Theriar 1
He smoothed his finely brushed hair down probably for the hundreth time, but well this night was super important to him. He had finally gotten up the courage to ask Onora out for the evening, he had even walked through the bush today, collecting a spectacular boquet of wildflowers for her.

He prayed to all the pertinent gods that he wouldn't accidently put his foot in his mouth tonight by accident. It had been a very long time since he had gone on a date and it vaguely felt like his necklace was strangling him but he was sure that was just nerves.

He was at her home now and gingerly then with feeling knocked at the door.

Theriar 2

A big smile bloomed on his face when she said his name in that melodic voice of hers. "Onora, I picked these for you." He handed her the beautiful boquette of fragrant tropical flowers.

"You loko so beautiful." His face softened as he took in the extra effort she had put in today just like him. She was stunning.

"I thought we could maybe go for a walk on the beach and then to dinner." Cognizant of both of their passions for food he had booked reservations at the best fancy beach restaurant for them.
"We are going to Fin's if that is okay. Figured it would be nice for someone to cook for you once in a while." Besides himself that was. Onora was better but he was pretty good with a few select dishes and it was nice to share the load too.

Onora's place had seemed like home even from the first time she had cooked for him there.

Something just felt right. Like that sixth sense he go when he knew a net was going to bring in a lot of fish.
Her eyes reminded him of sunsets on the sea.
Each time he looked into them he felt like he might get lost in them, but he didn't mind at all. Kinda odd for a sailor to want to get lost with no sight of land.

Theriar 3

"Well it is a nice change from the salty that I am with everyone else."

Her touch sent a zing all the way up his arm. There was just something so special about her. He couldn't get enough. She even appeared in his dreams, usually aboard his ship where they had a lovely time fishing. He always awoke with a smile those mornings. He guided her to the san and wandered along the beach as the sun grew heavy on the horizon.
The landscape was painted in a reddish orange light.

"What do you feel like eating for dinner tonight?"

He adored talking with her, it never seemed to take any effort at all and was in fact energizing.

He chuckled at her motives. Tonight was already so perfect. In the water a pod of snaptrotters churned the water lazily with their tails in passing. He loved seeing wildlife. The open sea could be a bit boring though it was always beautiful.

He was definitely the furthest thing from bored at the moment. Excited and content perhaps if one could feel both of those things at the same time.

"Something quick, how about a barbeque, where we get to watch them sear it, and pick out or fish from the bucket." He always felt like a little kid at those, despite being a fisherman by profession. It was just downright charming.

He secretly loved it when she called him that. More people had called him salty, though he supposed that could be due to the amount of time he spent on the sea.

The food aroma's wreathed around their heads and he basked with her in the pleasant atmosphere.

"Looks like the whole neighborhood had the same idea." He said waving cheerfully to a large family that lived by his house.

"I should have asked you out on a date a long time ago, beautiful." He had been a bit of a chicken, he would admit, to begin with. Dealing with the fairer sex hadn't always come easily for him but with her it moved like the tide. Pulling him closer, day by day.

He called a server over and ordered a fruity drink.

"And for you luv?" She glowed in the firelight, gorgeous and vibrant like the sea. He was so hooped and he knew it. He was also completely alright with it. He would hand her his heart on a silver platter if it made her happy. She had the best smile.

He had needed a night like this, a night to forget worry and troubles and most of all...fish.

He smiled sweetly at her. "I had to work up my courage okay, but I think a part of me knew the moment I went into your house the first time and it felt like home." He kissed her temple sweetly. Not caring a lick who watched. She deserved to feel special. His Matorian Queen.

"This is so fun, now that we have done it once I will endeavor to dress up and take you out more often luv." His stomach rumbled impatiently. It sensed Onora was around and knew what should be coming.

He rolled his eyes. "The food is coming don't fret." He patted his very flat belly. It might not be as good as Onora's but very little was. Though it was harder to mess up barbeque.

A light wind danced around them, in a flirtaceous way. The trade winds were coming back. A good sign for fishing.

He sipped his drink when it came and offered the glass in a cheers with Onora.

"To many more star spangled date nights."

Geehee, she had called him babe and it sounded right. He gleefully took a bite of the food which was good, but not nearly as good as her homemade chow. He could taste the love in her food and the zest for life. This stuff was still good though and he was hungry. Worth it for sure to spend some time with her where she wasn’t bustling around, not that he minded but it was nice to see her spoiled too. He felt light and airy and full of joy. He wiped a little bit of bbq sauce off her mouth with a water damp napkin, smiling sweetly. Best. Night. Ever. And it was not over. The chatter of other people was pleasant and he realize that he had been spending an inordinate amount of time out at sea. Balance in life was all.
