||Origin || Born on Poni Island in the Alonan region.
||Character Story|| Selene's and Kahiau's parents were originally from different regions. Jean-Luc Beaumont was from Kalos while his wife, Palila Pikake from Aloha. Jean-Luc had come Aloha to do the island challenge when he was eleven. The two met when Jean-Luc had come to Poni Island to do the island challenge and her mother was the current kahuna. The rest is history after they met for the first time..... They eventually got married to each other once they were old enough.
Selene has a has an older brother Kahiau Adélard Beaumont, who is the current Kahuna of Poni Island. Both her and her brother got their father's blue hair. Her hair was a lighter blue while Kahiau's was a darker blue. Selene got her father's fair skin while Kahiau got their mother's darker skin. There was a seventeen years difference between them but didn't bother her much. His nickname for her was Litleo and she liked it for a time but eventually she didn't like it.
Selene had a best friend named Sylvester Merrimack and they had been friends they were little tykes. Selene couldn't remember many memories where he wasn't there when they were young as they were inseparable. Well, there were times that they couldn't be together for reasons but beside that, they were. After he began calling her ''Little Litten'', Selene would can him "Reckless Rhyhorn" when he was being a pain in the rear to her. Sometimes she wondered why she ever puts up with him half the time....
They went to the pokemon school and took the island challenges about the same. At this point, she already had an onix before starting the pokemon school. Sylvester and Selene received an eevee each as gifts when they started at the school. She was amused that Sly called his eevee Jury and it made sense.She named her onix Judge as would watch her and the eevee do performances. Selene called her eevee Hibiscus as she would always play in the hibiscus plants when it could. As the time passed, she got a feebas, Steenee, and a Jangmo-o while on her island trial. She caught even more along the way but those stood out more than the rest.
After they both completed the islands trials, they were planning to go for more training in the other regions. They had a disagreement on where to go to first. Selene wanted to go to Galar first so she could get a Galarian Ponyta and a few other Galarian Pokemons. Selene thought that Sly would want the sirfetch'd but he wanted to go ahead to Kalos where the mega evolutions stones were. She wanted to get the Galarian Ponyta for doing the pokemon contests in Kalos first though.
Also she and Sly traded one of their pokemons to the other. Selene traded Judge for Sly's Pancham, Po, as she realized that his Po didn't want to evolve to it final form since Sly had one dark type on his team, making a higher chance of it evolving into Pangoro. She also knew that Sly would want a pokemon that would be able to mega evolve. Trading Judge to him would make sure that he had at least one pokemon that can mega evolve before they could go to Kalos. Since she did have Incineroar , she made sure that she had an ever stone for Po to give him after the trade was done to keep him from evolving to Pangoro. Only to find out that Po already had a ever stone so she saved it for later for another pokemon that might not want to evolve.
So they came up with a plan to go their separate ways for a bit but to meet in in two months in Kalos in Lumiose City. Selene was there that day that they were to meet up but Sly was not. So she stay there in the city, waiting for him to appear. Days turned into a week, and weeks became a month.
Selene finally realized that Sylvester wasn't coming and it shook her to the core of her being. Never in a million years could she thought that Sly would stand her up like this! She tried calling him and texting but never got any responses back. Selene called her mother and asked her to come to her in Kalos to be with her. Her mother stayed and helped her to get over the fact that Sly had left her in the dust. Due to this, she realized that her feelings for Sly were deeper than she had previous thought and for him to do this..... She wasn't sure what to think at times.... Selene knew that her heart was taking an awful beating at this though....
Her mother also came with a new pokemon for her daughter, a shiny fennekin. The shiny fennekin had been capture by some pokemon poachers and the rangers that recovered her, brought her to the pokemon reservation that her parents ran. The fennekin made her mother think of her daughter before Selene called her a few days later about how Sly didn't meet her in the town that they were supposed to meet in. So her mother brought the shiny fennekin, thinking that the two would help each other heal.
