He rarely ever went to his homeworld - the place was boring. It was a simple reason and yet he knew to others it would seem insulting to think so of his homeworld, that the place should mean more to him. And if it wasn’t as inconvientant as it was, he’d like to see others travel the way he did and see as little as he did, then his homeworld might mean more to him.
Chalende arrived in the same place as usual, the place didn’t look like it was such a rundown mess anymore, it seemed that over time and after countless boring visits his homeworld at least was looking less a rundown mess. Things looked cleaner and the woods didn’t look so rotten and damaged by the passage of time.
This, of course, didn’t mean he planned to come here more often. The travel times it took to get anywhere here was the biggest issue for him. He never got past a certain area - it took too long. He was not going to spend hours out on the water paddling about and hoping not to get lost and to find somewhere.
This time he did know where he was going though, and it wasn’t even that far away, he was planning on grabbing a large bunch of flowers to take home. Spring was coming, even here, and with it came flowers and the unique ones which grew on his homeworld smelled wonderful and he wanted to fill the house slowly with the smell of them.
Stepping out of the building he’s arrived in the eternal senshi headed for the waiting boat, he’d had it for years now and it hadn’t let him down. He had considered finding a way to bring something with a small motor with him, to help with his traveling issues, but he’d yet to do so. He wasn’t even sure he could bring such a thing, he was sure it would be too big and far too heavy.
Shrugging the idea back, for now, he got into his little boat and started on his paddling. He’d revisit the idea another time, maybe talk to one of the Jacob’s about the idea and see if thought it was possible, maybe he’d get lucky.
As he paddled he kept his eyes roaming, looking for any possible changes, nothing seemed different though. It was what he expected for the spring. Thankfully he didn’t have to worry about his usual allergies - not here. At best he figured that whatever pollen was found here, which had the plants and flowers growing, didn’t affect him. Perhaps it was because this was his homeworld? He wasn’t sure but he did like the sound of that idea.
Approaching a landmass, one he could walk on, the senshi could see the tall purple flowers waving in the breeze. There was something off though…a break in the field of flowers. There were a lot of flowers, no doubt about that, but there was less than the last time he’d been here to check the area out and see how well the flowers were doing. That had been two weeks ago, he’d wanted to see if they were ready to be picked and brought back home. Now though something was wrong, he was certain of it, as he paddled closer he tied his boat off on a tree at the edge of the island and stepped off the boat and onto the solid bit of land. Tall grass and flowering plants filled the island along with a few trees which likely served to anchor the place to some extent. Pushing past chest, and neck, height grasses out of his way he approached the plants with a pair of plant trimmers. As more grasses were pushed aside they finally stopped and there was nothing. There was a patch of nothing but dead plants, dead flowers, and it looked burnt. The area was large, he could lay down in the damn circle and there would still be room, but what had happened to cause this?
Looking around the area, not wanting to touch and disturb it, the eternal knelt down to get a close to ground look at things. It made no sense.
Tilting his head, as if trying to puzzle out the problem, he saw no logical explanation. That left magical but what? He wasn’t the most active senshi so he was very much clueless, he didn’t know the most about magic, and he did wonder for a moment if he was the only one with an issue like this. It could be that it was just him but it equally could be possible that he wasn’t alone with this issue.
Standing slowly, circling the area, he grabbed and clipped flowers for himself as he went. He was still here for a mission: flower collecting.
“I;ll ask someone at home…” They could check their wonders and homeworlds, see if they had any issues as well. He didn’t go to other knights or senshi for things, not that he did much in the way of senshi things anyway, he didn’t need to as he lived with several senshi and knights. He had the resources he needed under the same roof as himself.
That in mind he hurriedly grabbed what he wanted, more than he’d planned, and hurried back to his boat to paddle himself back to the small outpost.
