(This is a private RP between Teralinth dKalin/Etc. and Ice Queen/Etc. Please do not post, but feel free to read! biggrin Maybe you'll catch something new...)
Taking yet another glance at the directions she had scrawled down from the ages-ago post regarding a pool party, Tera made her way towards what she hoped would be the home of one Ice Queen, recently made co-manager of the Feien shop, and new co-worker to Tera herself. After having discovered the note she'd written a few days ago regarding Ice and the need to meet the woman, Tera had dropped by the shop in order to get the street address for Ice, and been surprised to find actual directions on the message board. Though she made a mental note to clean that board up upon her return, for the moment its jumble of old postings had proven rather worthwhile.
The fact that these directions nearly matched those she used to reach Kam's home didn't escape her, and she wondered idly if Kam knew this Ice Queen. Regardless, Tera still needed to meet her, since it was near to impossible to run a shop without knowing who it was you were sharing duties with. A low chuckle escaped her as she came up the street, trying to imagine what would happen if the two of them never actually met, but attempted to run the shop anyhow.
Finding herself before the house, and seeing Kam's right next door, she nodded, pleased. Not too bad. Might drop by and see how Kam's doing afterwards. It was with a lithe step that she finished the walk up the path to the front door, pausing and glancing around before knocking, ever so pleasantly.

"No!! Not the--" Ice groaned as a loud crash echoed through the house. "Dammit Silva, I told you to get someone else to move the rock!"
"Why the hell did you put it on there, anyways?"
"So people didn't steal your cherries for their polo games!" She replied, jerking as she heard someone knock on the door. "Well you knocked it over, you can clean it up." She muttered, motioning to the broom that was at least a hundred times larger than he was. He grunted.
"Nick, Nack--"
"Nuh uh, mister. They aren't strong enough to sweep and Kisa's on GoldRings."
"I was going to make them hold the scooper thing." He replied coldly.
"... Oh. That works!"
She turned then heading for the door as she pasted a grin on her face. No, she didn't have eight and a half inch tall fairies cleaning her kitchen. No no no-- With that thought she opened the door, still smiling. "I'm sorry, we're not buying."

Head tilting slightly at that surprising greeting, Tera smiled and raised one gracefully arched eyebrow. It was rather fortunate that her eyes had returned to normal recently, lest she be thought of any stranger than she already was, what between the scar that curved down her face and the relatively mundane jeans and shirt she was wearing. "That's good, because I'm not selling."
A bright smile accompanied those words; if she'd learned anything during her time in Gaia, it was how to put up a winning appearance. "I'm looking for Ice Queen?"

Ice blinked, startled. "Silva did it." Were the first words out of her mouth. Then a small growl was heard and the feien in question bellowed a reply.
"Like hell I did!"
"Oh please, everytime we have someone visit like this it's because of something you've done!" Ice called back. Then she turned. "Won't you come in?"
"I haven't done jack s**t this week--" Then he stopped. "Unless it involves the rottweiler down the street..." There was a strangely thoughtful tone in his voice. "But I swear that b*****d was still breathing when I was done with him..."

She was hardly shocked to hear the talking fairy, who reminded her a bit of Maq. Maybe a slightly twisted Maq, but Maq nonetheless. Let's take a stab in the dark here... Stepping into the house, Tera folded the paper she had been carrying neatly and tucked it away into her back pocket. "You're Ice Queen, I imagine?"
Though she waited at least until the other woman had the door closed first, Tera extended her hand to her hostess. "I'm Teralinth d'Kalin."

"Oh, um, guess I forgot to say that. Yeah, I'm Ice Queen. But everybody calls me Ice." She motioned towards the couches. "Come sit, I'd offer you refreshments, but the kitchen floor is covered with cherries at the moment."
"Dammit, Nick, that's not a soccer ball." But there was a slight drawl to the comment meaning Silva was amused. Then a little thump.
"Ooooow..."
"So... um... I'm Ice and--Oh! Wait! You're Tera! The other shop manager, right?"

"That's right. Shop co-manager, fellow Feien Bond..." As she made her way to the couches, her instinctive habit was to glance around, marking the exits for future reference. Of course, the moment she realized she had done that, she berated herself mentally. Turning back to Ice after having reached one of the couches, she lowered herself onto it with a feline-like grace. "I'll call you Ice if you call me Tera."
A wry grin curved her lips, and she chuckled. "Got your hands full, it sounds like. Need to take care of that? I can wait if so." There was the slightest hint of a strange accent to her words, the same hint that Quantel's speech carried.

"Nope. This is his punishment." Ice replied, dropping down across from her. There was a sliding glass door at the back of the house, an exit to the garage on the second wall, the front door and a hallway to the bedrooms. The kitchen was partially open, with two doorways and no doors. "Besides, he's pretty strong for such a little guy."
"Done." Silva muttered as he walked into the front room, looking up at Tera, his toothpick clenched between his teeth. He raised an eyebrow in silent question.
"This is Tera, Silva. The other store manager."
"Huh."

Laying her arm against the rest at her side, Tera lifted her fingers in greeting to the burgundy Feien. To Ice, she said, "I know how that is. My first Feien, Maq, is fairly strong himself." With a bit of a chuckle, she added, "Makes me wonder why the other two are so delicate."
She took another glance in Silva's direction, appraising his height from where she sat. Might be taller than Maq. A little wiry, though.

Silva snorted, heading for the chair where Ice was sitting and dropping on the arm rest, his stance deceptively lazy, one leg dangling off the side, the other propped on the chair next to him, one long arm resting on the knee.
"Who are they?" He asked. "Maybe I've met them."

After a history of long conversations with Maq, and the more recent ones with Quantel, Tera wasn't one adverse to speaking to a Feien directly. "The youngest I doubt you've met, because she just emerged Monday; her name's Ori." A thumb came up as she reflectively tapped her thumbnail against her upper incisors. "Then there's Quantel, who you may or may not have met. She's a blue Shadow, with largish wings." And not entirely social.
And with a half-smile, she came to the one she figured, erroneously so unbeknownst to her, that Silva would recognize. "And finally there's Maquinar, my oldest. Little shorter than you, with a penanche for fighting."

He jerked. "Quantel?" He repeated, quickly wiping his reaction off of his face. "Huh... that should be interesting..." Then he shrugged. "Don't know the other two. Might have seen the red guy before, though."
Ice frowned, catching his jerk with a curious look. "Silva's a shadow element as well. Maybe they would get along."
Silva snorted.

The hunter in Tera certainly hadn't missed Silva's reaction to Quantel's name. Years of hiding one's emotions, however, had given her a better control of her own reactions; the tiniest quirk of her lips was the only indication she had seen anything. Smoothly, as much for Silva's benefit as it was for Ice's, she addressed Ice's comment. "Quantel is rather different from most Feien. Even like elements might not identify comfortably with her."
Seguing neatly into the original purpose for her visit, she concluded, "Of course, all of our Feien will probably get a chance to interact, now that we're in a business together."

"Thanks but no thanks." Silva replied, looking cool and collected. "I'm not big on... social gatherings."
"Silva, don't be rude!" Ice said, glaring at him for a second. "I'm sure that would be great. Maybe we can throw a party together or something! You know, try to get more people and feien interacting with the store."

Tera chuckled. "Just as well, Silva. Maq would probably just try to talk you into sparring with him." A smile was offered in Ice's direction. "A party would be a great idea, though I don't know where we'd hold it. The shop seems to be a little small for even a medium-sized gathering."
She tucked a long leg beneath herself, then added, "I'd been thinking of throwing a party for Maq's one year Summonday, but that's still a couple of months off."
