It had been a while since Varda had powered up, but summer was usually busier for her. Classes, roller derby, mountain biking, everything was better outside, even in the heat. At least she wasn't freezing her butt off walking home. Not until winter at least.

So by the time that she had even heard whisperings of the the dark spots around the city, she had only heard something about it once and promptly forgot about it until she sensed someone nearby while she was out and attempting to look for some a-hole who deserved to have their energy drained. Another Senshi usually wasn't the answer, but she was curious as to what they were doing out there.

And so she made her way over until she saw the Senshi and the, what looked like a completely dead spot, in the middle of the meadow. She knew that the other Senshi had sensed her and so she shot up her hands to try to give the other the impression that she was not wanting to start a fight. Not yet anyway. Fighting was something she did for fun sometimes.

"Curiosity got the better of me!" She said as she looked at the other, wanting to see how they would react.

Varda let her shoulders relax. It appeared that this White Moon Senshi didn't want to fight her as much as others. Good. She didn't want to fight if the other didn't want to. Took the fun right out of it.

She moved closer to the dead spot and thought she saw something move around in it, giving it a disgusted look. She turned to look at her new acquaintance. "Varda, Dark Mirror Senshi of Victory. And you?" She asked, looking at the other and trying to figure out her sphere. Sometimes it wasn't obvious. She then looked at the spot again and shook her head. "I've only heard about them briefly, but I haven't seen anything like this anywhere else." She picked up a stick and threw it into the spot, seeing it turn black instantly and disappear.

"Gross. Well I don't want to fight someone who isn't into it. Not that I'm against White Moon Senshi, but some like to fight Dark Mirror as they would any Negaverse Agent." It wouldn't have been so bad if the Negaverse didn't also target them at times. It was hard being neutral!

Varda grinned at the idea of sparring against the White Moon. It would probably be a good change of pace. Fighting a White Moon for fun rather than because they mistook you for a Corrupt or they just didn't want Dark Mirror draining in the first place...

She did wonder about the spot though. She let out a chuckle at the other's words. "As much as I wish that were true, I just awakened with it as my sphere. My magic is basically an adrenaline boost on overdrive." It made for a good escape tactic when she was feeling too tired to continue at least.

"But... I'm not against a little sparring. It would be nice just to do it for fun rather than for defense for once." She moved herself into a defensive position, wondering what spells the Senshi of Books had to use. "Go ahead and make your move!"

Varda had been expecting something, but a spectral book being thrown at her, even from the Senshi of Books, was a bit out there. Was it a magical book that would throw spells at her? Did it float around and whack her? Was it-she was interrupted in her thoughts when it decided to smack into her.

Well that was... anti-climactic. But it appeared that there was some effect from the book. Suddenly she felt a lot more emotional that she should have. It was... sorrow? A deep sadness? It almost distracted her to the point of not attacking and she had to try and move her mind away from it and focus on what was going on in front of her. Still, tears appeared from her eyes and started to go down her face. "S***. I thought that would be different." She waved her hand at the other. "The book smacking me hurt, not sure why I'm crying though. Maybe I'm just a baby about being smacked." She said, trying to let out a laugh though it was a mixture between a laugh and a light sob. She shook her head and while still feeling the sad emotion tried to do her best to get through it. "Victory Assured Varda!" She said, pumping her fist in the air! The surge of adrenaline coursed through her, and while she was still a bit distracted by whatever effect the book had on her, she hoped that her magic would allow her to try and hit her target at least.

She ran towards the other Senshi and then threw her fist out at her, attempting to her her in the face with a fist. Her emotions however, probably made her slower than she should have been.

Varda was still feeling sad and it caused her to put a little less power towards the punch that she threw at the other Senshi. There was still a feeling of the dark puddle nearby and Varda only hoped that nothing would come out of it. She didn't need to be fighting both another Senshi and some strange black thing.

The emotions were causing her to be distracted from everything else and unless she tunnel-visioned it was getting harder to concentrate on what she was even doing in the first place. She didn't feel this sad about anything before!

Varda could slowly feel the sadness fading away and wiped her face once more. She had heard the Senshi's words and stopped her attack. "All right then, but I want a re-match later." She said with a grin. "Just for fun. Not to attack each other. But for now, I think we should both report whatever... this is to whoever we need to." She said, taking a glance back at the black spot before looking at the Senshi again. "It was good to meet you Lacille! I'll see you later!" She said with a wave.

She would have asked for some contact information, but the only way to have done it was with a civilian way of doing so, and she didn't believe it was best to do that just yet. She opened her compact and soon enough she was inside of Mirrorspace, making her way back to her home and sending a text about the spot to everyone in case they spotted one as well.
