Angelica…didn’t get out much. She wasn’t…well It wasn’t that she wasn’t proud of the fact, rather that she didn’t see the point. There were what seemed like hundreds of other people who were dressed in stupid outfits who were dispensing justice, and she…wasn’t needed.
She would however admit that the extra speed was nice when she was running late and missed the last bus home for the night. As was the ability to jump off of rooftops like a winter wear clad spider man, and well. If she felt something…uncomfortable, most of the time she simply left it alone, but tonight, Angelica deliberated, and after trying to talk herself out of any kind of duty, she leapt off of the rooftop she was on and landed…a little harder than expected in front of the one who had the unfortunate aura. “Are you up to trouble? Because if you are. That’s.”
…Heck. She hadn't thought about this very well but.
“That’s my job to stop you if you are, so, don’t think you can lie or run, since Sailor Angelica is here to. Save the day.”
…Or…whatever.

The energetic Lieutenant was more than determined to help his General, though she had never asked anything of him. At least, not anything important. She told him what he needed to do to improve, and ordered him not to get himself into any trouble, and told him exactly how to contact her no matter what was going on or if any White Moon showed up. But those were not the orders he felt would really help him. Help her.
He wanted to be stronger, so she did not have to save him. Or feel that she needed to protect him, baby him even, just to keep him safe.
So when he sensed a White Moon aura nearby, he did not reach out to his General. Sure, she always seemed to be keeping tabs on him anyway, but tonight he was determined: this was going to be his fight. Of course, he had no real intention of making a fight if it didn't need to be, but that was beside the point. No matter what happened, he was not going to call for help.
This was the only way to show her he was listening. Show that he was not only absorbing, but applying. Growing.
Yet no matter how determined he was, he was still not as prepared as he needed to be. When the senshi landed in front of him, he nearly jumped out of his skin. He gripped his hand to his chest, staring in wide eyed wonder for a moment before a grin cut across his face. That jump had been really cool!
"You landed just like a super hero!" he laughed, ignoring her question not on purpose, but because he was excited. He loved things like that, even though he was just as capable of it. Or maybe moreso because of that fact. He did tilt his head at her, grinning and looking her over with his purple, almost venomously colored eyes. There was no real malice in them, though, his amusement pure. "You don't sound that convincing."

Angelica watched him, eyes narrowing slightly, even as she tried very hard not to preen at his words. It had been kind of a neat jump. And she hadn’t fallen or hurt herself in any way so…that…no. Wait. She couldn’t just let him praise her and enjoy it. That wasn’t how…this was supposed to work. It was a better option, sure but. It wasn’t how things were supposed to work.
“I did land like a super hero, because I am a super hero. It’s part of the job, and part of my benefits package. Super strength, enhanced speed, fantastic jumps…it all comes with the territory…but. I’m totally convincing, though I will admit. The ability to have great speeches wasn’t a part of my sign on bonus. But. Maybe when I get promoted.”
It was all a lie, of course but. As she spoke, Angelica couldn’t help but think that it all sounded good.
“Tell me though. Are you up to no good? Do I have to stop you and…uh. Deliver the punishment?”

"oh right, that makes sense, then!"
Ekanite laughed, but again there was nothing mocking in it. He was more laughing at himself, for saying something so obvious. Still, there were so many cool characters in his shows and books that landed like that, and it was always exciting. Of course, the 'villains' in those stories did get some cool entrances of their own.
He did not exactly consider himself a villain, but he knew what his General told him. And how the White Moon were made to think about him. He knew what he had experienced, though, and owed his life to the side that saved it: that made the Negaverse the heroes to him, no matter what anyone else might think about it. And through all that thought, he decided he could pull off a jump like that, too, some time.
And it would be rad.
"I don't think I'm up to no good. Maybe not a lot of good, but not a lot of anything. I'm kinda just wandering around, and I felt your, you know. Tingly brain thing, and here you are. I was sort of hoping you'd be up to something, and make it easy for me to make a cool entrance of my own. Not that I don't mind a conversation instead!"
He bruised like a peach, so the fewer times he was punched, the better.
"Doing the senshi patrol thing, huh?"

Angelica blinked slowly, confusion plain to see on her features. “...Oh. I…I mean…yeah. I’m…well, no. I’m actually pretty lousy as a senshi but I wanted to get home quicker so…it seemed like a good idea to just…jump over the rooftops, you know? It’s…faster and easier to do than walking with people. Or walking around people.”
Sometimes she just figured that she didn’t like people…which was completely acceptable, thank you very much. People…could just be too much for anyone to deal with, and there was nothing wrong in thinking that way.
She watched him and shrugged. “If you’re just…wandering around…why not do it when you’re not powered? Don’t you think you’ll end up getting hurt or like…targeted by someone who isn’t as lazy and useless as I am?” It was something that would honestly freak her out…and one of the reasons Angelica didn’t…power up often. The idea of getting hurt…of having people just…attack her for no reason other than the fact that she was pulled into a war she hadn’t…wanted to be in was…
Well. Worse than having to walk in a crowd.

Ekanite nodded his head. Really, he had heard that lesson before, but he found it nicer to walk on the streets. He tried to stick to the shadows, at least, because he knew his uniform was a little odd. Still, no one minded him most of the time, and he could just go about his way without too much issue. Maybe he just liked being around other people, rather than being alone.
For one reason or another.
"Well, I do have to do my job," Ekanite said with a sheepish look, "so I guess it is just a little bit more than walking around. I wasn't doing it right now, though! Just the walking, not the energy thing. But... why are you so hard on yourself? You jumped down here, I think, because you sensed I was here. That's not lazy. And you powered up at all. That's not useless. Right? You're trying. That's important!"
There were many reason why the honest young man got on his General's nerves, and his intense need to speak the truth was only one of them. He was gullible to a fault, and too innocent for almost everything, as far as she was concerned. He did not see it that way, but of course, everything he saw was slightly rose tinted and often accompanied by an inner bouncy theme song.
"We might not be the best at what we're supposed to be doing, but we're doing it our way, right?"

