He had been in correspondance with Kise. Using the guard to communicate with Terrwyn. He had invited her on a hunt, which of course would be conducted at night for the most part because it was too hot during the day.
He sat on his snaptrotter and waited, saddle leathers creaking as he shifted his weight. The stars were making an appearance now.
"Where are you Terrwyn...."

She was a bit later than the agreed upon time but that was because she had to wait for her husband to pass out from drinking. Terrwyn had encouraged him to get deeper into his cups after being forced to endure his company. When she was sure he was out for the night she'd gathered her things and slipped out. Her faithful guard of course was with her. There was a moment when she'd considered changing her clothes into something that would cover the bruising on her wrists but decided against it. With how warm it was in Oba then it would be noticed right away that she was hiding something. "Are you alright Miss Terrwyn? I heard him yelling at you earlier." Kise asked as gently as he could. She spared her guard a glance before she simply nodded her head at him. For now she was looking forward to the hunt she was promised.

He saw them approach and got off of Myr who was all but invisible in the darkness being a murky green in coloration. "Terrwyn, ready for a night hunt?" He bounced up and down on his feet. This was a chance to get to know her better. He grinned, "Kise," he acknowledged the man that was basically her shadow. A light wind picked up and ruffled his hair. A bird called and Myr lifted a hind foot to scratch his snout. "This is Myr, my snaptrotter. He is quite polite if either of you fancy a ride."

Mention of a night hunt made her actually smile. Unlike their first meeting where she was more mindful of her swollen lip, she didn't have to worry about pain this time. Terrwyn lifted her bow just a bit to show him that she'd com prepared. Kise nodded to Thal with a smile of his own. "Sir." He then flickered his gaze to Terrwyn, pointedly looking at the woman's wrists as a way to let Thal know, before he looked back. "Hello Myr." He greeted the snaptrotter too. Terrwyn eyed the beast slightly, taking in the way the beast blended in with the darkness almost. "A very stunning creature."

Kise's signal was not lost on him but like a patient hunter he would not look right away at what he had indicated. He patted Myr's neck, "He was the first critter I ever tamed and has been a loyal and steadfast companion ever since." "A very nice bow Terrwyn, a finer weapon it would be hard to find, what kind of wood was used if I may ask, I adore bows. So handy, so deadly, so efficient." Her smile was dazzling when it wasn't complicated by a split lip, he was happy to see they were whole and healthy this time. He glanced down at her wrists and looked away, his countenance stormy for just a moment. That man of hers would rot well in a shallow grave one day. This gave him solace.

Seeing as this was the first beast tamed she was impressed. She'd only seen a few who had gone for the larger beasts first. Most went for the smaller ones before gaining the courage to tame something bigger. The question about the make of her bow made her gaze drop down to it. She turned the thing in her grip lovingly. It was her most favorite thing. "It's made from Ash. I commissioned it three years ago. I've had to replace the string a few times but otherwise it still seems brand new." Terrwyn was proud of the thing. She'd gotten together with a weaponsmith to brainstorm on ideas of how to make it personal to her and what they'd come up with was perfection to her. Kise had noticed Thal looking at his mistress's wrists. It made him feel better seeing that the man was upset by the marks left. Now if he could just figure out a way to get Terrwyn to not return to her worthless husband that would be great.

He was immesurably happy that she liked his snaptrotter. Myr had not been the easiest critter to catch. Kinda scary really but he had never been one to go after small fry only. Go big or go home. "It is fine workmanship, and you are right, there is barely any wear. Perhaps that means you should go hunting more, to honor such a weapon, I'm more than willing to help you there. You can tell you put real thought into it, and I respect that very much." "I have a feeling we will have good luck today."

The mention of going hunting more just made her grin. Terrwyn loved going o n hunting trips and camping out under the stars. Poor Kise got dragged along with her but it was worth it to deal with his company and minor complaining. "I would love to go hunting more often." She was raised as a Lady, with manners and all that but the wild still called to her. Not to mention she had helped her family's fur trade with how much she caught. "Do you go hunting a lot or just go out to tame things?"

"I do both, I learn a lot from both, and some of the beasties out there are just down right tasty. I'm particularly fond of aldabuck stew." He grinned. "I like the feel of furs too, I suppose I got that from my Dad, he has had fur as a part of his wardrobe since time immemorial, even when he lived and worked here in the desert. We might be able to find his old camp if we look hard enough." "It was after his stint in Oba that he moved to Matori, where he met my Mother." That had turned out rather well for both of them.

She supposed both could be beneficial. Though Terrwyn couldn't tame an animal if she tried. She had no patience for it. Not to mention she had no need for a beastly companion. Maybe in the future she would. But for now she was good with the one shadow she already had; Kise. "My own father had deals in Oba before but he never found a mistress here. Or at least none he deemed worthy enough to bring home." Terrwyn knew that if her father had sired a child he would bring them home with or without the mother since he was all about family. That made her pause a little. Her dad did cherish family but he wasn't loyal to one woman. The man in front of her was both loyal, by his own words, and cherished family. The realization was a bit stunning. "I'd like to see Matori eventually."

"I think Dad finally figured out the odds of finding the woman he loved in the middle of nowhere where there were more janarim than not. Not to say it couldn't have happened, it just didn't happen before he got too lonely." Obans can sometimes be a bit standoffish, but it depends on the person and the family. "Tale is beautiful, but a Matorian beach can be stunning. Kinda..moist though, quite a bit of humidity but it is good for the flowers there. Though Tale in spring with endless flowers beats it unless you like to swim. "I even like the stark beauty that is Sauti, at least along the sailscale cliffs. Wandering is good." Course beauty was only so enjoyable if you had no one to share it with.

"Tale is very beautiful." And since that was her home she was very biased about it. She moved a bit so that her bow was at her side and out of the way, her eyes once more on the snaptrotter. With her free hand she held it out toward the beast before looking at Thal. "May I?" Terrwyn wanted to see if the creature liked her and would allow her to pet it. She might not be able to tame one but she did enjoy giving pets to the ones that liked it.

He stood beside her. "Yes, exactly like that." He made sure that Myr was on his best behaviour though the animal usually saved his sass for Thal himself. For his part Myr stretched his neck out to sniff at her hand then bump it gently with his snout. "He likes you already, he is not always so friendly. He is also a great judge of character." Myr sidled closer and arched his neck over for scritchings. "He loves the scratching around his scales." Myr rumbled an invitation.

Her attention was on Myr even as she heard Thal speak to her. Her bright green eyes watched the creature as it sniffed at her hand then bumped into it. The smile was back on her face with that one. As the snaptrotter got closer and offered itself for scritches she grinned. Moving just a bit so that she was in a better position she gave the beast the best scritches she could. "He's perfectly loveable, how can you say he's not friendly?" The beast hadn't shown any signs of aggression with her present. Then again she wasn't really a threat, even with her bow in hand.

"He once offered to remove someone's arm when they got too close to me with my back turned." Thal leaned forward and lifted the snaptrotter's lip just a little. "Pretty sharp these." Myr rumbled, pleased that they were obviously admiring him. "He picks and choses his people, just like I pick and choose my company. That he left himself vulnerable is a testament to you and confirmed the vibes I got as well." He was sensitive, if a beast tamer wasn't then he would struggle his whole life. "Ya old rogue." He patted Myr's neck away from where she was. "They can be the best of friends but he does sometimes sass me for his own amusement."
