Liylasa was on a mission today. Her mission: find more shell treasures. She had her bucket with her, she had her special pouch, overall she was set. She knew the perfect spot to look for the pretty shells too. Her papa had said not to deep into the water while he wasn't there, so she'd found a spot with a little water sectioned off. It filled into a small area and with it brought fancy things into the area. It was an area all her own. She'd even put up a little flag to mark it off as her own. Even if the flag was a stick with a piece of cloth tied around it. It didn't matter it was proof enough!!! Now wandering over to her special spot, Liylasa stomped her foot against the sand as she spotted someone sitting next to her flag! Right where she claimed it! Her spot!

"Hey!!! Hey you!! That's where I sit! Where I go!" She yelled at the person.

"I know that! But I own that spot! It has my flag!" Liylasa pointed to the flag in question, its sad piece of cloth flapping in the wind. Liylasa crossed her arms over her chest as she debated on what to do. She wasn't a pipsqueak! She was a treasure hunter! The greatest of her kind! At least she thought so. " I'm a treasure hunter and you're in my treasure spot. Did you want to find the treasure too? I could show you," she offered, holding up her bucket.

Liylasa huffed at Kynin as she wandered over to him, unceremoniously plopping down beside him in the sand. She stared at him for a solid minute, attempting to figure out why he was so weird and didn't like treasure. Everyone liked treasure. It was just part of the circle of life obviously. There was no way he didn't. Maybe he'd just never had a good treasure.

"You haven't found the right treasure is all. Everyone likes treasure. Not everyone likes the same treasure though. So we gotta figure out what treasure you like," Liylasa nodded, tapping her temple like she'd come up with the biggest of plans. "So what things to you find pretty or exciting?"

Liylasa covered her shock with her hand, inching closer to the boy to listen to him more. She'd never considered a person being a treasure! Though she didn't think one could unbury a person like one could a very shiny rock, that didn't mean they couldn't be a treasure. Or maybe the older boy had unburied his friend. She would like to hear about this Gajeel and his bursting forth from the earth.

"Tell me more! Please! How does a person become treasure? Did he sprout of the ground for you to uncover? What's exciting?" she rocked forward in her seated position, staring at Kynin expectantly.

"O-oh," Liylasa started to say, frowning at the statement. She didn't think she'd seen her papa bite her mama at any point in time. She thought long and hard on this fact, eyebrows scrunching up as she concentrated. "Right! A duel over your brother! And a victory bite. And because he's exciting he is treasure?" Her mind was trying to comprehend all of what Kynin said, but she was definitely misunderstanding a few things. Biting was a way to claim things. She understood that from what Kynin was saying. As if attempting to test the theory, Liylasa reached into her bucket and put her mouth on one of her many favorite rocks sitting in the bottom of it.

"Like this?" She questioned, mouth full of the rock.

Liylasa paused mid chomp and pulled the rock out of her mouth. She stuck out her tongue, leaning closer to the rock and lightly tapping it with it. So bite was for real people. Lick was for treasures. Unless people were treasures and then it was bite. She would have to tell her papa they were doing everything wrong before.

"He sounds like a good treasure. You gotta keep biting to make sure he knows he's a good treasure!! Unless he's bothered by it, but I think he would have said if he was? So yes, bite for treasure." Liylasa nodded, her understanding as far as she knew growing more. She then licked yet another rock in her bucket.

Liylasa appeared to take every word Kynin said to heart, repeating the words he said as she clenched her fists down at her sides. It was very important to make a good impression on new friends, and she wanted to make sure she was doing the right thing after all. Liylasa poked her fingers together shyly, setting her bucket to the side as she tilted her head at the boy.

"C-can we be friends? You don't have to bite me or anything since it will make mister Gajeel jealous," she continued to poke her fingers together while asking the question, light blush dusting her cheeks. "I understand if not though. The other kids don't wanna play with me either. They say I'm weird."

Liylasa grinned wide, feeling like her face might crack from the effort. She leaned forward and lightly chomped down on his arm, trying to be careful and not hurt the boy. He was her friend! Her. Friend. Hers! At the mention of other kids Liylasa perked up even more if it was even possible. She didn't have any friends her age. They didn't want to go treasure hunting with her or walk on the beach.

"I'm Liylasa! B-but would they really be my friend? I know I'm odd and talk about treasure all the time," she mumbled, frowning at the thought. "I could show them my treasure. And maybe I could meet mister Gajeel since he's your treasure."
