Her mother had told her that she needed to go and find an earthling to pass along a message. Alizeh had been confused at first since she didn't think her mother spoke to any earthlings. Then of course it was explained that her mother had found a hybrid in the woods and that his, yes his, earthling mother was home so she should be told. Apparently the boy had done what she'd done some years ago and gotten bit by a keldari. Ali wasn't worried though. He was with her Oma so he would be just fine.
She walked along and started to hum a little tune. All she knew was that she was looking for a dark grey colored earthling woman. And apparently her name was Lucijah.

It was becoming more and more frequent, these days, that Lucijah came home to an empty house. Once, Imri would always be at her heel, or would be out exploring, but in reality only a stone's throw from their home - where Lucijah could still see him or, at least, hear him. But these days, Ai and Zivah were off doing their own thing more often than not, and Imri was... roaming. He needed privacy, and as he grew Lucijah could grudgingly understand not wanting to stay at his mother's side all the time. She'd been the same way growing up.
Still. It sucked. She was bored to tears, and it wasn't even as if she could entice the local Elarians to let her come along to hunt or even explore. So she took a leaf from her son's book and took to just exploring.
That meant going on trips to the nearby Yaeli settlements, sometimes, where she could see other earthlings (for once). Today though saw prowling along the edge of her and Ai's house, wondering how difficult it would be to add a new level - she'd made a tree house before, right? How different could an actual house be?

Alizeh had asked a few sisters where she could find the earthling and though they weren't pleased with her wanting to talk to the woman they did manage to vaguely give her a direction. Which was more helpful than they realized. Alizeh always wandered around so she knew which houses were where, just not who was in them unless she specifically saw someone there. So once she got the direction she was good. It only took her about twenty minutes to reach the house she'd pinned as housing the earthling woman. As she approached it she called out. "Hallo!" Not only did she want to announce that she was there but she used a friendly tone so there would be no weapon thrown her way.

(2/10) It was a good choice, because one of the first lessons Lucijah had learned was that many Aishans who wanted trouble wouldn't bother announcing themselves. She looked up from where she was inspecting one of the sides of the building, briefly tucking herself to the corner so she could peer out to see who was visiting. A young Elaria was there - one she'd seen, but hadn't interacted with. Notably, it wasn't one of the young ones that her children had had trouble with before, so that was what coaxed her into stepping out, striding towards her confidently.
Lucijah wasn't a quailing waif of an earthling - in her own kind, she was tall and muscled. But among Elaria and Alkidike like her wife, she was still dwarfed by them. "Hello there." She greeted, just as friendly, though her blue eyes swept over the girl curiously. "I'm afraid my wife is away, if you had business with Ai."

When the earthling stepped out Alizeh stopped walking closer. One because this woman was so different from the Yaeli she was used to seeing. Her eyes went wide, but with curiosity and not shock. A smile spread across her features and she couldn't help the small giggle that escaped her. A small shake of her head was given at the mention of Ai. "I've no business with your wife. I'm looking for a Lucijah. I assume that's you?" She wanted to be completely sure before she went any farther with her little message. As she waited for the affirmation or decline of the identity she looked the woman up and down. She was fascinated by the color of her skin, hair, and crystals. Not to mention the fact that she was taller than the other earthlings she'd seen before. Another thing was that this woman didn't act like a bunny at all. No skiddish behavior so far. So she couldn't call her a bunny like she did with Esai.

(3/10) The young woman infront of her was ... unique looking, for an Elaria. Notably, she seemed dressed richly, with jewelry and exotic, pretty clothes that were so unlike Ai's more practical look that Lucijah found herself smiling despite herself. Not only that, but her dreads were dyed - white, of all things, and she was hit with an unexpected feeling of affinity, if only because it'd been a long time since she'd seen someone else with her own hair color. ... Asides from Imri, of course.
"Yes yes, that's me." She answered, eyebrows lifted in surprise. What would an Elaria have to do with her? Despite her interest in the girl, she turned her eyes to look around, almost as if expecting an ambush - perhaps this girl wasn't a friend, and instead had some sort of argument with Ai that would make Lucijah herself a target?
.. Ugh, but it was tiresome to be so on guard all the time. Lucijah never would have worried, before she had kids - shocking how THAT had finally changed her rather daredevil attitude towards life. "What can I do for you? Your name?" She propped a hand on her hip as she waited.

Alizeh stepped closer with a bright smile as Lucijah confirmed who she was. "Oh good!" One of her hands went to her chest while the other was held out slightly to the side. "I'm Alizeh. My mother's are Akeldama and Pruu." She wasn't sure if the woman knew of them or not but she figured it wouldn't hurt to mention them just in case. "My mother actually sent me to relay a message to you." Her hands went to her sides now as she continued to look the woman over. She was more so interested in the crystals she had. Ali was learning that just as each Aishan had unique markings the earthlings had unique crystals and patterns.

