She had only been here a couple of times, but Mirrorspace wasn't usually somewhere she visited, especially since it was the first time that she was going by herself. As a Basic she didn't have the ability, but as a Super she found herself with the ability to finally look at what the Dark Mirror Senshi were using and called their "home" or whatever it was considering they couldn't live there. She had the day off from studies and other activities and decided that she wanted to wander around a bit in there. She made her way in through a mirror in the gym that she used, away from the cameras, and found herself in the common room. She was surprised to see that she wasn't alone however. There was another Super, one that she hadn't ever talked to one-on-one. Still, she was glad that she wasn't the only one. Even if they rarely ran into trouble, she had heard about the monster, it still seemed like some sort of attack could come through any of the mirrors at any time. So if she had to be taken out by something, at least it wouldn't be alone! But now was not the time for that. She thought she recognized the other Super, but just in case she was incorrect in her assumption, she wanted to go over and introduce herself. She walked over, her boots clicking a little so that there was some noise in the room. "Hello! Glad to see someone else is here!" She said when she got close enough. And considering how few Dark Mirror there were, it was even rarer that there were two that were randomly in here at the same time. "Looking for anything in particular?" Honestly she didn't know what she was supposed to do around here, other than explore the place.

Arnica hadn’t been anticipating company but as soon as he sensed the other energy signature, he was interested. He had a bag over one arm, just supplies in case he was in here for a little while. His camera hung from a strap around his neck and he seemed like he’d been just about to set off down one of the hallways leading away from the Common Room when she entered.
“Hey,” he greeted, enthusiastic because he did recognize her. Just, maybe not as a super Senshi. "Varda, long time no see. You're looking good! I'm not here for anything in particular. Just getting ready to go look, honestly.
He extended a hand in greeting. “How have you been? Are you here for anything in particular, or are you just winging it, too?”

Arnica! That's right! She felt bad for not recognizing him. "Arnica! It's good to see you. It's been too long. Dark Mirror should really meet up more." Now she would definitely have to remember their meeting. She gave him a shrug at his question. "Yeah, I just wanted to try it out. I haven't been Super for that long and I haven't been able to get into Mirrorspace by myself before so I just wanted to try it. But I'm glad I'm not the only one in here." She said this as she took a look around the room. "You mind if I tag along? Not sure what to expect here, but I wanted to check it out at least a little bit and having company would make it better. I understand if you don't though." Some people just liked to be alone. If he wasn't interested she would explore for maybe an hour by herself before heading back. She realized that she should probably have talked to someone more experienced in Mirrorspace about what could possibly be found there before heading in herself. There could be dangerous creatures for all she knew!

Arnica nodded almost immediately. “Sure, come along. It’s better to be safe, anyway. Mirrorspace is unpredictable. If something goes wrong, it’s always good to have someone watching your back. I’ve been here a few times. Sometimes alone, sometimes with someone else. Mirrorspace always seems kinder when you have a little bit of company.”
He gestured for Varda to follow him. “I’ve taken to collecting whatever I can find. If it’s interesting, I mean. Usually I find a bit of rubble, broken mirrors. That’s not interesting. Sometimes you can find gemstones, though. Crystals. Remarque–I don’t know if you know him–but he says you can take them to the Mirrorscape and they do something. Different things. I haven’t really played around with it yet, but I’ve gotten quite a collection so far. Sometimes you find other things. I haven’t really found anything amazing, it’s just curios and things I thought were interesting. I like the treasure hunt. But, mostly I’m here for the mystery.”
He walked down the first hallway that appeared, as if he knew where it went.
He didn’t, and even if he had tried to map things, the path always changed. He’d learned that the only consistent thing about Mirrorspace was its inconsistency.
“Sometimes it feels like someone’s watching you through the mirrors. Sometimes you hear a voice, or I’ve even seen damage that looks like it’s been done to the other side of the mirror. That’s the mystery I want to solve. I want to know what else is out there. Or, in here, with us.”

What he said worried her for a moment, but he was offering to be her company while she was in here which made her feel a great deal of relief. If what she said was true, then she would either have to go at a time she was feeling particularly brave going by herself or go with a fellow Dark Mirror. She stepped up next to him and then started to follow him. "Crystals? You've caught my interest." She said, thinking about the jewelry she usually made. Though she dared not use any of the crystals found here in them. Who knows, they could make something explode for all she knew, especially since Arnica didn't exactly know what they were for himself! "Remarque was the one to awaken me, though I don't believe we've had time to talk one on one since then. But I am interested in the crystals. If they do different things I would like to try them out!"He seemed to know where he was going without a map. She wasn't sure if she remembered this being the way she went last time she had been pulled in here by a Dark Mirror. Did it change every time they came in? That made figuring out this place even more difficult. She felt a shiver go down her spine. If there was one thing she didn't like about mysteries, was not being able to do something about it. "Thanks for the warning. I would probably think I was going crazy if I heard things that I couldn't tell were there. Or the feeling of being watched. But I do love a good mystery so I'm willing to help if you need it!" Case, mystery, both were pretty much the same, though the former usually involved some sort of crime. There didn't appear to be any crimes here, but perhaps they just hadn't discovered any? "Do we have anywhere we're storing information about this place? It would be good to know. Maybe we can't map it up, but if there are things that we can note down, when we hear things, yadda yadda, then perhaps we can start piecing something together."

