It had been a couple of months since that run-in with that abnormally large owl and he had decided that that was enough for at least a few weeks and had decided that he should at least show his face outside in an attempt to convince any Agent that ran across him that he was trying to collect energy. The General he had been put under didn't seem to care at this point, there appeared to be more going on with the Negaverse that Versailles was not privy to and decided to let his General be distracted. He certainly wasn't going to tell them if he was making his quota or not. What he was currently doing though was hanging around a cold but non-snowed area of a nearby park that he hadn't been to as of yet. If any Order tried to fight with him he would make sure to take his leave. But for now he at least wanted an excuse as to why he wasn't able to make his quota if anyone asked him. And it seemed that his excuse was made! He felt the aura of a Senshi nearby, much more powerful than he was. He would let them come to him and if they attacked he would make sure to run for it. They didn't have to tell him twice! Some may have seen it as cowardly, but as ambitious as he was in his usual life, the feeling of needing to do things had been drained from him in his apathy with the Negaverse. So it was more out of laziness that he would turn tail and run at the first sign of a fight.

The evening had been a relatively quiet one so far, but the weather had been cold enough for Athene to be glad of the gloves that he'd thought to bring along as well as the takeaway cup of hot chocolate that had become something of a staple when he was out on patrol in the colder months. He'd been contemplating mayhaps calling it a night for the evening, when he'd finally picked up on his first aura of the evening– A senshi of the Negaverse. A corrupted senshi - although the aura didn't blaze quite so bright as an eternal's aura so perhaps a super senshi maybe. Perhaps. Athene eyed the cup of hot chocolate with a slight frown for a moment, before sighing slightly, because he knew that he was going to do his best to try and track down the source of the other aura– Even though a part of him had already been thinking about the cupcakes that he'd picked up earlier as Arian on a whim and a fresh hot chocolate. But the aura seemed close enough, to be relatively nearby - at least Athene thought that it was relatively nearby, even if he couldn't say for sure– And it turned out that the aura had been nearby, had ended up leading him towards a park that he'd cut across from time to time, even though it had been a while since he had done so. Athene hesitated for a moment before taking a chance and calling out "You know I can sense you." Because sensing auras went both ways and given that he was picking up on the corrupt's aura then the other senshi was certainly picking up on his own aura. SSBrosB hope this works - lmk if I need to tweak anything :3

Versailles turned to look at the Senshi who had called out to him, an eyebrow raising. "Yes?..." He wondered if the other would follow it up with something. "I'm not one for powering up that much, but it would be best to do so late at night so that my energy isn't drained." It was true. Much better to be prepared for at least one magical force instead of none. Though he was getting quite tired of it all. "If you're worried I'm not out here to drain anyone. Just to think and try to get any future plans in order." He said with an uncaring shrug. "I'm Versailles of Splendor. Who are you?"litian You're good! Apologies for the small reply!

Athene frowned slightly, his eyes taking in the three streaks of blue in the other's blond hair from beneath the frames his glasses as he listened to the taller senshi speak. "I... That's good" he said at last, after it looked like the other senshi had finished speaking "Because if you were then I would have to try and stop you and I'd rather not fight if I don't have to." Not to say that he wouldn't fight, because despite Athene's dislike of fighting, it wouldn't stop him from doing his best if it came down to it– But he had never liked the "I fight, you fight" that often seemed to be part and parcel of powered life. He couldn't help but tilt his head thoughtfully at the other's comment about 'future plans', and for a moment Athene wondered if he should ask– But he had no way of knowing if the other senshi would even answer - not given their respective sides. "I'm Sailor Athene" he opted for instead.

"I wouldn't blame you for doing that. Isn't that what's supposed to happen anyway? Order fighting Chaos, Chaos fighting Order." He shook his head. "I understand it, but in a way, I also don't." He said, almost muttering the last part of the sentence. "Not in terms of Senshi versus Agents but just... in general." He had looked away from the Senshi to look at the stars in the sky before moving his gaze back to the the dark haired Senshi. "Athene. Interesting to meet you Athene." He said with a nod before being silent for a moment and then speaking again. "Would you mind if I ask you some questions? I don't want any personal or private information on any Senshi or anything. Just to... help myself come to a decision on the Negaverse." He wouldn't be surprised if the Senshi decided not to answer. It was a large ask of the "enemy" after all, and harder to supply information to someone who wasn't on your side. litian tell me if the font is too eye-burny