With time, Selene did get over the fact that Sly left her in the dust it even though it would still haunt her from time to time though. Her friends, Estelle X. Teresea and Elio Y. Vern came and joined her for a time in Kalos. Having Estelle and Elio there with her, helped a lot but also a reminder that Sly wasn't with them. Fennekin helped with that along with her other pokemon that she caught and trained with in Kalos. She ended up being the Kalos Queen for three years running in the pokemon masterclass tournament. Even though Selene wouldn't have minded doing a fourth year as Kalos Queen, she was ready to head home for a long stay after she was beaten by a rising new star. Though at every tournament, it seemed that someone would send her a single flower from Aloha. There was only one person that would know to send her that and that would have been Sylvester.... At least she knew he was alive .....
While she was in Kalos, she had to deal with Team Rocket several times as they came after her shiny fennekin. There was one lady in particular that wanted her shiny fennekin, and that was Morticia. They had competed against each other in the pokemon contests and in the master class to become Kalos Queen. Selene, Estelle, and Elio rescued a Meloetta from Team Rocket Grunt, Morticia Monitor, in Cyllage City after a pokemon contest. The Meloetta choose to go with Selene even though she was free to go where ever it wanted. That was another reason that Selene was ready to leave Kalos when she did and hoping to leave Morticia and the rest of Team Rocket behind.
When she came back to Aloha, she went to back to Poni Island to live in her house that was close to the Altars of Sun and Moon, in a hide away spot to ensure privately for herself and her pokemon in the vast Poni Canyon. After being in the spotlight for so long, Selene wanted to become a hermit for a few months before starting her new job as a pokemon ranger on Poni Island. One could say it was thanks to Team Rocket for her to be motivated to become a ranger as she wanted to protect pokemon from their grubby, greedy hands.... Selene wanted to make sure that they don't get their hands on the island guardians....

The necklace that Sly made and gave Selene before they parted ways.
Selene rode past the rangers office without realizing it due to the speed that Rapidash was going. Her thoughts were mixed as they traveled on due to the dream that she had last night coming to the forefront of her mine. She had dreamed of Sylvester and didn't know if the fates were alerting her to the possibility of her seeing him soon or if it was her mind playing tricks on her. 'Like I need to be thinking about him right while on the job. I need to be able to think clearly and thinking about him will muddle my thinking and emotions...' Selene thought to herself as it was true where things dealing with Sylvester were concerned, even after all this time.
They had been childhood friends since as long as she could remember. If only she had known back then how much pain he would cause her, she might've not been friends with him in the first place. 'There was no way of knowing that when we first met as kids.... A part of growing up is learning the hard way... How people disappoint you.....' She thought with a slight frown on her face as they made their way towards the Poni Plains but then turn left into a side canyon area that was safe for people to go to into. She had Rapidash to slow down before entering the side caynon and moved in sneaky like. They went around to find that Po was closing in on a person..... Not anyone but HIM!!!!!!
Selene wanted to flee after seeing it was Sylvester Merrimack. So many emotions were going through her right now and wasn't sure what to do. Looking back at Sly, she saw that he wearing the red and white head band that she gave years ago... 'Yet, does still have the friendship black fish charm that was became a yin-yan symbol when connected to my white fish charm?'She wondered as her right hand touched her friendship charm. 'The only way that you will find out is by talking to the Reckless Rhyhorn... ' Selene thought as she saw Po near him....
Then her anger began to grow remembering that he had left her in the dust and no word from him.... Not knowing why he never met up with her in the first place... Now for him to reappear on Poni Island like this.... She came out from where she was hiding from him and began running at him to get some momentum for the roundabout kick to the face that she was going to give him. Once she got close enough, she jumped up to and gave him the roundabout kick to the face that Sylvester deserved. After he was laying down on his back, she sat down on top of him.
"Where were you on the day that we were supposed to meet at Lumiose Tower?!?!? WHERE WERE YOU?!?! WHERE WERE YOU?!?!?!! RECKLESS RHYHORN!!! " Selene let out at him before slapping both sides of his face, not knowing that there were a few tears streaming down her own face now...
"DISTORTION WORLD!!!! Bloody hell was what I went though when you never joined me in Lumiose City that day long ago! I even waited a whole freaking month there in case you or I had gotten the dates wrong somehow! You never answered any of my phone calls, texts, or emails! For all that I knew, you were dead!" Selene said, before taking a deep breath to try to calm herself down.
