Celadonite wasn’t sure how he had suddenly become worthy of an increase in power but, here he was, looking sharp and…rather hot.
For a moment he almost went to Faustite’s office, but instead drew in a long breath and headed home first, writing his…well. What could have been a goodbye note if things didn’t go the way that he wanted them to.
He knew Faustite would come looking, and knew that his General had a key to his house so obviously he would see the note.
They had a meeting later today anyway so…it all worked out nicely.
When the note was written and put on his coffee table he drew in a deep breath and teleported(!) himself to Amazonite’s office where he knocked on the door and waited to be invited in.
Hopefully she was there. Hopefully she would understand why he was there too.
And hopefully before too terribly long…he wouldn’t be quite human any longer.

Amazonite spent most of her time in her office. It was one of the few places that she could make as cold as she wanted, and no one really bothered her. She wasn't burdened with subordinates, which was a fact that she had coasted on quite well, and so she was mostly left alone to investigate whatever she liked.
There was a knock on the door, and she smiled.
"Come in," she said, setting her notes aside. Whoever it was, they had to have a reason for seeking her out. No one came to the strange, research-minded dragon woman for no reason.

Celadonite gave a soft, relieved sigh and entered the office, giving a slight grin. “General Amazonite, as you can see someone thought I was worthy of a promotion.” The grin grew in brightness and he waggled his brows, hoping that it was her that had put him forward.
“I’m ready to do this experiment, and I’ve written a letter just in case the worst happens but. I doubt it will, not with a fantastic General watching over me and making sure everything goes according to plan.”
He gave a slight shiver as he moved deeper into the room, closing the door behind him.
“So, tell me…how do we start this, do you think? I’m ready to follow your instructions to the letter.” If he did that…he’d have a much better chance of surviving this procedure.

Ahh, Celadonite. Already a Captain, and it made Amazonite infinitely pleased to see. Her tail swished with her happiness as she stood to greet him, looking him over.
"Congratulations, Captain. I'm so glad that we'll finally get to test our little theory." She gestured for him to sit in her spare chair, and picked up the jar of starseeds she kept handy.
For all sorts of experimental purposes, naturally.
"Start eating," she said. "One at a time, and we'll monitor the changes as they occur. I'll be interested to see if it's different for you than it was for me."
