If there was one thing he wanted to make sure he did right was to try and build a healthy bond with his subordinate. What exactly that would look like he wasn't sure since his own bond with his superiors had been...complicated. But, intent was at least a step in the right direction.
Powered up, he stood on top of a small bank nestled tightly between an apartment building and an old five and dime store. All of the buildings in this part of the city had a consistent layer of grime on them and generally looked tired. He'd found the more poorer parts boded the best intake of energy when out actively hunting for it. People seemed to be out at all times of the day and night. Especially on weekends and with it being a saturday...the pickings should be good.
When Lionel arrived, Helio offered a friendly smile. "Hope I didn't pull you away from anything important tonight." In truth, Helio had given Lionel the option to decline and reschedule to another day, but he had hinted that tonight would be particularly easy for them both. And likely an early one if that was how it panned out. The sun had only just set so the evening was still young.
"Figured we could get ahead of our quotas and get to know one another a bit."