Arnica brightened, obviously glad to find someone who shared his enthusiasm for these strange, unsolved mysteries and oddities.
“In the Mirrorscape–that place with the floating islands, where you can take those crystals and see what they do? There’s this building with some old tech stuff. I haven’t spent much time there, I can’t tell if it gets a lot of use? But I think that if we were going to log any information, it would be there. Although, I suppose it only helps if you can get there. I always figured it was too dangerous to have that information outside of Mirrorspace, but it’s not really helpful if you’re just starting and can’t get into the place.”
He clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth. “Of course, it probably kept me out of trouble. If I’d been able to access all the information from the get-go, I probably would have gone in too quickly. I bring a notebook with me, and a camera. Just so I can keep a log. Every visit is different, so I haven’t been able to make too much of a connection with anything. Yet. One day, all the pieces are going to line up. Do you spook easily, or do you like a little trouble?”

Varda thought about it for a moment and then sighed in agreement. "Yeah, I probably would have done something stupid myself. Just head straight in there without any thought of danger at least. It's something I'm working on." She said with a smile. "But those sound like they could be useful. Perhaps we can start moving things from here onto one of those islands." She wondered if Mirrorspace would allow them to do that. They had to be connected, right? She grinned at his question. "I wouldn't be training to be a police detective if I spooked easily, so a little trouble it is! What are you thinking?"

Arnica nodded with little hesitation. “Worth a shot, right? If we try to bring something into Mirrorspace and it doesn’t like it,” he shrugged. “Worst thing that happens is we go on a scavenger hunt to find whatever we put in when it pops out some mirror in Destiny City, right?”
Or, maybe it would be wise to practice with things they wouldn't miss so they didn’t have to bother.
“I was thinking about trying to see what Mirrorspace could conjure for us. There’s really no predicting it, so you have to stay on your toes. Sometimes you get nothing, sometimes you get a room that wants to crumble all around you. Sometimes it feels like something’s watching you. It’s uncharted territory. Gotta be ready for anything.”
Which was impossible, because you really couldn't predict that Mirrorspace was going to throw at you.
“We don’t have to go this trip, we could try a different one. Pack up some supplies, head into the thick of it. See if we can’t find something neat to investigate. Might be good practice, for a Dark Mirror Senshi and a Police Detective.

"Hadn't thought about it that way, but you're right. It is definitely worth a shot!" She would have to bring some things next time then! Maybe she could find a place to keep them? Would that Mirrorscape place work? She listened to the rest of his idea, growing more interested the more he described it. "Yep, definitely in. I don't think it's worth being powered up if there isn't a little danger to it. Not that I go out looking for it!" She said before he could say anything. "Just that with all of this magic stuff and us not being able to understand it, there's bound to be something that's going to put us in danger. We can't just hope that it will always be a cakewalk." She had already been in some danger while being a Dark Mirror and while it was scary, she managed to power through all of it so far. It was just the hand that they had been dealt, so they would have to decide what to do with it. "That sounds good. Then we can bring supplies we may think we need and get enough time off as well." Or at least she would. She didn't know Arnica's civilian job. "Just send me a message over the compact and we should be able to figure a time to do it."

“Yeah, sounds good. You still have my phone number, don’t you? …Did I give it to you? It doesn’t matter, I have plenty. Here,” he said, and pulled out a nondescript white business card. It had only an email and a phone number on it, so he pulled out a pen and wrote ‘Leander’ on the card before handing it over. “I haven’t changed my name yet, but just in case. I’m still doing journalism, but, you know. It’s not just for normal stories. Love all those creepy supernatural stories, too. I’ve got all those people that love the mystery of it all, so,” he shrugged.
“Haven’t found anything worth while in a bit, so I’m still looking. It’ll be nice to pass the time in Mirrorspace with a friend, at least. I’ll pack a bag, maybe we can try for this weekend. Unless you have plans? I’m super flexible with my nights, so I can work with whatever.”

Varda gladly accepted the card. She should still have had his phone number, but she hadn't thought to bring it with her. At least she didn't think that cellphones would be able to make calls while in the Mirrorspace. She sent the card to the void or wherever the heck items went with all of this magical stuff going on. Maybe they had lockers somewhere? "Thanks, I appreciate the card anyway." She said with a nod. "This weekend is fine. My team has an off weekend and I'm taking a bit of a break from studying so I'm free whenever! Just send me a message at what time you want to meet." She replied, attempting to think of what she would need to stay. "Just send me a text or whatever. I'll make sure to have you in my contact list."

“I’ll do that! I’ll probably head home soon, but I’ll text you tomorrow morning, we can make a plan. Figure out what time, for how long, who needs to bring what. We’ll have fun with it. Maybe find somewhere neat, solve a little mystery, who knows.”
Arnica grinned and said, “Either way, I’m looking forward to it. Stay out of trouble until then, okay? And make sure you’re eating well and getting enough sleep. Mirrorspace is one of those weird places where you have to be ready for anything. We’ll be safest if we go in while we’re in peak condition.”
Better safe than sorry, at least.
They had a plan, though–and it was always safer to go into Mirrorspace with backup.
…If you went missing, at least someone could start a search party.

"Sounds good! If you're going then I might as well too. Gives us time to think of a plan and get ourselves ready if we can only stay in here every so often." Yes, she would have to check her schedule, see if she could go a day without training or had other plans. She was very excited for the trip. Even though she had been through some things, she still hadn't felt very close to the Mirrorspace and had hardly traveled through it, even as a Super at this point. "I'll be heading back but I'll make sure to stay out of trouble! As much as I can at least. I can't say that I won't fight back if trouble finds me." She said with a smirk. She truly wouldn't go and find it, but who knew if there would be some White Moon Senshi out with a vendetta against the Dark Mirror or something. With that she gave the other a wave and stepped through the mirror that she had come through. Kyuseisha no Hikari Ending post from me! Thank you for the rp!
