Lopezite teleported her in the blink of an eye. One second, she was about to come face to face with two Captains, the next she was on a peaceful hill on the other side of Destiny City with no Negaverse energy signatures.
Well.
Except for his.
Lopezite let of Targovishte's arm go and took a step back before giving her a look. “I understand if you’re in a rush, but you need to be more careful. You should really pay more attention to where you’re going. You can’t just run off like that. If I’d wanted to hurt you, you left your whole back exposed. Really, are they teaching you nothing?"
He sighed and took a step back, maybe to give her a little bit of space. He suspected she was already shaken given how quickly she was trying to run away from him, but it was all on her for running off and risking getting into more trouble. He looked her over; he knew teleportation could feel a little weird, whether you were the one doing it or if you were the one being dragged along. "Are you all right?”

Targovishte knew that this was how she was going to die. If only she could have died when the floor gave way back on Belmont, at least that would have been cool...but kidnapped by a terribly strong dude with a sword fifteen times longer than she was wasn’t…on her list of ways to die that she might enjoy.
She hadn’t noticed the two new signatures, hadn’t been looking, hadn’t been feeling, but now she was on some hill and and he was…
He was yelling at her and saying that she needed to pay more attention and…
Belmont was doing his best, thank you very much.
“They’re not teaching me nothing, that’s quite rude of you…I…I just wanted to leave. Why did you think it was a good idea to kidnap me, huh? Is that just what you do? No wonder I’m supposed to be against you, you’re the bad guys obviously!” It was…kind of nice to have that understanding, but, at the same time. She was going to die here so perhaps…
Her windsock was still in her hand, and Targovishte swiftly yanked off the fabric again, holding the stick firmly in her hand and running at the General.
She was going to die, but not without a fight.
Using all the strength she had, she swung the stick at his middle, eyes bright, fearful…but bright.

Lopezite stood there while she assaulted him. It didn’t hurt, not really. His dogs jumped on him with as much force as she’d hit him with, so he didn’t even recoil from the contact.
“...Okay, talk me through this. I have a giant sword, and I can teleport, and you’re hitting me with a stick.”
He looked at her and let it sink in for a few seconds, and then he reached over his shoulder to slowly pull the sword from its sheath. Just enough for her to see how sharp it was, but not enough to remove it.
“I can take you back if you want. Right back to where we came from. You can keep running, right into the two Captains you were headed towards, just to see if they’re as forgiving as I am after being assaulted. Is that really all your weapon can do? Do you have any magic?”

Targovishte huffed and shook her head, moving to smack him once more with her stick, utterly determined not to back down. If she was going to die anyway, he was going to at least have some bruises to remember her for a little while.
“You’re obviously stronger than me. You can obviously kill me with no issue at all, I’m just. Doing what I can to not go down without a fight. I think that dying with dignity is something worthwhile. If you get a bruise or something, then I’ll be remembered by the one that killed me for a week or so.”
Her voice shook slightly, but she worked very hard to lock down the fear. “No. I have no magic, just the windsock, so I know that you’re going to kill me. So I’m just…doing my best.”
The bit about the two Captains meant nothing to her and she figured that it was just something to trip her up, which it did and she swallowed, taking a step backwards and half glaring at the General.

"...Your enthusiasm is wasted on the White Moon,” he said after a moment. He still hadn’t made any effort to attack, and he sheathed his sword again. “But they can keep your foolheartedness. You know I’m stronger than you and that I could kill you, and you’re rather attack me than sweet talking me? I said I wasn’t going to fight you. Worry about dying another day.”
He sighed and crossed his arms over his chest. “Look. I understand that you’re scared. But I didn’t want you running into trouble. Being a Knight isn’t easy. Being a Page is hard. I’d rather help you than kill you. You’ve done no harm to me. So whatever you’ve been told, I’m sorry to say that I don’t think they had the full picture. Look, you’re safe. Go on your way. I’ll leave first so you don’t have to. But go slow. Pay attention to the energy signatures. Especially if you’re new. You might be better off powering down when you’re somewhere safe. If you want me to drop you off somewhere else, say the word. Otherwise, I’ll head out now. Maybe we can talk again the next time we run into each other. You’re interesting. I think I’d like to get to know you.”

Targovishte watched him for a long moment, still holding her stick at the ready, as though it would actually be able to make any difference. “...I don’t even know where we are right now…you…you’re serious? I…”
She didn’t really want to get to know this man, no matter how kind he was being right now, but…
“Can you drop me at the park near Oak street? I’d appreciate it. At least I know where I am if we’re there.”
And it wasn’t somewhere she would normally power up, which hopefully meant it was a safe location to give him. If not…well. She’d figure it out later…or…never…or.
She’d simply die trying as she had figured tonight would go.

“I’m being serious, yes. I know where the park at Oak Street is. I’ll take you there, and then I’ll be off.”
He held out his hand, waited for her to stop looking so nervous, and told her, “It’ll just take a second. If I sense someone there, I’ll just teleport nearby until we find somewhere safe for you. I’m not going to drop you off right into danger.”
And, he teleported–right into safety.
It was a distant corner of the park, well hidden with trees, and thankfully with no energy signatures nearby. He dropped her hand and looked her over to make sure she wasn’t sick, but he gave her space.
He was as unthreatening as possible. He’d already put this much effort into it, he wasn’t going to waste it now.

Targovishte drew in a breath and was pleased to see that…she was actually in the park she had asked to be taken to…and he was letting her leave.
Swallowing, she gave a slight nod once again and began walking, pausing for a moment. “...Thanks, I think. I appreciate you bringing me here and…not killing me but…that doesn’t mean I like you.”
It was as good of a goodbye as she could give right now, and with it said, she broke into a run, going as fast as she could until she couldn’t feel him anymore.
Until she couldn’t feel anyone anymore…and then, she powered down and booked it towards home.
