Hey, some folks are wanting to do a pokemon rp. Who else might be interested in joining? I figured we could use this board for plotting and all that jazz. I know Chris, Strikers Gal, Red, and I are in.
I'll be doing an announcement soon to see if anyone wants to join this and the Hero school rp.

We could use elements of the suggested Hero School RP to make a Pokémon Rangers Academy. Whatever we do, I'm interested. The World of Pokémon offers so much to explore.

I'm good with anything you guys come up with. Maybe we could have something to where people can Rp as pokemon as well if they'd like. You know, have other options to them rping as trainers.

We still hash out a general plot for the rp so please share any ideas!
I do like the idea of having some rangers involved in the rp. Toying with the idea that my charrie might be one.
Do we want team Rocket or one of the other bad folks groups to be involved?
Which pokemon region do we want to use or come up with our own?

Hi everyone! Thank you for having me! ;-; heart
For a Pokemon RP to get started, I think it would be nice if it were a free-for-all region sandbox, and everyone got to use whatever characters they wanted without being too restricted- ranger, trainer, gym leader, evil organization member, or Pokémon itself since the Pokemon world has always been pretty expansive anywho! I think the diversity is something we could play around with, maybe? I think I'd definitely have some trainers/gym leaders/(maybe evil org members?) I wouldn't mind throwing into the mix!
I've seen a lot of original regions on Gaia get complicated, and most people get hard walled and lose interest because they never know what to do in them... or they have to rely on someone rolling dice for every random encounter- instead of you know, building/starting with the team that matches their trainer most. I get the idea of a trainer journey is the slow burn, but with how fast RPs start and die on this site in particular, getting to the exciting stuff is important. ^^ But as for regions, uhm I like Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Unova, Kalos, and a bit of Galar. I've a really really big soft spot for Johto tho since HGSS was my favorite. ;///;
What's everyone else's favorite regions games? :'D

We definitely should have some kind of antagonist group, I think. Whether Rocket or something else. As for regions, I am partial to Kanto and Johto, since I played in them the most myself. Though, Galar wasn't too bad either.

I'd say the Rockets sound like the safest bet! Having an evil team around is a good idea around if we have people who can play good villains.
I'd say a familiar region like Kanto and Johto but with an original antagonist team sounds appealing!

I do like how in journey anime that they are going to all the different regions so I am opened to having an open world where we can travel to all the different regions. I'm partial to Alola due to the anime though, lol.
I'll be using Levy McGarden pictures for my main charrie but she won't be named Mari for those that are familiar with her. lol.

Maybe our main setting could be near the home of a legendary pokémon that the villain has their sights set on, so they bring a squad to the area to capture it and any other valuable pokémon they find.
Team Rocket fits well but this plot works for any Pokémon villain.
