The Reservoir (4) : The Destiny City Reservoir opened about two years ago and is an easy escape from the big city. It’s a five minute drive outside of the Eastern side of town and features clear water and sandy beaches--although, the sand here is notorious for squeaking when you step on it. It’s a hot spot for all fun summer activities, but it’s been in the news for mysterious reports of some strange, aquatic monster. Some accounts say they’ve spotted a twenty foot long, snake like creature capable of rearing a long neck high above the water. It’s hard to tell if the videos are doctored, but there are too many rumors to dismiss easily. Something strange might be lurking deep in the water. Or it’s just a hoax to get people out to the Reservoir!
But…Sometimes, people feel like something is grabbing their ankle, even if they are just wading in the shallow end. In the deeper parts of the water, it gets a little more intense: something has been said to grab onto ankles and pull. People have been warned about dangerous pranks, but so far no one has been caught. In the shallow end, anyone unfortunate enough to be targeted may feel themselves being knocked off their feet and tugged into the water; anyone in deep water may feel a firm grip on their ankle, tugging them lower and lower. Somehow, anyone it targets is freed--either by wriggling and fighting, or because someone intervenes and pulls the would-be victim up. No one has drowned in the lake. Yet. It's impossible to see who, or what, is doing this, but it usually gives up after one failed attempt. Usually.
While you may find yourself harassed by the supposed cryptid, or see something visibly odd in the distance, you cannot take any pictures of the creature. Who knows if you’re even being attacked by the cryptid–or just another youma?

Anniliese was back at the Reservoir. Last year when she came she had an unfortunate meeting with someone from the negaverse. She shouldn't have come back here but she wanted to go back and see with her own eyes. The news kept talking about a snake-like creature in the water. Being a Senshi meant checking out claims like that and making sure to handle the situation so that no one got hurt. She was hoping the whole thing was fake news and just a way to get people to come to the Reservor. She just wanted to take a quick look and hopefully make it back home. She came at night so that she could power up just in case She walked along the edge of the water looking out into the water before her.
Lacillie was starting to get the feeling that this place was not a safe place for summer fun. She sighed and looked around she had recently fought a creature here but that didn't mean there weren't more to be found. She sensed another senshi there so she was hopeful things would be easier than the last time she had been out here. She walked in their direction and saw them looking out at the water. "Anything today?" She asked softly. She hoped she wouldn't startle them, but a sudden greeting didn't always go well for others. It was a tricky thing to deal with.

Anniliese was staring intently into the ocean when she heard someone behind her. The voice out of nowhere should have scared her but she luckily was actually being a Senshi for once and sensed the other Senshi. She turned toward the voice.
"No nothing as of yet.. Do you think there is anything out there?"
Anniliese smiled at the other girl. She was happy to meet another Senshi and hopefully a new friend.
"OMG where are my manners? I am Sailor Tjilaki, Senshi of Icebergs. It is so nice to meet another Senshi here. I was quite afraid that it might have been a different type of person."
She briefly thought of the last time that she was here.
She nodded and then said "There, certainly was, I fought a youma the other day that pulled someone under the water." She shook her head "Think nothing of it, I'm Lacaille senshi of books, so it's on both of us, not just you." She nodded "If you focus you can normally tell if the aura is order or chaos." She looked out at the water once again. "This city has been very strange lately." She sighed "It's been a hot weird summer." Nothing was normal in the place. They just ended up deeper down the rabbit hole every day.

Anniliese gasped. "A Youma? Did you fight it by yourself?" That must of been scary for the girl. Anniliese knew she would be scared to go against one herself. "Last year I was here at this same exact spot. I was minding my business looking when I was amused by someone from the negaverse. He threw me in the water and I felt something pull me in the water. At least I think I did. I managed to escape when he to into the water to instigate himself." Anniliese doesn't know why she came back to this same exact spot in the first place.
Was that what she felt at that time? A Youma? "Did not see the thing that pulled me underwater at that time but it could be that."
She shook her head and then said "No I had another senshi with me unexpectedly." Lacaille shuttered and then said "That sounds terrifying. nega soliders are so just.." She didn't have the right words to describe what they were like. Chaos was hard to deal with after all. She nodded "It is likely since I doubt there are any large water creatures in the reservoir naturally." She looked out on the water as the sun sunk lower in the sky. "Perhaps nothing else is left in the water today, but we could do a mock battle if you like?"

Anniliese nodded at the other girl. "Yes, I will love that. I need all the training that I could get." Anniliese had been lacking in the training part of being a Senshi. Since she rarely had incidents where she had to use her magic or defend herself in some way she didn't really think about practicing or anything of the sort. She usually tries to talk her way out of battling or fleeing. Anniliese just hope that she didn't embrace herself in front of her.
Lacaille smiled she was still new herself so she needed training as well, so as they began the mock battle taking hit by hit. She was glad for it. Then she threw one of her books at Anniliese. She was curious what the effect would be. Since she didn't know what sort of books the senshi read she didn't know if the book would make the girl happy, sad, or angry. It was a toss-up and the flaw to her powers. She called out "Do some reading!!" And she threw the book at her target and waited to see the effect.

Lacaille throws magical energy books at her enemy. Upon impact, the book disintegrates, making the target feel like they have just read a deeply emotional part of a book that the target has read.

Anniliese was happy that she had met another person with that she could possibly in the future do more training and more maybe go on patrols. Anniliese was learning so much about herself that she did not know before. She was also seeing that this mock battle could help her figure out what her strengths and weakness are. Anniliese was interested to know what Lacaille's power was and what it does. She quickly got to see it for herself when something like a magical book came at her. She found herself knocked to the ground. She had visions and emotions of a book that she had read. 'The Kite Runner.' It was a very sad book and Anniliese remembered crying over it. She got up and tried to shake the feeling off. She raised her hands, Since upgrading to Super she had never used her upgraded version of her attack. She wasn't sure how effective or what it would to the other Senshi. She decided to use her basic attack for now.
"Iceberg Upraise"
[★] Sailor Scout Attack: Iceberg Upraise Tjilaki rubs her hands together and says her attack. Little cubes of ice form in the palm of her hand. She throws them to the floor they settle to the ground. •If the enemy gets too close a large block of ice pops out of the ground knocking the enemy to the ground. •lasts only for 10 seconds. •Can only be used three times per battle •does not do any major lasting damage •She has to be a close range (3ft)
Lacille was surprised by the large block of ice that popped up and she was knocked to the ground. She then rolled and came back up and ran towards Anniliese. She attempted to strike out at her with her fist. She didn't have much in the way of magic so she had to use her other skills as best she could along with her magic.

If she had to be honest with herself her fighting skills were rusty. But what she has learned that she needs more training. She especially needed training with anything involving defense. She was also not good at hand-to-hand combat. When Lacille came at her with her fist she didn't know what to do next. She just stood there and took it.
"I need to learn how to block hits like that. I am usually a passive person."
She laughed and then said "Yes I am pretty passive myself since my power is about emotions rather than about a physical attack." She needed a few more powers that were more physical in nature rather than being so passive. She was a bit out of breath when they finished. "Thanks for the match." She said warmly.

Anniliese smiled. "Thank you too for the match. I look forward to doing another one or maybe meeting up for paroling or something in the future. I haven't met many Senshis. You are second. I am so happy that I have met you." She looked out into the ocean. "I am so happy that I got to battle you instead of a monster or something.
She smiled "Thank you as well it was a good match. That sounds like a good plan. " She made the rest of her farewells and left to go back to patroling before retiring for the evening.
