking forward to it.

He shivered, wondering if she had eaten anyone's liver for teasing her like he was. She was hella scary when she wanted to be and he adored that about her. He made the sharps and she used the sharps, not always did they come back, so he made more.

"I'd bleed for you baby." He patted the knife hand gently. "I appreciate your consideration."

She was so sexy, even with cold metal pressed into his ribs..he was also more ticklish than she and she knew it. He used strong mental fortitude gained from hours over hot fire to not move.

Rydan choked. How could she! She ruined the game. He was blushing and horribly uncomfortable trying to extricate himself from the lovely fire/wind hybrid. She was pretty sure but he didn't even see other woman at this point, there was only Thea for him.

He sighed. "I'm sorry I am not available." He got out of the water wrapped himself in three towels and scurried off to their room. Freedom! Thea could find him, he laughed.

Rydan lurked behind the door, gathering his dignity as he lurked and waited for his wife, away from industrious, prospecting ladies.

Evil, that had been evil. He grinned. She was totally going to get it. He sprawled on the bed, his head propped on his hand and on his side, displaying his fine self. He had tasteful clothes on now.