(4/10) Lucijah's posture relaxed at the admission, and mirroring the girl's attitude, she smiled back. Akeldama and Pruu. She didn't know them - she knew very few Aishans, of course... - but she knew of them by association. They were notably earthling friendly, and might have been friends once, if Ai wasn't such an infamous figure.
Apparently, being an Aishan who despises earthlings, and yet is married to one, made it rather difficult to fill the household with company. Go figure.
A message though... Lucijah wondered if it was something as innocent as an invitation for tea, or if they were reaching out out of sheer curiosity, after all these years. "Well met. Alright then... whatcha got for me?" Lucijah was within only a few feet now, standing expectantly, but patiently. There wasn't a single part of her that suspected bad news.

When it seemed that the woman was willing to hear the message she smiled even more. "Right. So she wanted me to tell you that Imri was injured. A keldari bite." That was all that Akel had told her to pass along but she added a bit of her own to it so that the earthling didn't get too upset. "My mother is good at treating them so he'll be alright." She nodded matter-of-factly. With the message passed along she then switched the subject. "You aren't from Yael are you? I've seen plenty of Yaeli and you have different colors." She was proud of the fact that she could point that out. It meant that this woman was from the another island. And Ali's curiosity was piqued.

(5/10) Sure enough, at the almost matter of fact delivery of the message Lucijah's body went rigid and her eyes went wide. She was ready to shoot forward and shake the girl for more information, but thankfully she continued - and said he would be okay. The mother drew her hand through her hair, sighing out sharply, the good natured smiling gone from her features and replaced with worry.
A keldari bite was... dangerous. Where had he encountered the creature? How? While traveling? What would've happened if no one found him, if-
"What? No. No, I'm a shifter. From Jauhar." She said, distractedly, eyes turning back to the girl. "You know, where the Alkidike came from."

Ali saw the change in the woman but shrugged it off as typical parental worry and then figured she'd trust in the skills of her mother since she was known for dealing with poisons and venoms. When Lucijah told her where she came from and that she was a shifter she tilted her head. "I know the Alkidike came from Chibale. Is Jauhar close to that?" Maybe they were neighbors? "And what do you mean by shifter? What can you shift?" Her curiosity was on full display now as she looked the woman all over in search of something that could change.

(6/10) Was this girl for real? Lucijah shot her a speculative look, pursing her lips. Her pulse still thrummed with adrenaline and fear for her boy, but - she had to forcibly remind herself that she couldn't do anything to help him. She swept her gaze around her home - perhaps, she could leave a note for her wife and daughter and ask the girl to bring her along? Unless... it was yet another part of Yael where earthlings were forbidden to tread.
"Did your parents never teach you about the old world?" She asked, somewhat exasperated. "Yes, it's close. The Alkidike and shifters grew up alongside one another, and it's where your original goddess Aisha came from." Before she had children, Lucijah would likely have shrugged the girl off and told her to ask someone else. But this girl had also come from goddess knew where to tell her about her son.
And, in a way, she was finding her curiosity a soothing balm to her nerves regarding her son. "My eyes, and skin. When Serin, the moon rises in the sky, they shift to silver."

Alizeh gave a slightly scrunched look to Lucijah. "They told me what they could about Chibale but they've never been there." So their information was limited to what was shared with them by the extremist Alks. Which she had learned wasn't much. "That sounds really nice. Kinda like how we live alongside the Yaeli." Sorta. Not many of her sisters really interacted with them. As she was told that the woman could change the color of her eyes and skin she seemed to develop a curiosity in her eyes. How intriguing. It was such a shame that none of her sisters could do such a thing. Imagine being able to change the color of one's eyes or skin simply because of the moon? It made her grin. "That sounds like it would be amazing to see." Would it be rude to ask to see the shift happen? Ali paused to think about that. Was it an intimate thing? Was it something that the shifters did in private or was it not such a big deal? "What's it like?" She settled on that question instead.

(7/10) Well... perhaps it was silly, but answering this girl's questions was doing a great job at distracting her from the panic of Imri being hurt. Lucijah couldn't stop the huff of amusement that left her at that cute scrunched up expression, which served to remind her that this girl really was just a kid, despite her Aishan size. She was tempted to correct the girl, and point out that the Yaeli were terrified of the Elaria, while the Shifters were very much combatant - but she waved it off.
The curiosity of the kid made Lucijah feel strangely fond. "Well - if I go with you to see my boy, I guess you'll see it anyway." Lucijah admitted with a huff, turning her eyes back towards her and Ai's cabin. She didn't want to worry her wife and daughter, but Imri would always come first. "Shifting is... about as impressive as your antennae, I guess. To me it's insane that you can feel things with 'em, but to you I bet they're normal as anything."

What the woman said made sense. If she was going to follow Ali back to where Imri was then she'd get to see her shift. That was mostly due to timing than anything. So she smiled and nodded. "I'm sure it's amazing." Of course when Lucijah brought up her antennae she looked up, her head tilting back with the effort, before she reached her right hand up to touch them softly. "Why wouldn't we be able to feel things with them? It's the same as a finger feeling what's under it." If someone claimed to feel things with their hair then she could understand the disbelief but obviously something made of flesh would be sensitive to touch. Alizeh shrugged and dropped her hand down. "I guess there's a lot to learn on both sides." The younger wasn't upset over the shifter not knowing things. She just figured that Lucijah needed to learn more. After all, if she had hybrid kids she'd need to know what to expect. "I bet your boy has figured out a lot about both, huh?" Here she smiled, somewhat envious over Imri's perceived knowledge.