Then she turn her head to see that Po and Jury were having a friendly reunion. So Selene reached for Hibiscus's pokeball and let her out. " Hibiscus, go join Po and Jury for now and have a nice reunion with Jury even though Sly and I are not off to a good start of a reunion." Selene said as it was true that they not but that was mostly due to her at the moment but she needed to vent her feelings out and so she shall do.
Selene looked back at the Reckless Ryhorn, looking him in the eyes. " So I'll ask you again Sylvester Merrimack, where were you that day that we were supposed to meet at Lumiose Tower? I'm not getting off of you until I get the answer from you. It better be truthful and a legitimate answer. If I don't believe it, you're in for some more beatings." She said with fury in her eyes and hoping that he would tell her the truth but did she really want to know it? Especially if he fallen in love with someone else? 'If that's the case, I will just have to let that be.... Couldn't blame him if he found that love in Luiose City as is is known to be the city of love as well....' Selene thought to herself as some of the fury was dying down and frown was on her face....
Before Sly could answer her back, black smoke surrounded them. " What the... How many smoke seals did you use on that poke ball?" She asked as it didn't take her long to realize where the smoke was from. Selene should know what it was as she used such seals on her own poke balls, but never that many to cause that much black smoke. 'Could it be Judge's poke ball?' Selene wondered to herself as the smoke cleared to reveal Judge, the first pokemon that she caught.
" Judge!!! So great to see you! Be careful now.." Selene began as Judge began to affectionately rubbed his huge face against her. The next thing she knew, she was off of Sly and on the ground beside him. Her fury was gone for now as Judge cheering her up and she was chuckling at Judge's antics. " Judge, I miss you so. You're being so sweet, thank you." Selene said as she was smiling a true smile to her first pokemon friend. She began to rub his face with her right hand, giving him some affection as well.
Selene was still expecting an answer about the other but she didn't want to ruin this happy moment between them and their pokemon right now. " Now I sort of wished that I had the rest of the gang here but the other pokemon I have with me are from Galar and Kalos." She said with a sad smile on her face as she saw Po return the fist bumb that Sly was giving him. Po nodded his head yes to Sly's question about having adventures.....
Unexpectedly, Corviknight came out of his pokemon ball with a flourish of purple smoke and flew into the sky for a bit and then came back down to land on the other side of of Selene. Gajiru studies both the human male that had upset his human and the Steelix that was affectionately rubbing Selene. 'Why did Gajiru come out? That was unexpected to say in the least....' She thought before speaking again.
"This is Gajiru, a Corviknight from the Galar region." Selene said as Gajiru watched Po's interaction with Sly. He will keep an keen eye on this male that had upset Selene earlier. He had seen her upset before but not like he had sensed her to be upset before but he wasn't able to explain it though.
" Alright Judge, that's enough for now. I want to get up." She told her friend and Judge complied to her request. She sat up Indian-style and was watching Sly's reaction to Corviknight.'Something must have happened before I got to Kalos... Is it fair for me to make him talk about it right off the bat? Yet he could have left a note with some excuse back then and I would have believe it, even if it had been a lie...' She thought before speaking again.
"Yes, and no. I couldn't imagine not having Gajiru or Galarian Rapidash with me now..." Selene began as she stood up next to Gajiru. She most likely looked smaller than she actually was due to Gajiru's height. 'I wished that was taller than I am... Selene thought for the first in her life. She looked away from Sly for a bit and took a few deep breaths.
"I wasn't expecting to lose my best friend due going there first before going to Kalos. I thought of you every day that I was there, seeing things that I know that you would like and enjoy. I took notes of what I wanted to show and share with you for when we would go there together after leaving Kalos..." Unknown to her, Selene was blushing a bright pink at admitting that....
Then her anger returned, at the fact that he had left her behind with no message for why he did so.The blush was gone now and the angry look was back on her face. "Why did you left me behind Sylvester?? It would have been one thing if you had left behind a message or something as to why you couldn't meet as planned. Then maybe I wouldn't have waited for you for a whole month there at Lumoise City if you had left me a message there. For a little bit there, I had even considered checking the morgue for you... Then I chickened out and that when I call Mom since I was at lost on what to do next ." There was pain and anger in her eyes as she said all that....
