The Meteor Shower (3) : It wouldn’t be a star festival without a meteor shower! Right on time, a beautiful array of shooting stars graces the night sky. This time of year is unnaturally clear and it’s incredibly easy to see the stars. Most meteor fragments appear to be little white or yellow lights streaming across the sky, but if you watch closely enough you may find that some of them seem to be a whole rainbow of colors. The scientists have reported that it’s just different components burning up as they enter the atmosphere, but there’s something undeniably magical about it.

Chibi Super Sailor Leaena had just done her nightly patrol - it wasn't a very large area, and it wasn't usually very dangerous, but upon seeing how well and brave that she had been doing lately, as well as being a Chibi Super Sailor and the fact that she would be 13 in August (only year from then would she mature into an adult Senshi - or at least a mature or full Senshi, her older brother and sister, Eternal Sailor Etamin, and Superl Sailor Pasithee had finally allowed her to take her own patrol - with the condition - that should she get into any trouble, she should at least send a text - even if she could and did handle it.

Her fuku basically made her look pretty much a Cheetah Cub in a Skirt. At one time it was pretty much the standard dress of Leaenarian Girlchilden who had not begun truly serious Adulthood training to be a 'Warrior Woman'. She expected that her fuku would greatly change after her Growth Ritual - but how would she know? As far as her past lives, in her last one, she was Ja, the youngest boychild of the last litter of the smallest MircoHouse of Leaena - and poor Ja didn't live past 12 years old - she didn't want to think about that right now. Anyways, she couldn't remember any further back.

She made her way into the park to rest, and was about to power down, but realized that were others dressed in strange costumes as well. So, it should be alright for now.

Another kid, a boy laughed and made fun of her 'kiddish' costume, while his mother wondered if she was going to be alright in the heat - "Maybe I should call your parents and have them bring you proper clothing for this heat." Leaena was calm about it (though distressed at the thought) and said, that she actually was quite fine - in fact, she was actually very cold-natured (she hated to lie, though this was technically a half-truth - as the magic within her fuku keep her cool - "as a cucumber" some might say. "Well, if you insist," the woman said. "But at least take this bottle of water and stay hydrated!" The water bottle was completely seal - so Leaena was happy to accept it and thanked the lady.

Moving on, she soon realized she sensed another aura that of another Senshi, WMS, normal and fully mature Following its trail, she came up on a beautiful girl, lying on a blanket, who wore what could have been a cute outfit to wear to the mall or movies (it was very cute!) It was not she knew.

Keeping her voice low, she spoke and bowed her head in respect, "From Chibi Super Sailor to Full Senshi, I greet thee. I am Chibi Super Sailor Leaena of Cheetahs, to make your Acquaintance."

Leaena smiled and thanked her. Hmm, she thought as she sat down. Didn't Etamin speak that name earlier?

"Lacille?"Leaena asked as the meteor flashed across the sky in many different colors. Leaena thought they were beautiful but was used to seeing the different colors - she had lived in and protected this city since she was nine years old - she saw this special Meteor Shower every year.

"Have you recently met an Eternal Sailor Scout by the name Etamin? He usually is with a Guardian Cat by the name of Darius Ammun or just Dari?"

Leaena frowned. She had been mistaken. "Maybe I was wrong. I thought he mentioned you. Now on the other hand.... that Officer with the boy Dari, who fixed all those broken toys and was responsible about his 'bedtime' " Dani grinned a mischievous grin.

Leaena smiled as though as she knew the secret.

Then her phone rang. It was Etamin checking on her, she had forgotten to check in after her patrol. She apologized and explained what had happened and he replied that it was ok, but she needed to come, because Mom and Dad would be home soon, and they would have a cow if she wasn't there. She agreed and ended the call.

She turned to Lacille and apologized to her as well. "That was my older brother, Etamin calling because I never checked in after my patrol. He understood that I forgot, but I still need to get home quickly, because my parents will be home soon - and they don't know about any of this. They will have a cow, if I'm not home, when they get there. I'm sorry, it was nice to meet you." She smiled and got up to leave and then jumped out of sight.