Athene lifted and dropped his shoulders in a slight shrug at the taller senshi's question "Probably" he admitted, because the war was there like an unspoken elephant "And that's not to say that I don't fight because I will if I have to." He wasn't a pacifist. "But as I said, I'd rather not fight if I don't have to" and at least for the moment it wasn't looking like he would have to. Athene's lips tilted up in a small, brief smile at Versailles comment that it was interesting to meet him as truthfully he didn't really see himself as being particularly interesting - but then Athene had never been one to stand on rank and he knew full well that there were other senshi out there that were stronger and/ or more charismatic than him. He listened as Versailles asked if he could ask him some questions, waited until the other had finished speaking before nodding as he said quietly "I'm not sure if I'll be the best fit, but sure I don't mind if you ask me questions and I'll answer as best I can" he added "Although there may be things that I can't answer." Well, they appeared to have come to the agreement that they wouldn't be fighting each other. And Senshi weren't known to go and try to kill Agents... right? He could only hope that the other was being truthful. "I guess besides all of this war stuff, what drives you to be a Senshi. I was forced into this entire mess and while you can see that I have advanced a bit, it just seems... pointless to me at this point. Fighting isn't fun and doesn't seem to be getting us anywhere and besides that... nothing. On our side we can train and help other Agents and such, not that I've really ever done either, but there's nothing that calls to me here. I've been powering up less and less because of it." He didn't care if he was giving away too much information. His feelings about all of this were a straight line at this point. He could go either way. "So, is there anything else that you do on the Order side? Something that says 'Yes, I want to continue to be a Senshi'?"litian And now it's my turn to apologize, sorry for taking so long! Athene considered both of Versailles' questions seriously for a few moments, "Truthfully, I wouldn't say that it's the war stuff per se that drives me to be a senshi" he admitted at last. He'd had no idea after all just what he'd really be getting into on the day that he had bent down and picked up the henshin pen that ********* had managed to summon from literally out of nowhere and called out 'Athene Power, Make-up" as directed. Actually it had taken two attempts, because he hadn't put enough feeling behind the words on the first attempt. "And I don't really have any fancy reasons for powering up either, but there a lot of people that are important to me who are caught up in all of this." Athene hesitated before adding quietly "And there seems to be a lot of senshi and knights who don't always get a lot information about what they're getting into when they first awaken - and I want to do my best to try and help them as best I can–" He sighed "It's not like there's a manual about this stuff out there - and I know that there are those on both sides that will attack people for being out and about and wearing what they consider to be the wrong uniform." He looked up at Versailles, "That's not to say that if I come across an Agent energy draining someone that I wouldn't do my best to try and stop them... But just that I'm not one for the you fight, I fight approach." But then again, Athene knew that he wasn't really particularly suited for the battlefield - for all that the war meant that he ended up being placed there more often than not.

Versailles couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. While the answers to his question weren't unexpected, they weren't of any particular help to him. While he had met and talked to Senshi and Knights he couldn't consider any of them "friends" at this point. The other one he could understand, but it was surprising to hear that they offered so little information when a Senshi was awakened on the Order side. Surely their Guardian cats could point them toward someone? "I understand your thoughts on the war. And you already know my feelings on it." He said with a small smile. "But that is interesting that there isn't much help. I can't say that I would be of much help myself, but I would hope to be able to point them in the direction of someone who could." He went quiet again for a moment. "Thank you for being willing to talk to me about all of this. It's... a start. But it's something at least." It was starting to get late however and they had been talking without fighting for at least a bit. If anyone else were to encounter them now, it might be suspicious. "I believe that it's time for us to part ways. At least, I'll get out of the way. It was good to talk to you Athene. If I have any more questions, I hope to be able to ask you them." He said, before taking the time to teleport away. It was late and his mind was jumbled, as it had been for a while at this point. And for now, he wanted to rest. litian end rp from me! Whilst a part of Athene knew that Versailles was right when he said that they should part ways, he still couldn’t help but blink a little as the corrupted super senshi teleported away. He'd barely managed to get a small nod in, was unsure as to whether Versailles had even seen it– But the corrupted super senshi was right because nothing good would come of them being caught talking. Athene had been around long enough to know that the Negaverse could be ruthless– And given that there were agents out there that would attack him simply for being an Order senshi, he doubted that they would look upon Versailles particularly kindly if they found out that the other had simply talked to him. Maybe their paths would cross again and mayhaps not - but should their paths cross again and Versailles still had questions, then Athene could see no harm in trying to answer– Well at least within reason. war meant that he ended up being placed there more often than not.
