RP Contest & Flaffle Giveaway



These three taurs are in need of a good home! If their markings and colors look familiar, it's because the meddling spirit (Fatal Irony) based their designs on two lucky taurs owned by Spelldancer. But colors and markings are as far as the similarities, or familiarity, goes! This trio is not related in any fashion to Spelldancer's duo -- and whether or not they're related to one another is completely up to their future owners!

RP Contest
We will be running both an RP Contest and a Flaffle. The RP Contest will be judged first and the winner granted their first choice of pet. The remaining duo will be given out via Flaffle.

Flaffle
Everyone is welcome to also participate in the Flaffle for the remaining two pets! We will randomize winners after we judge the RP Contest. Entering the Flaffle will yield one ticket. If you tried out in the RP Contest, that will yield you another ticket (provided you want it)! If you are new to the shop (1 finished*** taur or less) you will get an additional ticket! ***The pet should be finished/dropped. If you have a taur or two on the way but have not yet recieved the pet, you're still considered new!

Please note, you can only win one pet, no matter how many tickets you have!

I'm Inspired to Write!
Preference Order: Pink Female Elaphotaur, Purple Male Centaur, Purple Female Centaur
Personality: Verity is wise for her age and an old soul. She appreciates her alone time and is self-sufficient. She is uncomfortable around large groups and often likes to be by herself or around other woodland critters. She can come off as cold to strangers as she is wary of those who try to get close.
History:
Verity has a clouded past regarding her former herd. She won't talk about why she left or about anything before the current now. No use living in the past. She now lives alone, traveling and making friends with animals of the cute and cuddly kind. She stays away from more crowded areas and does not interact often with others.

Prompt: It's a rainy day on the isles -- an absolute downpour! Where did the storm catch your centaur? What were they doing, and what happens now that they're caught in the storm?
A light rain would have been fine. A steady pitter-patter, sure. The current weather however was sudden and unwarranted. Verity pursed her lips, annoyed at the predicament she had been caught in. Her hands worked her hair slowly, grabbing handfuls and twisting from the roots to pull the water down. A puddle had formed at her hooves as she worked, both from what had soaked into her hair and what was dripping off her coat.

She wasn't heading anywhere in particular, just further away, but crossing an open field on what had been a clear day should have never resulted in her soaking wet and bolting for the nearest shelter which was under the canopy of a tree. A voice in the back of her head nagged that this wasn't the safest place to be as the rain came down hard around her, but it was better than standing directly in it. While wringing out her hair, she closed her eyes, focusing on the sound of the rain.

In the pattern of the rain she could hear movement. Her eyes snapped open to the sound, her flight or fight response kicking in. A breath of relief escaped her lips as she saw not another centaur but a squirrel scurry up the side of the tree. It was too quick for her to mutter a greeting as it disappeared into the thick leaves and branches above. She thought for a second to call to it, to see if it would come down and keep her company, but decided against it as she looked back to the open field. There was nothing there, so at least it wasn't running from a predator.

Moving her fingers back to her hair, Verity began to pull the strands to braid them. Well, if she was stuck here for the time being, she could at least keep her hands busy. Though her goal was to always keep moving, she was taking the rain as a sign that it was okay to stay put for now.
