It wasn't common for Chambersite to answer the requests for a spar from a Lieutenant. Or anyone. While he was in fact proud that he had become a General, it felt as though things had stopped once again after the battle with the aliens and he had found himself focusing more on school and assigning tasks to any Captains under his command than doing anything himself. But he had felt the itch for a fight and it would have been much harder to find any Order during the night. No matter how many of them that there were, they appeared so few that they were hard to catch. So her he was, leading the Lieutenant, Vauxite, to one of the rooms used for sparring within the castle. When he entered the room appeared to be empty. Typical. He didn't know what all of those other Agents were doing, but one would think the castle should always be buzzing with activity. But they had privacy at least and he waited for the Lieutenant to follow. When they were both inside Chambersite decided to address the other. "This is a practice session. I hope that you'll be able to learn something from it. I can't say that I'll go easy on you, but maybe it will keep you alive in a fight that you otherwise wouldn't have survived." He didn't tell the Lieutenant that he didn't want to go too hard on him. After all, no matter how large the number of Agents were, he knew that there were always those unwilling, those who changed their minds and left in the end. It would be much easier to try and keep a Lieutenant than a forcibly corrupted individual and so he would help this one. As much as he could. With the amount of strength that he now had and without having had any practice using it on someone who was not an Eternal or with backup, he might hit harder than he intended.

“It would be detrimental to my learning if you went easy. The Senshi and Knights I’ve come across recently have offered me no such favors; would probably be wise if you treated me much the same.” When going toe-to-toe against someone obviously stronger than himself, Vaux was of the mind that it was better to focus on his evasive footwork and trying not to get hit instead of outsmarting or attempting to overcome someone that would knock him out easily with one minor slip-up. The Lieutenant looked around the room; noting a couple of battle-worn marks on the wall; identifying this as the training area used for general sparing. “The Castle is quite magnificent;” Well equipped with necessities from the Main Hall where he had last been summoned, offices for Generals such as Rakovanite. Presumably, if he didn’t have a home of his own, then there were barracks and a cafeteria for temporary residence. Fortunately, he skated by, just barely, without having to rely on the latter. But it was good to know that the option was still there. “It’s been my experience thus far that neither Senshi nor Knights have the ability to teleport as we do.” We being the loose term used to indicate other Agents since he had not yet earned that privilege or promotion just yet.

Chambersite smirked. It appeared that there were some Lieutenants at least that wanted to fight. Perhaps this one would actually stay in the Negaverse. He summoned his rapier and held it out in front of him, pointing at the Lieutenant. " If you have any information about them, it would be good to add them to the database. At least if we know their names or general descriptions and the fact that they are much more willing to fight than others of their kind, we can be ready for them." Many times he had met with a Senshi or a Knight who had just wanted to talk to him before he started to attack, but the more dangerous ones were always the ones that wanted to attack without talking. Chambersite nodded, still keeping his eye on his "opponent". "Yes, I'm not sure where they got it from, but we like to keep it in as much shape as we can." Though he did wonder if they were able to fix any of it. Perhaps they needed to find an Agent who was an architect or builder to see if they could fix anything that was crumbling or no longer fit. "No, they do not. We have the advantage over them with that even though they have magic. However, even though you can teleport as a Captain it will still drain a lot of energy from you. It's much more useful as an escape at that point, rather than a way to fight. But as a General-" He said before teleporting behind the Lieutenant, "It's much more natural." He said and swung at the other!

Teleportation, the one thing he looked forward to more than the promotion itself. The ability to close distances in a blink of an eye, to maneuver with stealth; well in terms of sound and sight at least, the ability to sense auroras would always give him away. Nonetheless, it was an ability that could easily be used both offensively and defensively; just as the general now was demonstrating. If it wasn’t that he was already at least somewhat familiar with the skill thanks to his own General, Rakovanite, then it was likely that Vauxite would have been caught unaware and struck like a youth that had royally pissed off their parents for stealing. Not that he’d ever been hit for that reason but more than once he’d been hit with a belt. That being said, when Chambersite disappeared before him, Vauxite dove forward towards where he had been standing. Tucking his chin he rolled from shoulder to hip across the concrete or stone flooring. The hairs on the back of his head rose knowing that with the speed of the General’s attack, he only barely missed being hit as the rapier whistled through the air where he had been standing but a moment prior. He lurched forward several steps before finally righting himself enough to turn around and face Chambersite. Dust and dirt clung to the side of his face but he made no move to wipe it away; so long as it wasn’t in his eyes he paid it no mind. “Makes it easy to position yourself in someone’s blind spot,” Vauxite smirked. The thrill of this spar was definitely getting his blood pumping and in response, he summoned his own cheap plastic icicles to hand. Chambersite grinned as the Lieutenant dodged his attack. "Well, looks like they finally found a recruit that's willing to fight. Seems to be so rare these days." He muttered to himself. Addressing Vauxite he nodded. "Yes. Though even Generals can only do it a limited amount of times. It would still be best to use it in limited cases unless you're sure that you can end the battle quickly." He said as he turned and threw the rapier in the Lieutenant's direction, expecting the other to dodge it. It was something he had kept from when he was a Lieutenant with his toy turnip weapon, now something that could be considered much more deadly. He followed this up be running towards the Lieutenant. "They have more ranged attacks in my experience if they are not buffing themselves or a detriment." He said as he swung his arm out towards Vauxite!

