The Wishing Tree (1): A Destiny City Star Festival Tradition to be held every year; In Town Square, there is a beautiful tree with spreading branches. It is tall, but the lowest branches are easily reached. The city has decorated the tree with small, starlike ornaments and glistening lights. Thick leaves and beautiful purple flowers dangle from the branches, along with a myriad of different colored papers with handwritten wishes. Next to the tree is a stack of blank paper with twine attached, and a handwritten sign that explains:
Write your wish on a sheet of paper and tie it to the tree. Take one wish off the tree and do your best to grant it. When you have granted the wish, bury the paper in the park.
The papers are biodegradable and filled with seeds. There are no rules for wishing, but you are encouraged to wish for something vague enough that it can be interpreted in many ways so that it can be granted; you do not write your name on it, but it is encouraged to write something that doesn’t wish for self gain, but rather something that can make the world a better place. Some wishes dangling from the tree already include things like “I wish there wasn’t so much litter in the park,” “I wish someone would clean the graffiti off the old historic buildings,” and “I wish there were more volunteers at the shelter.”
If you choose to use the Wishing Tree, what do you wish for? If your wish is private, you may write it on the paper and choose a spot in the park and bury it yourself instead of hanging it on the tree.

Chibi Super Sailor Leaena had heard that her friend Chibi Sailor Shedir was back after a long absence. It had been so long since they'd seen each other and she missed. The problem was that she did not know her friend's civilian identity any longer. She knew the Star Fest was up and many of the kids their age were dressing up in costumes so she thought - it might be a good idea to meet her friend at the Wishing Tree during the festival - as senshi. She immediately picked up her Senshi Phone (she was patroling at the time) and sent a text,"

"Hey, old friend! Let's meet at the Wishing Tree, in Character, tomorrow during Star Fest. It will be great to see you! Chibi Super Sailor Leaena of Cheetahs."

Morning already? Dani had actually slept later than she usually did - she realized that when the sun shone in the window. She looked at the clock. Oh no! Her meeting with her friend!

She ran around getting ready and called to her parents that she would be back later.

Dani got to a suitable place down the street and transformed.

Chibi Super Sailor Leaena raced to the Star Fest grounds, and then took it easy, making to the tree with a comfortable ten minutes to spare.

She inhaled and brought peace to herself, then picked a piece of paper and wrote down her wish, I wish the animals at the Zoo were treated better.

Leaena turned to see her friend and grinned! "Shedir!" Then she looked questioningly at her hand, "Oh this?" She giggled. "It's the Wishing Tree- an attraction they have every year at Star Fest. You see you write a vague wish of some good to be done for the community and tie it to the tree, like this." She hung it up in the tree. "Then someone else comes along, takes one down, and reads it and grants it. However, it is said that 'For your wish to be granted, you must grant someone else's wish."

Leaena grinned, "So, how are you? Wrapped up any mysteries lately?"

At the question, Leaena frowned. Should she tell Shedir, she was her good friend?

All of a sudden, Leaena started sobbing and sat down. "You remember Etamin, my older brother? He was gone a really long time - restoring his Homeworld. When he came back... he was different.... With the Memories that he regained I mean.

"In the past, Etamin, Pasithee (my sister), myself, another Senshi by the name of Sekhmet (have to tell you about him sometime), and some others were a part of a Court of Worlds. Darius (Etamin's new Bonded Mauvian) was there, and his parents had unofficially adopted us all in to one big family

"Etamin had many duties, though he was only 15 years old, and he made a foolish mistake - and the consequence was that is mind was warped with evil, and his world and his people and most of the family. I know of only Darius - whose parents were destroyed right after they got him into a space pod and launched it - he has no Memories of that time - Sailor Sekhmet whose Memories are fuzzy - that is another story...

"But Shedir, he destroyed us, Pasithee and I, his sisters in this life, as all of us were managed to stop him and had to destroy him." She sobbed, "I don't know how to feel about it."

Leaena hugged Shedir back and then dried her tears. "Thank you Shedir. I feel better now. But I gotta wonder how Etamin is dealing with this?"

She was quiet for a moment. "How will he deal with it through each new life?"

She was calm now. And suddenly she changed the subject to a happier note. "Shedir, our family has grown! There's Etamin, and Pasithee, my older brother and sister who are twins and of course me. But Mom had twins again! They're 20 months old now! And both of them are boys! Sadly, too young for magic of course, but yay!" She smiled now.

Leaena reflected upon the idea that Shedir had spoke of... "Yeah it would probably help if we looked in on him."

Then her friend said that she wanted to meet the little ones. "You know," Leaena commented slyly "I'm not sure my parents, or my Aunt Dia have ever met you. In fact, I see you so little in Civilian life - they probably don't even remember your name." She grinned to show she was teasing. "We HAVE to do something about that!"

Leaena smiled. "Well then it's off to our new missions." She commented, taking the nearest Wish off the tree for later granting (which just happened to be Shedir's). "Let's go!"
