Akea walked swiftly acreoss the beaches until she got to any deltas. There she paused and duf into the sand in a few places, scooping stuff into a cloth before taking it into the sea and sifting water through it until she had a bag of pebbles to inspect. There had been rumors of treasures being found in the area and she was quite determined to find some. She wanted to make some jewellery out of what she found if anything. Perhaps if she went upstream a bit?

Aki strolled along the beach running his fingers through his beachy hair style that he seemed to acquire the more he spent at the beach. His eyes looked around to see if he saw anyone familiar. Akea had come to seek him out to see if he wanted to accompany her for treasure hunting, he wouldn't say no. He strolled along to see if he could spot her.

Akea 2 In the distance she spotted the handsome wind tossed form of her best friend. She waved at Akiliano excitedly. They had grown quite close and he was her absolute favorit adventure buddy. "Isn't the weather beautiful today?" she practically trilled. Somber winter was giving way to the flux of spring. It was not as dramatic here as it was in more northern latitudes but she felt the difference and it uplifted her. She gave Aki a welcome hug. "Want to help me look for treasure?" She beamed up at him.

Aki 2After a few minutes of scanning around with his eyes he caught a wave from the corner of his eye and waved back, there was his treasure hunting best friend. He made his way over to her, the more time he spent with her the more he felt them grow closer and he was starting to get hints of feelings he had not developed for her yet. He nodded his head "It is quite beautiful today" he told her. He was glad there were signs that spring was coming soon, he liked the warmer days. He blinked in surprise as she gave him a hug. He playfully booped her nose "Can't say no to a good treasure hunt with you" he told her with a smile.

Akea 3 Sometimes he was so adorable that it hurt her heart. The nose boop got her pretty good. Her own parents were not as playful as he at least not in front of her anyway. "Excellent, I figured it was best to start around the stream beds, my dad said that treasures can get washed down from miles up river." She had little sparkles in her eyes just thinking about free treasure found by doing something else that she loved...adventuring. She practically skipped through the sand back to the river. "Come on Aki!" She giggled.

Aki 3He chuckled lightly as he watched her skip through the sand back towards the river "I'm coming... I'm coming" he said shaking his head lightly. She was such a joy to be around and he liked her child-like wonder of treasure hunting. He shook his head lightly before starting to follow her back towards the river "looking for anything in particular, treasure wise anyway?" he asked her.

"Hmm, not really, just shiny things, gold, gems, preferably in blues and greens. But I will be excited if we find anything at all." She was relatively easy to please. "Even a shell with novel colors or a neat stick with a fork in it would do, I'm not all that picky." Of course everyone liked the idea of finding a lot of treasure. If that happened she wouldn't be sad.

He tilted his head to the side curiously "now why are you looking specifically for blues and greens?" he asked her as he walked beside her keeping up with her pace and making sure she didn't make a misstep. He scanned every once in a while as they walked to see if he could spot anything of interest. He was curious as to if she was planning on making anything out of the treasures she happened to come across. aki 4

"Because those are my favorite colors and what better use to put our finds to then some personal jewellery to keep the memory fresh!" She was yearning for new jewellery. She saw a lump in a tide pool and waded in to poke about but it turned out to be just a rock. "If I don't find anything, that is okay too, I can always try again." "I do intend to make it my life's work after all."

"That is a valid point" he told her with a light smile before continuing to follow her, he didn't have very much experience in treasure hunting so he had let Akea lead their excursion. He saw another tidepool in the corner of his eye and waded into it to feel around for anything. After a few minutes of feeling around, he felt something and pulled it out wiping it clean of sand and mud. He waded out of the tidepool and walked over to Akea "How about this?" he said showing her a blue swirly shell.

"Oh yes! That is very cute." She grinned up at him. "Maybe this tide pool is lucky." She joined him in the water and dug around a bit. She pulled up a small chunk of silver. "Oh oh oh my first ever find! I love silver too. Out of all the metals anyway." "You should look here further, while I clean this up." She held the nugget to the light. The salt water had not been kind but with a little polishing there would be hope. She was delighted with her find. The whole experience filled her up with hope and glee for the future. A future of treasure hunting with her bestest friend and his handsome, handsome face.

Aki nodded his head as he plopped the blue swirly shell in her hands before wading back into the tidepool and feeling around to see if he could find anything else that he could find. The day started out as a pretty chill day for him and then Akea approached him about going treasure hunting with her and by the end of the day he was feeling ecstatic that he got to spend a bit more time with his lovely flower, or at least to him she was his flower but he was not quite ready to admit that to her. Akea 7 She touched her belt pouch and made sure the beautiful shell he had given her was there, she would add it to her outfit in some way soon she just wansn't sure how she would do it. "I'm so glad you came out with me today Aki. I appreciate you so much, you don't even know." Every day she grew closer to her best friend. She was so incredibly lucky.

After a few minutes of feeling around the depths of the tidepool they were standing in, his hand brushed upon something. He blinked and pulled it out of the sand and mud looking at it curiously, there were hints of blue and he was curious to know what it was. He brushed off the sand and mud with a finger and as he did so the brilliant light blue colour started to come through. He finished brushing it off before his eyes widened a bit and he held it up to the sunlight. As the sunlight shone on it, it sent a cascade of light blue through the other end. He was surprised that it still held its brilliance. He thought for a moment trying to think about what gem it was "Hmm...aquamarine perhaps" he said to himself quietly. In the end, he was quite proud of himself as well perhaps he could incorporate it into his own outfit in some manner. He glanced at Akea "It is always a pleasure to go treasure hunting with you" he told her with a smile. Aki 7