Angelica studied the lieutenant for a long while and finally gave a heavy sigh. “...Okay look. How about we both pretend like we’ve been doing something. If you need to take energy you can, and I’ll…try my magic on you and then we can both leave and feel really good about ourselves?”
She held a hand out to him, honestly…feeling a little brilliant with the plan she had come up with. That way…if either of them were questioned by…anyone. They could have an honest answer and…
Maybe she could learn just what her magic did. That…might actually help her want to do this more often too.
“What do you say? Do we have a deal, do you think?”

"Try your magic on me?"
Ekanite tilted his head, purple eyes flashing as he considered the deal being offered to him. He was told not to let Senshi use their magic, as it was often a cheat in battle and was generally annoying or painful. He had not been told it was deadly, however, which he felt was probably an important point to make. In that light, if it really was something to worry about, then he probably would have been told more horrifying stories to make sure he listened to the warnings.
Clearly, it could not be that bad.
He grinned, nodding his head eagerly.
"Sure! I want to see your magic, too! I don't have any. I just have. Uh. Drumsticks. Not the chicken kind, the kind for drumming. As far as I know, they do not come with a drum of any kind, though. So yeah!" He laughed, making sure to reach out with his senses to make sure no one else was around. Not because he thought the senshi might get surprise back up and ambush him, but to prevent his General from sneaking up on them.
That was the last thing either of them needed, with this deal on the table.

Angelica couldn’t stop the grin that spread across her face in response to his and nodded back. “Then, take what kind of energy you need and…let me just…”
She wrinkled her nose and tried to remember what she had been told about her magic, but finally, just seemed to light up. “Spruce Smoke!”
As the ethereal pine needles appeared in her hand, the senshi looked stupidly pleased with herself and threw them at Ekanite, grinning. “Take that, you foul beast.”
Except he wasn’t a foul beast. He was actually kind of nice, and this was really kind of fun. Maybe they could do it again sometime and…maybe this would make her actually power up more. But. Maybe she was getting ahead of herself which was also a possibility.
If anything, she now knew that her magic smelled very strong, and she enjoyed the scent immensely.Lithiasaur Angelia says the name of her attack and produces a small handful of energy spruce needles. She throws this handful of needles at an opponent and when the needles come in contact with something, they explode into a light green smoke, which smells very strongly of Spruce. The attack is nothing more than an overwhelming smell of spruce, but it is nevertheless distracting. The smoke dissipates in twenty seconds and the attack can be used three times per battle.

In the back of his mind, Ekanite could hear his General yelling at him for being reckless and stupid. Making this kind of idea, willingly subjecting himself to an attack from a senshi, was literally the exact opposite of everything she told him to do.
Avoid battle. Do not let them use magic. Call for help. Run.
Yet here he was, standing there, in the middle of a conversation, clenching his hands tightly at his side as he waited for this senshi to call her attack so he could see what it was. But she seemed nice enough, and he did not really think it was in the whole White Moon thing to be that sneaky about something. Right? Probably?
He sniffed, looking down at the needles as they hit his costume and poofed into little plumes of nice smelling smoke. Well, it was a bit overwhelming, with just how much he let hit him, like he had walked down an aisle in a seasonal candle store and lit them all.
"Oh! Look at that! It's like I'm in a forest. So... what... else... does it do? I'm not going to break out into hives now, am I?" And how long was he going to smell like this? He was sure it would raise some questions.

Angelica gave an almost apologetic smile. “Ah, no…that’s really about it. But…it’s a great distraction and it lets me run away pretty easily if I can surprise the person I’m attacking, I think.” She shrugged. “So, now you see I’m not actually scary, but…did you take your energy already? If you didn’t, I’m going to run off in a minute so, last chance!”
She waggled her eyebrows and held out her hand again, feeling a little nervous now that her magic had been used. He knew what she could do now…there was no more mystery. No more…secrets no more anything.
…It made Angelica feel…uncomfortable and very much exposed in a way that she truly didn’t enjoy.

"That's good!" Ekanite laughed, looking delighted. "Hey, that's still more than I can do. I think any magic power is still pretty special, when you think there's still a bunch of other people, powered or not, that can't do it. So no, not scary, but still cool!"
The Lieutenant laughed, glad to find the smell was fading. He would not have to worry too much about his General figuring out what he was up to this evening. It was just one of those encounters that she did not need to know about. He still felt like he had learned a little bit more about the way of things, and gained a bit of experience, so in his book it was a powered up outing well spent.
Even if he had not, in fact, filled his quota just yet.
He looked at her hand, frowning at the idea that he could easily just take whatever he wanted from her now. He still had his weapon, and he knew her magic. But they had made a deal, and she had been very kind to him. He took her hand enthusiastically, gripping it firmly and giving it a hearty shake before letting go of it completely.
"I'm good! I appreciate you not punching my face in. And letting me understand a little better how senshi magic works!"

Angelica nodded slowly and then gave a hesitant smile. “You’re too nice for me to want to punch your face in!”
And why would she want to? He was here helping her and...as she flexed her hand she didn’t seem to feel anything really different…had he not taken any energy? But…well.
“Maybe we can see one another again sometime? I’m going to head out now before someone finds us but um. Please stay safe out here, won’t you?”
She gave a little wave and then leapt onto one of the buildings that were nearby, breaking into another run and continuing her fun of rooftop jumping.
…Maybe…
Maybe chaos really wasn’t as bad as she had been told.Lithiasaur FIN! Thank you for the rp ;w;