Po saw the wild Pancham come out and come over to him. Then he began talking to it, even though both Sly and Selene hadn't noticed due to their talking. Next thing he knew though that Selene had fallen to the ground on her knees and clutching her stomach. He ran back over to her, to see what was wrong.
Never in a million years would Selene thought that Sylvester Merrimack would be this cruel to her. The one person that had been her best friend until what happened with him not meeting her in Kalos, and then now? She fell to her knees in shock, having one arm across her stomach while she had her right hand over her mouth. Hoping that that would keep her from screaming in anguish aloud. Tears were streaming down her face now as well.
After Selene fell to her knees, the rest of her pokemon came out of their balls due to her distress and surrounded her. Gajiru came to stand between Selene and Sly, giving him a death glare. Braixen and Po gave her hugs as Hibiscus tried to get into her lap. Both Rapidash and Cœur D'or looked at Selene and then at Gajiru. They move to either side of Gajiru, Rapidash on the right and Cœur D'or on the left. The three pokemon were ready to fight the human male that hurt their human partner.
Selen then felt her pokemon hugging her and looked to see what they were up to. She loved her pokemon and they loved her back and were trying to cheer her up. She gave Po, Braixen, and Hibiscus a weak smile before seeing that the other three were standing between her and Sly, ready for battle. A frown covered her face at that realization and she didn't want to battle. Before she could stop Gajiru, he sent an air slash attack at Sly. " No! Watch out !" Selene warned Sly even though he was the reason for breaking her heart once more.
Selene listened to what Sly said after seeing Jury use iron tail to deflect the air slash. She was still hurting and would be awhile yet before that would be over. But for now, his words started the fire to fight within her again.'Knowing him, he did that on purpose. He knows me well enough to know what makes me tick...Or at least, he used to...' Selene thought to herself before standing up again. She would think more on that later though at another time....
" Oh sure, at one time you weren't a loser but now I see that you are one. To throw away our friendship away like you have. To think that I went through the trouble to get you a shiny glorified taxi as you called it; it was a waste of my time to find the glorified taxi and no way will I give it to you now. " Selene said back at him, her tears slowing down as her anger rose again.
Then she looked at her pokemon, knowing that she still didn't want to battle that much but that's what was about to happen though." Everyone return, except for Gajiru. " She said to them as it looked like a few didn't want to but they did so. She came to stand next Gajiru. " Oh? If you're looking for a battle, then you got yourself one!" Selene said as she remember how Gajiru scared the heck out of Morticia Monitor long ago. A smirk went across her face at the memory.
"It was meant to be your birthday present. Your loss, my gain." Selene said back at him, rolling her eyes at his comment about him not needing her to catch pokemon. She watched the two Steel-type attacks collided and sent Jury into the air. " If you didn't want to battle then you should have it more directly then to begin with!" She said back to him. ' He should have known that I wouldn't let him just walk away yet after what he said... Reckless Rhyhorn that he is..' Selene thought to herself as she debated what move to use next. With how things were lining up....
" Ariel Ace Gajiru! " She said as he had to dived earlier from the Iron Tail. Gajiru swooped past the Dark Pulse that Jury used and was approaching Jury fast. Then he disappeared, only to reappear behind Jury and strikes him with Ariel Ace that sent the Umbreon straight to the ground.
'He's somewhat right on that but ever since Gajiru came out, Sly has been looking at him intensely though. ' Selene thought to herself before responding back." It's usually Po that starts fights most of the time, not Gajiru. Well, I'll give you that one but the way you had been watching Gajiru intensely made me wonder if Gajiru was thinking that you wanted to start a fight in the first place. " Selene said back at him, before the two began the Z-move moment together.
'Damn it! Gajiru hadn't much experince against Z-moves yet! I should see if I can use any steel Z-moves with him later. It's too late to try now...'She thought as the Black Hole Eclipse took out Gajiru. "Return Gajiru, thanks for giving your all today. " She told before Po came out of his poke ball and was ready to fight Jury.
