There seemed to be a never ending supply of youma in Destiny City. It was unfathomable that any force should have so much power to simply conjure monsters–or worse, turn people into them at will–but Alastor had seen what Chaos could do to a world.
Earth was still so very unlike his own.
He didn’t know how many youma had a chance to be saved. He only knew that unless they were taken care of, unless they were destroyed, they could hurt people.
Dusting them now was a temporary fix, but he didn’t know what more he could do. There were too many nearby, near innocent people who didn’t even know what was lurking in their backyards. Maybe he was overzealous in wanting to clean out the area, but it didn’t stop him. He’d have cleaned out all of Destiny City if he’d have time.
But, maybe just this was enough. There were three youma in the park tonight, and while he’d taken care of two, one had weaseled its way elsewhere. He didn’t know where it was hiding but it seemed like it had the unique ability to conceal itself before. Now, he couldn’t tell if it was gone, dusted, or just hiding.
He didn’t want to head in for the night until he’d at least done his due diligence, so he was on a final lap around the park when another energy signature slowly drew his attention. Order, a Senshi. In the direction he thought the youma might have scurried off in.
She stood out in the darkness, so when he was near enough to see her, he raised a hand in polite greeting and continued towards her.
“I was following a youma, it headed in this direction not too long ago. Have you seen one pass by this way?” Straight to the point, but he wasn’t without manners; he extended his hand and introduced, “Alastor. I’m sorry for rushing, I just don’t want to lose it.”
Although, if she hadn’t seen anything come by this way, he probably already had.

Albireo had been rather proud of herself, having used her magic and a rather thick stick as well as the heel of her shoes to make…well. Not quick work of it, but work of it. It was nothing more than a pile of dust, and as she heard someone approach, she wiped her forehead and gave a welcoming smile. “Albireo, Senshi of Swans! I just dusted a youma, if that was the one you were after, strange little…raccoon looking thing?”
She reached out and took his hand, giving a firm shake and huffing a small laugh. “I have to admit, I’m a bit proud of myself for it, my magic isn’t offensive by any means so…being able to do such a thing makes me feel so much better about myself, and I can’t even deny it.”
Meeting a new senshi was nice, and obviously this one seemed to know what he was doing, he was an Eternal after all. “I haven’t seen you around before, but…I don’t really leave my circle of friends very often, so I suppose that’s not so much of an odd thing. Tell me, Alastor, what are you the senshi of?”

Ah, she’d caught him. It was more suspicious to avoid the question, and worse to lie, so despite the tension in his jaw, he smiled and answered, “Despair.”
He shook her hand before he returned to a place just a foot or so away, mindful not to crowd her too much. He wasn’t used to people taking too kindly to his sphere, anyway, so better to be safe. “That sounds like the one I was chasing, yeah.” A large, furry, rodent looking thing. He knew what a raccoon was, most of the time, so it seemed right.
“I’m glad it ran in your direction so you could take care of it, thank you. I’m proud of you, too.” Especially if she didn’t have the advantage of offensive magic. “I haven’t been in the area for long so I’m not surprised we haven’t crossed paths until now. It’s nice to meet you, Albireo.”