If it wasn’t that Vauxite often used a similar move when engaging White Moon Senshi or their Knights then he may have been caught unaware and fatally injured by the blade that had been thrown in his direction. As it was, however, the Lieutenant predicted that the thrown weapon would be followed up by a rush attack. The blade was aimed chest high and would have pierced him through the shoulder if he’d tried to dodge to the left or right of it. Ducking wasn’t an option either. Instead, he leaned back, dropping his right shoulder behind him as he twisted his hips and pivoted on his left heel to avoid being stabbed. It worked, mostly anyway. He still felt the sharp metal blade cut through the thick fabric of his sleeve as it just barely missed cutting into his upper arm. Fortunately, close only counted in horseshoes and hand grenades. Too bad he wasn’t quick enough to catch the blade and turn it on its owner. As it was, it clamored to the ground somewhere behind him as he brought both arms up to block the second swing from the General. Vauxite clenched his teeth, grunting at the pain that shot down his arm and caused him to drop one of his icicles when his hand went completely numb. The sheer strength behind the strike was enough to make him slide back no less than a foot yet somehow he managed to stay standing. “s**t-” he hissed; more surprised than annoyed since he had very little idea of how much of a power difference there was between Lieutenants and Generals. Rakovanite had trained with him a few times and Vauxite felt like there were moments when he might have been holding back. “I prefer to not give them a chance to use their magic.” He shook his arm out to try and regain feeling before leaning over to pick his own weapon up off the ground. SSBrosB He's getting lucky. 1 - gets hit and knocked over 2 - gets hit and stays standing 3 - gets grazed but otherwise unphased 4 - attack misses

Chambersite dismissed his weapon for the moment. He didn't want the lieutenant to have the chance to pick it up before it could be used again. He nodded at the Lieutenant. "That's good to keep in mind. Some of them might surprise you. In my experience there are some that would rather fight using their fists. Some of them are much more willing to go and kill an Agent. Unless it's in the database, which I suggest you look at if you haven't already, make sure to keep a mental note of any Senshi or Knights that you come across that would be useful to know."He moved himself into a more defensive position. "Try and attack me." He said, holding his arms up, waiting for the Lieutenant to strike. He wondered just how strong the Lieutenant's "weapons" were. His had not broken that he had experienced, but could they actually stab someone without breaking into pieces?

Wise words to keep in mind. Vauxite hadn’t considered glancing through the database to see what information has been recorded regarding White Moon Senshi or Knights that are currently active. He did, however, seem unsurprised at the mention that there were some who preferred using their fists. One such Senshi came to mind and Vauxite had to actively try to keep from sneering at the memory of him. The first time he’d lost to one of them and while he was certain it wouldn’t be the last since he was only a lieutenant, he was determined to make sure it was not a frequent matter. He gripped his weapon tightly in both hands but then suddenly relaxed. This was a trap the way Chambersite held both arms out, openly inviting an attack, Vauxite was no fool and knew that the moment he got within range, that pointed sword would reappear and he’d be within striking range with limited ability to dodge another attack. “I yield,” he replied instead. “I know when I’m bested.” “I’m no match against a General, you have more maneuverability, speed, and energy at your disposal that, until I’m stronger, I cannot compete with you.” Only by luck was he going to be walking away from this training session with hopefully just mild bruising on her forearms.

Chambersite was a bit disappointed that the spar didn't last longer. But he knew that what the Lieutenant said made sense. He should either train against a General who would teach him proper technique and responses, or against a Captain or other Lieutenant that was closer to him in strength and/or ability. He sighed and stood up and nodded to the other. "I was having fun. But you do make a point. Unlike some others here," He could think of a few at least, "I would rather you not be maimed or killed just because you do not yet have the skills you need." Pushing others too hard also made them more likely to try and be purified. They needed willing and loyal Agents. Not Agents whose loyalty was based on fear. "If I were you, I would go find another Lieutenant, or possibly a Captain if you want to challenge yourself a little, and see if they would be willing to spar. Then when you become a Captain or General, we can spar another time." He said with a slight smile to the Lieutenant. "Don't forget what I told you though." He said, the smile leaving his face.

“Thank you for your time, I look forward to our future spar.” Vauxite smiled and gave a curt nod of his head in Chambersite’s direction. He hoped it would be sooner rather than later but trust was a fragile thing and he had made a bad judgment call that had consequences beyond what could have been predicted by someone who had only been a part of the team for five months at best. It would take time to earn Rakovanite’s trust again, but Vauxite was not idle in trying to prove himself to his General. Fortunately, there were other members of his team that were of a similar rank and he felt confident enough that if he’d ask, someone would be willing to help him train, if not Rakovanite himself. “And don’t worry, I won’t forget,” Vauxite added in a more serious tone. Chambersite had offered a sizeable amount of valuable knowledge that he would put into practice the next time he encountered another Senshi or Knight. Scanning the database would help him better prepare for this inevitability and hopefully help keep him alive until his first Promotion was granted.

"Good." Was all Chambersite in response. Overall he was pleased with the Lieutenant. It had been a while since he had run into anyone who wasn't a General or above who actually wanted to stay in the Negaverse. Either people were forcefully brought in or they decided the demands were too much. He often wondered where all of his classmates from school had ended up if not the Negaverse. Did they quit too when it got too hard or when they learned there was magic? He walked over to the Lieutenant and put his hand on his shoulder. "Let's get back to Earth." And with that, he teleported them back to Earth and they left their separate ways.