"Sorry Po, I'm not going to use you yet. You can stay out and watch but don't interfere as of yet.'' Selene said before grabbing Hibiscus's ball and letting her out. "Use Quick Attack Hibiscus!" She said to Hibiscus, and the eevee went towards Jury to hit him with Quick Attack. She checked to make sure that she already had her Fightinium Z crystal in her z-ring as she want to use with Hibiscus.
Po was disapointed that he didn't get to fight now as he always enjoyed fighting with Jury. He grumbled, making clear that he wasn't happy about it and then went back to talk to that other Pancham....
Selene gave Sly her blank look and crossed her arms." Oh? You think there's something wrong with Hibiscus not wanting to evolve? Po didn't, so there's that. She's stronger than you think. Plus, it's nice to be able to do a battle without having everyone watching for a change." Selene said back at him, but she did wonder why she hadn't evolved yet to a certain degree. ' Maybe I should have Hibiscus checked out at the Aether Foundation soon. ' She thought to herself with the blank look on her face still. She didn't respond back to his calling her little Litten but her stance gave away that it annoyed her...
Hibiscus stared straight back into Jury's eyes, not giving him any ground. She gave him her meanest stare and not backing away from him like she would have in the past. Hibiscus wasn't going to let Jury have his way.... She wanted to defeat Jury alright...
Selene wasn't surprised when Jury use Psychic.' It was only a matter of time... I remember him having Jury use it during the Island Challenge.... 'She thought as those times came back to her... Selene cleared her thoughts so she could focus on the battle at hand. Selene was pleased that Hibiscus landed on her feet after being hit with Psychic. A slight smile moved across her face at that. "Hibiscus, use Quick Attack and follow up with Double Kick! "
Hibiscus was thrown backwards by a telekinetic force but she still managed to land on her feet. Then she did Quick Attack to get back to attack Jury with Double Kick move.
Selene watched as Hibiscus take the Payback move. Due to the amount of times that Hisbiscus rolled over, she wasn't sure if Hibiscus was still able to go on. Then the eevee got back up, still ready to fight." Let's keep it going Hibiscus! Do..." Selene began but stopped as something that hadn't happened before happen. Hibiscus's blocks the Iron Tail with her own tail having taken on a jagged shape and glowing green. Hibiscus had grass move known as Leaf Blade to block Jury's Iron Tail move. ' What the? Awesome!'She thought to herself as she realized that it had been the move Leaf Blade.
Hibiscus tumbled over a few more times than she would haved like but that whats happens sometimes. She got up and gave Jury the fiercest look that she could give him after she got back up. Before Selene could say what move use to next, she choose Leaf Blade. It was her first time using it and was effective in blocking Jury's Iron Tail. Hibiscus gave Jury a smirk at that.
" What the Arceus?!?!? That was amazing Hibiscus! I don't know how or when you learned that." Selene began before deciding to do their z-move now. She said before taking a deep breath and channeling her anger to power the z-move. "Channel our inner fighting spirit to finish the fight! All Out Pummeling!" Selene said as she and Hibiscus were in sync with their movements and feelings.
Hibiscus nodded her head in response to Selene's comment about pressing on with the fight. She glared at Jury before she and Selene joined in sync and did the movements for the z-move. Hibiscus took out Jury with All Out Pummeling move.
Selene was proud of how Hibiscus had beaten Jury this time. It was also the first time she had beaten him in battle as well. Selene saw how Sly was looking at Hibiscus. It was almost like how he was looking at Gajiru earlier... ' What had happened in Kalos for him to change?!? I want my friend back...' Selene thought before speaking to Hibiscus. "Wonderful job Hibiscus! I'm proud of you. Now to focus on battling Bisharp..." Selene began but before she could have her do a move, Executioner used Guillotine on Hibiscus. 'That was uncalled for! I know he's mad about that but still....' She thought before having the Eevee return to her Heal Ball.
"Amalthea, come on out!" Selene let out as she grabbed Amalthea's great ball to let her out. "Alright, let's go with Horn Drill." Selene said after Amalthea, her Galarian Rapidash came out of the ball. Selene was hoping that she could go ahead and take out Executioner with this move as it was similar to Guillotine.
Amalthea came out and looked over both Executioner and it's human partner. Once Selene gave the command to do Horn Drill, she lowered her horn and began charging towards the Bisharp, hoping not to miss her target.
