Sometimes Holi wished she had the ability to see into the future. If she could, then maybe she could've seen the exact time when she would become something magical like Madoka in that one sad magical girl anime, minus the great and terrible Kyuubi of course. As it stands, Holi was currently in the middle of making adjustments in the mirror for her latest cosplay. Maybe if she made an adjustment here around her hips that would change things? Her foster mother always said to give some extra allowance for her hips in terms of pants. "Mmmkay so make a slight adjustment to the hips. Everything else looks okay." With that being said, she happily made her way back to her sewing machine, removing the pants so she could adjust them. Once that was done, she could work on the custom bat that would go along with the fit. Of all the things she wanted to do, Harley Quinn has been the project she's wanted to work on the most. Its just getting the materials needed for the wig and finding the right outfit to cosplay that was holding her back.

Remarque didn’t make a habit of chasing youma through residential areas, but when they were as dangerous as this one he wasn’t going to risk it. It’s not like he saw himself as any sort of hero, it was just the logical thing to do. Someone getting seriously maimed meant more police officers, and that meant more difficulties for him to pass through without drawing attention.
So, he was hunting it down.
He moved quickly because he really didn’t want to be seen and when there were all these buildings so close to each other it was just asking for trouble.
There were a few lights on but he didn’t bother to peer in through the windows; he had a target in mind and–it was gone.
Not gone gone, just out of sight. He could still feel it, but it was hiding somewhere.
…Which made it more dangerous than before. He slowed, taking great effort to scrutinize every possible hiding place to make sure it didn’t sneak away.
Preferably before anyone else got dragged into this mess.

Holi saw a flicker of something outside of her window. She frowned, going towards her window, only to find nothing there. Weird. Normally she would shrug it off, but something was telling her to investigate. What if it was something dangerous? An injured person could need her help or she could be the one to call 911. Slipping into her house shoes, Holi grabbed something she could use to defend herself just incase she needed to. Softly walking down the stairs she tried not to make any noise as she crept outside. Now normally she would try to ask if anyone was there, but this seems like something she shouldn't do. The girl stiffened as she felt a presence behind her, one that didn't seem like it would be the kind to be nice. Holi broke out into a dead run, trying to get away from the presence.

Remarque heard movement from behind him; he’d just turned a corner so couldn’t see it, but he could hear the sound of someone moving, fast.
The youma was nearby, so he automatically assumed that it was trying to do a sneak attack. He turned and prepared to strike, waiting for when it turned the corner, but–
It was just a girl.
Running. Scared.
He could put two and two together.
He’d hoped not to run into anyone; he’d wanted to just dust the youma and get out of here, but now there were witnesses. He’d probably have to take her to Mirrorspace and drain her to get her to forget about this, but whatever. That was a problem for ten minutes from now.
“Hey, get behind me,” he said; if she was in trouble, he could take care of this.
Quickly.

Huh? Holi was confused, looking up at the stranger that was in a weird type of cosplay. Who the heck was this?! She didn't hesitate, shifting behind the stranger that would be saving the day. She didn't get the chance to see the creature that was chasing her, closing her eyes to make sure she wouldn't make eye contact. When the creature was taken care of, she would have so many questions to ask....First one being how the heck did he get such a bad a** costume? Can she make one? What materials did he use?

It was for the best that she didn’t see the youma; it was a disgusting, volatile creature, whose skin was black and dripped like burning tar.
Remarque didn't waste any time dusting it; he didn’t want to risk it getting out and causing any more harm.
Besides, if this girl screamed it was just going to attract more attention, and he really didn’t want to deal with that.
He summoned his magic and strings descended on the creature's joints, binding it tightly. The more the creature struggled, the tighter the strings pulled, until–
It exploded into a haze of dust.
The youma itself was easy enough to handle, and Remarque didn’t seem surprised that it was easy to dust, now that it had come out of hiding.
He waited for a moment before he turned to face her. “...Are you all right? I wasn’t expecting to run into anyone.”
…And, now he had to figure out what to do with her.
