It was one of those days when Cyrus found himself bored enough to browse through some of the things tucked away in storage. The youngling had found a few interesting things and had pulled them outside to play around in the yard. So far he had managed to stick some feathers in his hair and stuck some along his clothing, an attempt to recreate one of the stories he had heard from some of the rangers. If there were actually earthlings out in the world with strange traits that came from the gods then he wanted to be one! Would he prefer feathers or horns? Or glowing eyes? Cyrus smirked as he tucked a final feather in and ventured over towards the stream to check out his reflection. Just wait until Sylas or one of his sisters found him! He thought he looked pretty cool with the bright green and blue feathers that he had gathered and tucked behind his ears and around his clothing. Surely it shouldn't be an impossible thing to become legendary too!

Sylas had just finished his most recent snack when he decided to try and find out where his brother had gone to. As they normally played outside, that was the first place he looked. As he rounded the corner he saw his brother....who looked a little different. "WHOA!" He exclaimed. "What's all this cool stuff you found?" He looked through some of the things Cyrus had already around him. "I wonder if we got enough feathers on our arms if we'd be able to fly." He pondered aloud.

"Storage stuff." Replied Cyrus with a grin towards Sylas. "I'm trying to make legendary traits for myself. Did you hear the rangers talking about it? Apparently some earthlings can get feathers and they say some actually flew away! What if that happened to us?" The words spilled out in a flood in his excitement as he tried to imagine it. Could they be like kinfa one day? He would be so cool if he could fly! A hero who swoops in to save the day before leaving again in the sunset or something like that. That was how the stories usually went, right? Either way he was determined to find out more about these legendary traits and get them one day.
"I have extra feathers if you want unless you wanna try horns or something, I hear that's a thing too." He glanced over his twin thoughtfully, trying to imagine what sort of traits he could get.

"I think I heard them saying something about seeing people with strange things that had happened to them but I thought they were just telling stories. That they were making it up. Is it actually a real thing? These people with strange appearances?" What would it be like to have feathers all over him. Or even HORNS? How strange it would be to see someone like that. Or to even have them himself! "Horns would be interesting...do you think it'd get in the way of things? I wonder if they'd be big horns like an aldabuck or smaller...." He tried to imagine himself with horns.

"The stories have to come from somewhere, right?" Replied Cyrus innocently. He had to believe in it because it was just too interesting not to exist! It gave him a goal that one day he could come home from some grand adventure with new traits to show off to everyone. A laugh escaped him at his brother's musings. "I think big horns would be a bit tough but interesting! Do you think you would topple over though if you had really big horns like some of the animals in the forest?" Some of the rarer creatures had giant antlers that were almost as long as him! Cyrus chuckled at the very idea before digging through the pile of items he had.
"What about these?" He held up rope and some sticks that he had found. "We could attach them to the ropes and make it look like you have horns." They also had some paints that he could borrow to really decorate the horns. Maybe a bright blue or something to really make them pop?

"I guess you're right. That's what they always say anyway. I'm not sure if I would like big horns, like you said, it seems like it would be a bit tough...and annoying. I'm not sure I would be able to handle big horns. Do you know if any of them talked about having wings? I think that would be pretty cool too. Oh oh what if your eyes changed color? Or were glowy like yaelis did?" He thought he might like to have a different eye color.

Cyrus blinked and then blinked again. Sylas definitely had a bunch of ideas about these legendary traits! "I don't know if I'd like glowy eyes. Don't you think that they could give you away in the trees? Any sneak attacks would have to be done with your eyes closed!" He shook his head even if the idea was really cool and interesting the actual use of glowing eyes confused him. Did they allow you to see in the darkness? Maybe then he would consider them but otherwise nope! Wings though....that would be amazing. "I would love to fly with wings." He admitted with a nod.
"Flowers seem a bit too....I dunno. Unless they're cool healing herbs I wouldn't see much use for them either. Can't you just stick flowers in your hair whenever you want anyways?" And would they have to water them? How would that even work to keep the flowers growing? The boy made a face at the very idea. He definitely did not want to try that one! "Maybe we could paint some of these sticks and try small horns and whatever else we can find? I have feathers already though that's not as fun as wings." He offered with a slight pout. How would one even craft wings? It would probably be something their mama could do but Cyrus didn't think that they would actually let them fly like their papa's kinfa or something.

"That's true...I suppose it could give you away when it comes to hide and seek. So maybe no glowey eyes. But if I made my eyes like golden or something that'd be pretty cool right?" He played around with what his brother had in front of them. "I agree. I think wings would be neat to have so you could fly. I bet we can use the sticks and string instead to make you wings! You wanna do that?" Sylas didn't mind at all if it was what made his brother happy.

"Yeah." Cyrus nodded his head in agreement. "I don't think we can paint your eyes but we could add some golden paint around them?" He offered, feeling a bit bad if they did everything simply for him today. Their mother had some makeup that surely they could use to add some golden shine to his twin's face. Still, the idea of wings was tempting and Cyrus found himself digging out more feathers.
"I guess if you wanna see what we can create then I would be okay doing that too." The boy admitted almost sheepishly as he started making a pile of feathers, picking the bright yellow, green and blue ones that he could find.

"Yeah let's do that!" Sylas said as he started gathering the sticks and rope together. "So lets just lay out a wing pattern with these sticks..." As he started to do that he stepped back a few times. "It doesn't look right Cy...where is it weird?" While he waited he looked through the supplies Cyril had brought. Perhaps he could find some golden paint like his brother suggested. Though if he was going to paint himself he might as well do more than just his eyes right? Syrus 5

"I guess it depends on if we're doing bird wings or something else." Cyrus pursed his lips thoughtfully as he considered all of the possibilities. "Do you think some legendary earthlings can get bug wings? But I guess birds make more sense especially since I like kinfa a lot too." Plus they already had so many feathers here! Cyrus started to place them around the frame, glancing about everything before studying his brother again.
"Let me go grab some other things." He suggested before darting off towards the house, returning with another satchel of things he had borrowed from everyone's rooms. This time he placed out the golden paint that he'd seen his mother use on her face before along with something to glue the wings to the sticks. "Hopefully all of this works and then we can both be legendary for a day." He joked playfully as he grinned at his brother.

"I don't see why they wouldn't be able to be anything they wanted. If they're getting gifts or whatever from the gods why wouldn't it be whatever they wanted?" He waited patiently as his brother went back inside. Sy fiddled with the design he had made a little bit, trying to replicate bird wings much more than the last version had. Seeing his brother return with some paint and other stuff made him excited and he happily took the paint and started painting designs on himself. "Here can you put some on my face?" He handed it out to his brother.

Cyrus nodded. That was fair enough. Anything should be possible, right? Imagine if someone came back with butterfly wings or something! He could imagine both of his sisters looking so pretty with something like that. Or even Sylas could have them too if he wanted or like dragonfly wings....there were so many types of wings! He could only hope to receive something that cool when he was older and found out how to get these blessings that all the rangers spoke about.
"Sure!" A small smile crossed his lips as he took the paint and prepared to decorate his twin's face with delicate designs that shimmered in the sunlight. "I can't wait to show everyone. They'll be so surprised!" He finished painting and pulled back to study the masterpiece that was his sibling. This was definitely a fun experience and he hoped that they could play around with 'legendary traits' again in the near future.

"I think so too!" Sylas agreed. "We'll have to make sure to keep our eyes open for any other strange things on earthlings whenever we go out now. Maybe we'll see someone with wings or golden eyes or markings if we look hard enough. Or maybe even something even more cool!" The thought excited him and he shifted from foot to foot with excitement. "Come on lets go show everyone now!"
