Iexa 1
He was wading in the water when he saw an extremely familiar figure on the beach. He had been hoping to bump into his brother out here.
"Hey! Glad to see your back for a bit, how was Oba?" He had yet to adventure far from home as he had been helping one of their younger cousins with a project.
"I can't wait to go see the world, I'm super excited to hear all of your stories." He fist bumped his brother.

Lynx was busy walking his familiars. Or rather, walking one and carrying the other. He'd gotten a Perzi kitten while he was over in Oba just so he could raise it. When he heard his twin's voice he looked up and offered a smile. "Its hot, as usual." He shrugged a bit. He had been making the trip to Oba and back for a few years now. Mostly to go visit their grandmother and uncle. "Eh, it's not that exciting. Besides, this time around I was forced to carry some girl to the nearest town. Not fun."

Iexa 2 "A girl forced you to carry her? Well that sounds perfectly horrible. Was she at least cute?" He hadn't had that much experience with ladies yet, he was too busy getting up to nonsense as his Father called it. "Cute kitty." He couldn't wait to start building his own group of animals. Lynx was doing a good job. It sounded like his Brother's adventure had been more than he bargained for.

"I guess?" Lynx hadn't really thought about the girl in that way. Mostly he'd just been confused by the whole encounter. "She had blue skin like dad but she was kinda demanding." He shrugged a bit. The comment about the perzi he held made him look down, his smile growing. "Right? Cutest one in the litter. Not sure what to name it yet. Pretty sure it's a girl." He'd thought that was what the breeder had told him.

"No doubt, she is a little lady that is for sure." He smiled at the kitten. He had such a soft spot for perzi. He let the loatoa sniff his hand as well. "I can't wait to start collecting critters. Soon I can come adventuring." "Well, I'm sorry your trip was a bit of a hassle." But he was very glad his brother was back. "What do you want to do now that you are here for a bit?" He said, still petting his brother's familiars.

He grinned "Heh, Lady." He looked down at the kitten he held. "That's a good name for you." Lyn scratched behind the perzi's ear and looked at his twin. "I could go for some good food." Lynx hadn't made it to their grandmother's house this time around so he hadn't gotten to eat a nice meal. And their uncle had been busy working so he'd not gotten to eat a meal there either. "If we hurry we might be able to catch the market before the dinner rush."

Iexa 4 As if on cue his stomach rumbled obnoxiously. "Food would not be amiss." He was permanantly hungry. His father said that it was because he was still growing but Iexa had doubts. No matter how much food he shoveled in inevitably he was hungry again soon after. He was growing though, he had to get new pants because the rest were showing too much ankle. "I can't wait." The only thing better than eating was eating with his twin. The one person that he needn't filter his personality for. Lynx was brother, best friend and counsellor all rolled into one neat identical package.

The wicked grin he gave in response to Iexa's stomach giving him an answer turned into a laugh. "Yeah, food is always a good thing." He nodded his head toward the market. "Come on." He adjusted the kitten so that he was carrying her in one hand then patted his thigh with his now free hand. "Juniper." He called to the Loatoa by his feet. The small command had the beast looking up at him before she clawed up his pants leg to the small satchel at his side and burrowed into the large pocket to hitch a ride.

The aroma of all kinds of food cooking greeted their scenses and it felt like his stomach was going to eat him from the inside out. "Nothing like market food when your hungry I say, I'm snagging some of those meat handpies." It was his go to when they were at the market. Hot, meaty and flavorful. His mouth was watering already. "What do you feel like eating?"

Lynx chuckled at his brother as he mentioned his favorite. Even he knew that was what he liked. Still, he nodded his head. "Yeah, you better get them before the dinner rush." He tilted his head back as he sniffed the air and smiled. "I think I want two meat kabobs." He looked toward the food stalls and nodded in their direction before he pointed with his free hand. "Have a feeling Lady will want a piece and I know Juniper will. Thankfully Banshee isn't with us." Banshee was his young janarim. He'd taken the poor beat home after their trip to rest before he went looking for his twin.

Iexa 6 After he arrived back where his brother was, meat pies in hand he decided to "How did Banshee fair on the trip?" He knew his brother's janarim was still young and he was a big fan of the beast. Though Lady might steal his heart with her itty bitty little paws. He munched happily on his food. Lynx was back which could only be a good thing. Twice the twins, twice the mischief. He was sure the rest of them would be delighted too. This was a moment he would cherish. They were getting older and starting to do way more things on their own. He always knew when his brother was around that he was all but invincible.

By the time his brother was back with him he had his own treat in hand. Holding the perzi kitten and trying to eat was interesting. Especially since the little thing had smelled the food and was trying to paw at or even share a bite every time he brought it to his mouth. The constant meows that came from her letting him know she was hungry. Lynx didn't give in, however, since he didn't want bad habits to form early. "Surprisingly, he did pretty well. He managed to carry that girl's bags with no issues. Not that they were heavy." He smiled. His janarim hadn't even lost focus when the girl was with them. Once she was gone however.. that was another story. "On the way back he got a little excited. The first oasis we passed by he ran to and jumped into the water. I didn't have the heart to yell at him." Lynx chuckled. Banshee had been adorable and since he was still young the boy didn't think he had to act serious all the time. "When are you getting your own familiar?" He asked with a grin. Lynx could tell that his brother really liked what he did. Of course Lynx had figured out that was what he wanted to do fairly early and had convinced his mom to let him get a beast.

Iexa grinned at the tales of young janarim antics. "Well I have been hanging out at the Xaraan tracks for a while, I heard that is how you can earn the trust to get close to the beasts." Maybe an opportunity would open up there, with a Xaraan or with one of the other beasts that was often at the tracks. "I know the right one will come and I will know it when it happens." For now he would play doting uncle to Lynx's furbabies. "I bet you Zasha will want a hoard of pets of her own one day, do you think Zohra will too?" He patted Banshee, impressed that he had kept his cool in front of the lady, maybe he was smarter than they had thought.

"I don't think mom will like a house full of beasts." Lynx chuckled at the idea of a house full of animals and their mother trying to cope with them all. "It'd be fun to watch Zasha with a hoard." He could just see their little sister being followed around by a gaggle of furry beasts. Zohra might complain a little. He did like to complain about Lynx's Loatoa sometimes. Though it was true that his familiar liked to take shiny things.

"You may have a point there. But it does make a really good argument to build a large barn on the property, with proper fencing and the like. Mom's happy, we are happy, Dad is just Dad." Rydan's base mood was pensive and happy. Iexa loved that about his Dad. He seemed to be the steady one, where Mom was like a beautiful hurricane. He loved his Mom so much. She was strong and beautiful and highly intelligent. He did wonder sometimes why none of them had gotten their Dad's steadiness, maybe it was scared and in awe of their Mom too and her traits just overpowered his.
"Or we could get our own place." Maybe a nice farm area. That would be the life. All of the space and none of the neighbors.
